+ (you're my) twenty four

Kyungsoo and Nari returned from their date after midnight, and she unlocked the door for them, pushing the door open to allow them inside. They were going to sit in the living room and talk, something they hadn't done in a long time since they were either always busy, or always arguing lately. It was hard for them to just sit for a moment and appreciate each other's company. /nari walked into the apartment first and invited him in, which he agreed with a polite bow of his head, a cute smile making an appearance on his heart shaped lips. Nari really missed that smile, which she now mostly saw in variety shows, or interviews. He hardly seemed to smile at her like that anymore. It seemed that he was mostly annoyed or frustrated when he wasn't on camera. 

But this was a different night and he had been able to rid himself of some stress by enjoying her company. Kyungsoo was still always so respectful of her. Even when they were arguing, or when he was annoyed by work things, he was quick to watch his words so as not to hurt her feelings. He also always appreciated how she could melt all his stress away with one kiss. 

As they made their way into the apartment, they both stopped frozen in their tracks at the sight before them. Something that caught the two by surprise. 

There was a movie playing on the television, already far into the ending credits. But on the couch was Nari's room mate Narda, more fondly known as Guti, and she was fast asleep on the couch. She was laying down, and behind her, arms wrapped securely around her like they were a couple was Baekhyun, his chin resting on her shoulder comfortably. Both slept soundly in each other's arms.

The two who had just entered the apartment were confused to say the least. It was something they would have never expected, out of all and any possible scenarios. "I thought they didn't talk anymore." Kyungsoo mentioned to Nari, gesturing to Narda and Baekhyun on the couch with a nod of his head.

"I thought so too." She said back in a whisper. "I'm as surprised as you are."

On the coffee table was a case of Corona beer, which misled them to think that the two had gotten drunk together and were now asleep on the couch. It served as their first clue to figuring things out. Kyungsoo couldn't help but think about Chanyeol upon seeing the other two together and comfortable. Like nothing bad had ever gone down between them. Narda was Chanyeol's girlfriend, yet there she was getting comfortable with Baekhyun. His voice came out in a mutter full of displeasure, already putting together a scenario that he didn't like in the slightest. "Chanyeol needs to know about this. Its unfair of them to do this to him."

Nari touched his arm, quickly jumping to Narda's defense. They had been room mates for a year already and Nari knew her well after all. "Let's not judge them without knowing what happened first. I know Guti and she's not like that. She would never betray Chanyeol oppa." She also knew that Narda was still hurt over what happened with Baekhyun, so much that they still didn't talk and she always did everything in her power to avoid him. It didn't make sense for them to have gotten drunk and spend the night together.

Kyungsoo heaved a sigh, but agreed that she was right. He needed to stop jumping to conclusions and take things one step at a time. But it was hard. He couldn't help but be bothered by the possibility that Narda was sneaking around to Baekhyun behind Chanyeol's back. Especially when her boyfriend lived and breathed solely for her. He loved her too much. Chanyeol practically worshiped Narda. 

"Let them sleep and we can ask questions in the morning." Nari suggested, even though she personally thought it was none of their business. She had only mentioned it to calm Kyungsoo. Taking him by the hand, she made him another suggestion. "Why don't we go to my room and watch a movie or something?"

He was immediately swayed by her offer.

Back at the dorms, Chanyeol wasn't the least bit concerned that Baekhyun wasn't back yet, even though he had left the dorms hours prior. It was difficult for them to get along ever since Narda had gotten into their lives, but Chanyeol attributed none of it to being Narda's fault. He thought it was all Baekhyun's fault, if anything. Baekhyun had been the one who claimed he wasn't interested in her. Had he spoken up from the start, Chanyeol had never allowed his feelings to get in the way. Now he was too invested in the relationship to even consider letting her go. He was also upset about the fact that Baekhyun had used Narda and then left her to date Taeyeon. He broke her heart, and she had avoided them for weeks because of him.

Chanyeol was only glad that because of it he was able to swoop in and win over her affection. Now Narda was with him and he had no intention of letting her go now that he had her. 

Their leader Junmyeon was concerned about their missing member and went to knock on Chanyeol's door. Chanyeol was already getting ready for bed after an afternoon of composing some music. He was currently working in his studio, recording the vocals for the songs he had written. Enough to fill an album for his precious Guti. It was going to be a present for their fourth month together. He was hoping to surprise her.

The EXO rapper went to open the door, finding their leader standing out in the hallway. "Have you heard from Baekhyun?" He asked with concern. "He still isn't back yet."

Of all the EXO members on their floor, he thought Chanyeol would be the one to know about Baekhyun's whereabouts. They were best friends after all--as far as everyone else knew. None of them really knew the extent to which Narda had become the object of their affections and the person who had accidentally pulled them apart. It hadn't been entirely her fault. It had been their own for deciding to fight over her instead of properly trying to win her over.

Chanyeol gave an uncaring shrug of his shoulders. "I don't know. He was being a crybaby earlier and stormed off." He replied with an annoyed scoff. But that annoyance was directed towards Baekhyun and not their leader Junmyeon.

