An Hour Later

Carla's P.O.V

Lucy walked into our room with a concerned expression. It confused me but I chose to ignore it. "The wedding is tomorrow," I said causing her to nod. She sat down on the bed. 

"Yeah" She looked like she felt bad for me now that I thought about it. She should be angry at me or something like that. I took her keys and she gets worried about me? Something's not right.

"What is it?" Her expression changed to surprise. I was right. The only thing was I couldn't figure out why. 

"Huh?"

"What is it that is causing you to look at me like that? Do you feel guilty about something?" She pouted before she looked away from me.

"There is nothing wrong." She said before she laid down. "You should get some sleep okay." Was it something she heard? Also now she seemed concerned about me sleeping. She recently was getting her last sizing by Machi. Those two seemed to have gotten closer as well. She must have known something. I sighed as I thought of it. What did she hear? Was it something about Kino, Yui, Shin, my past. 

"Did Machi tell you anything?"

"Huh?" Her heartbeat sped up. She was nervous, I knew it. I stood up and walked toward her. 

"Did you two talk about something that is making you concerned about me?" 

"You are my fiance, why shouldn't I be worried about you?" 

"Last time I checked you were only marrying me to keep your secret."  I pinned her and noticed that her expression had been unreadable and it frustrated me. What made it worse had been that she didn't say anything. She looked away from me. "Answer me" I turned her head to look at me.

"It's nothing"

"Nothing huh? Don't you think I know when you are lying to me? You already have done that multiple times since I met you." The look of guilt returned.

"If I tell you, will you promise that you will not do anything to her?" I arched a brow.

"To who?"

"Machi" I nodded.

"What did she tell you?"

"That you were sick." It was that. I let her go and sat on the right of her. "How come you didn't tell me."

"That is because it is none of your concern."

"I am supposed to marry you tomorrow. It was going to be my concern somehow. " I let out a dry chuckle before I looked at her.

"You hated the idea of that, now you actually want to do it?" She looked away from me with a blush.

"I am still here am I? I may not be in love with you but I still care." She was lying. If anything she cared about her guild and keeping their reputation. "Carla, are you okay?" She said as she moved closer to me causing me to stand.

"We will talk about this later," I said before I left.
