Baekhyun went to the dorms before heading to Busan. He wanted to confirm what he already knew--that Chanyeol was no longer there, but that he had left town to accompany Guti to some mariachi festival. On the cab ride there, he had booked a flight on his phone. When he arrived in the dorms, he asked the cab driver to wait for him. Then he climbed the six flights of stairs purposefully to find the floor he shared with the other boys. He barged into Chanyeol's room, knowing that the door would probably be open.
He found the bed was neatly made and a few of his belongings were missing from the closet. From the window, he looked across the street to Nari and Narda's apartment. All the lights were out and no one was home.
From the dorms, he headed to the airport, getting back in the taxi. As he neared the airport, he got incoming calls and texts from one of their managers. No doubt Nari or Kyungsoo had told him about Baekhyun leaving the hotel and there was a punishment in store for him. But he didn't care. He ignored the calls, but read all the text messages without replying. All of them asked for him to return to the hotel at once. The more recent messages warned that there would be consequences for his disobedience. The EXO vocalist considered ratting his group mate out to the manager, but as mad as he could be at Chanyeol, he wasn't one to do something like that.
While it was true that he was going to Busan to shamelessly sabotage their date, he wasn't going to put him on the spot with the managers.
The flight took about an hour and he arrived in Busan around midnight. Now that he was more calm and had thought things through, he still hadn't faltered in his decision to find him and maybe even fight Chanyeol for lying and sneaking away with Narda. But he had seen a few flaws in his plans. For one, he didn't exactly know in which hotel they were staying in, and he didn't even have a ticket to the event. There would be people at the entrance checking for tickets and he didn't have one.
He took yet another cab to the first hotel he could find and solved his second problem on the way there. He was easily able to find the website selling tickets for the festival and bought one for himself, so that he would be able to get in. Though he had to wait about a half hour in the lobby of the hotel while they searched for a room for him, he finally got one and was in his bed by around two in the morning.
Baekhyun couldn't sleep that night, picturing Chanyeol with his arms around his Guti. It made his blood boil. He wanted to go out and find them right then and take her away from him.
It was well into three in the morning when he finally drifted off to sleep.

Their first day at the festival had been a successful one of them mostly eating, and taking pictures together. Narda wanted Chanyeol to try all the foods at the festival. They started out with Mexican corn on the cob, which she fed to him and he ate happily. Then she dragged him over to a booth that sold tamales, then they had pozole, bunuelos, menudo, tacos, carnitas, carne asada burritos, nachos, birria, champurrado, everything they could find until Chanyeol could eat no more.
They listened to a few of the bands play some traditional songs and as the sun set, they went to one of the booths that sold alcohol and shared a few drinks. Narda warned him that they would have to pace themselves and have self control. She didn't want them to get drunk in a crowded place where strangers could take advantage of them.
The two were merely buzzed as they returned to the hotel after the sun had gone down. They got back to their rooms stumbling, with a bit of a struggle and Chanyeol got the door open.
Narda went over to the bed and plopped down on it, too tired to do anything else. The drinks in him made Chanyeol a bit braver than usual and he immediately started tearing off his clothes until he was down to his boxers. Narda didn't notice, since she was now laying on her back in bed, eyes closed and feeling a bit like the room was spinning around her. She only moved when she felt Chanyeol pull the covers aside and jump into bed next to her. She shimmied side to side until she managed to get the blanket out from underneath her.
Once she was under the covers, she felt Chanyeol scoot closer to her, his arms wrapping around her as he spooned her back. Narda giggled at the contact, but didn't struggle in his hold. He was her boyfriend after all and she wanted to allow him certain liberties. Like kissing her and hugging her whenever she wanted to.
He nuzzled his face into the back of her neck and said in his deep voice. "Night jagi. Sleep well and have nice dreams." His hot breath tickled the back of her neck.
"Night vida, sleep well." She replied happily.
Sometimes, whenever things didn't feel strange in their relationship, she would take to calling him vida. It was a term of endearment in Spanish that literally translated to life--it was used when a person liked someone so much that they were their life. With Narda and Chanyeol, it was more like the other way around.
Both of them fell asleep quickly that night, having had a great day at the festival together.
Neither of them suspected what was to come.