Junmyeon immediately caught the disdain in Chanyeol's voice, which had been more than obvious. It led him to realize that something was wrong between the two boys, and he felt a bit sad that something like this was happening. He was also upset that he hadn't noticed earlier, to help them fix it before it got as out of hand as it looked now. 

"What happened?" He asked another question. "Are you two fighting?"

Chanyeol was quick to explain since he thought that maybe their leader, who was like an older brother to them, could step in and make Baekhyun see that he needed to back off Narda. "He wants to take Guti from me." He whined in his deep voice. "He doesn't want to understand that she's mine. She's with me and wants nothing to do with him. That's why he's mad and that's why he stormed off earlier."

"You both need to stop fighting over her." Junmyeon heaved a sigh, changing into scolding mode like he often did whenever the other members were misbehaving. "Do you think she likes that? Getting fought over by you like she's some kind of trophy? Treat her like a person and stop being childish."

"I am, its just Baekhyun--"

Junmyeon gave a firm shake of his head, stopping him. "Its not just Baekhyun. I've seen you rubbing your relationship in his face. He likes her too, but he screwed up and can't have her. You need to focus on taking care of your relationship instead of worrying about what Baekhyun does."

Chanyeol didn't exactly like the advice he had gotten from his leader and folded his arms over his chest like a scolded child, biting his lip defiantly. But deep down, he knew Junmyeon was right. He often did find himself dangling his relationship in Baekhyun's face because he thought it would make him stop thinking about Narda. Instead he needed to just focus on her and what they had together. But he just loved her so much and was trying to do everything to keep her around.

"See if you can get a hold of him." Junmyeon asked of him.

"What can I do?" Chanyeol wondered. "He's mad at me and probably won't answer my calls."

Junmyeon said that he would keep trying to get in touch with Baekhyun and then left the room. Chanyeol got into bed, not losing a wink of sleep knowing that his group mate still hadn't returned to the dorms.

"He's probably out with Taeyeon or something." He muttered to himself.

 On the way back to his room which he shared with the maknae, Junmyeon ran into Kyungsoo. "Soo-yah," He greeted his fellow member with a nod of his head. Kyungsoo greeted back with a bow and the leader of EXO continued. "Have you seen Baekhyun? Chanyeol and him got into a fight and he still hasn't returned."  

Kyungsoo gave a shake of his head and quickly lied, "I haven't seen him."

The next morning Narda stirred awake and felt someone behind her. Having completely forgotten the previous night's events, she turned in his arms smiling gently. "Goodmorning papi." She murmured softly and leaned in to kiss who she thought was Chanyeol on the lips. Only instead she stopped herself dead in her tracks when she realized the person sleeping next to her was not Chanyeol, but Byun Baekhyun himself.

Her eyes widened in shock as she heard his sleepy voice replying to her, still in the comfortable clutches of sleep. "Morning, baby." He said to her, tightening his arms around her and nuzzling his face into her neck. 

She pushed herself away from him as a high pitched scream escaped her lips that served to wake him from his pleasant dreams. She had pushed herself so hard that she ended up falling right off the sofa with a hard thud on the carpet floor of the living room. Her screaming not only woke Baekhyun up, but had also woken Nari who raced into the living room with a lamp in her hand, ready to strike down any attacker who was trying to hurt her friend Guti. 

"Stay away from her, you creep!" She shouted at the top of her lungs, swinging the lamp back and forth while Narda was still in shock on the ground and Baekhyun was wide awake now.

When Nari saw there was no real danger, she walked over to Guti calmly, placing the lamp down on the coffee table in the living room. "What's wrong? I though you were getting attacked by wolves or something."

"And you were planning to save me with a lamp?" Narda questioned, her breath quickened and her heart racing.

Nari gave a shrug of her shoulders. "It was the nearest blunt object in the room. Why were you screaming?"

"I though he was Chanyeol, and I was this close to making out with him." Narda explained, horrified.

Baekhyun brought his fingers to his temples, closing his eyes to keep the light from affecting him. "My head is fucking pounding."

"You should have thought of that before you drank half a case of Corona by yourself." Narda pointed out coldly. The previous night she had been more tolerant of him because of the state he was in. But now she was back to having no mercy on him. "I only let you sleep here because you were drunk. Now please leave my apartment." She now picked herself up off the ground and walked to the other end of the room, putting as much distance between them as possible.

"But Guti--" Baekhyun tried to protest like a child.

"You heard her." Nari stepped in. "Leave before I call Soo to come collect you."

Baekhyun heaved a sigh, and got off the couch, slowly making his way for the door. He left the apartment without attempting to say another word to Narda.

As he left the apartment building he didn't seem to notice the flash of a camera going off.

so another update for this story. we are about sixty percent done with this story and there is some more drama to come, so stay tuned for that everyone. i keep saying im going to update talk about boys. but im really trying hard to do that.

its just that i've been so busy with work recently and i have been unable to update a lot of my stories. but thank you for being patient and still being here for me.