Narda and Chanyeol woke up at ten the next morning, with Narda's head on his chest and a leg draped over his torso. They said nothing of it as their eyes opened and they found that he was in his boxers, almost fully undressed. Instead he kissed her goodmorning groggily and they got in the shower one by one. Then they went down to the lobby together for breakfast. Like the previous day, he was clad in a mask, cap, and sunglasses to prevent himself from being recognized. But every now and then he'd pull his mask down to give her a quick peck on the lips.
He was the one more into PDA, always wanting to touch her and kiss her, always wanting her close to him. It was around mid day when they headed out to the strip to join the festival again.
They held hands as they took their time looking at the different booths now. They had one where people could get their faces painted with the colors of the Mexican flag. Another booth where one could decorate t-shirts. Narda dragged Chanyeol over to both booths.
In the first one, they got their faces painted, while in the next they decorated shirts together. Chanyeol wanted Narda to make a shirt for him. She grinned as she covered up what she was doing until she had her finished product. Chanyeol continuously tried to peek over her shoulder, but she swatted him away playfully. When she was finished and she showed it to him, he couldn't help but grin to himself.
"Do you like it, vida?" She asked him, proud of herself as she held the shirt up for him to see.
She had drawn on the Mexican flag with puffy paint, then added a few red hearts. Underneath the flag she wrote out the words Guti's Boyfriend with even more hearts surrounding the words. While on the back she wrote out the surname Park, and the number 61.
They stayed at the booth a bit longer afterwards and he did the same. On the one he was working on, he drew a Korean flag with the words Chan's Girlfriend on it. On the back he wrote the surname Guti, and the number 17, which he knew from the stories she would tell him that it was the number she used when she used to play football in high school. Guti put the shirt on over her clothes and Chanyeol did the same, the two of them wearing the other's creations proudly.

The two had been at the festival all day, and it wasn't until some time in the late afternoon when they ran into Baekhyun. He had spotted the couple looking at traditional and colorful handmade bags by the indigenous people of Oaxaca when he stomped over to them purposefully.
He shoved Chanyeol back away from Narda, taking both Chanyeol and Narda by surprise. Narda watched them with eyes widened and a gasp escaping her lips.
"You said you were sick, you fucking liar." Baekhyun accused, spewing venom in his words.
"Why the fuck do you care?" Chanyeol shot back defensively. He brought his arms up and pushed his group mate back with the same amount of force.
Narda was afraid it would soon break out into a full on fight.
"You're here with Guti when you know damn well what happened between us." Baekhyun said, reminding his friend of everything that had happened in the past year. Chanyeol knew that Baekhyun still liked Guti, and that Guti still liked him back. But it had worked out more to his convenience that the two were mad at each other--or rather that she was mad at Baekhyun. He had seemingly used her and taken advantage of her after all.
Baekhyun was just about getting ready to shove his group mate once again when Guti had had enough of them and their constant fighting over her. They were best friends, but when it came to her, they were the worst of enemies, and she didn't want that for them.
"Will you just stop already?" She stomped her foot on the ground, voice stern.
Both of them turned her attention to her.
"Stop fighting over me right now." She demanded, looking from one to the other with a glare.
"Yeah." Chanyeol agreed with a nod of his head. "She already chose me, so back the fuck off Baek."
"She loves me." Baekhyun said , continuing with the argument. "You fuck off."
Narda groaned loudly, seeing herself partially ignored by the two. Her good mood of the festival now spoiled, she rolled her eyes and turned on her heel, walking away and leaving the two to their argument.
The two boys immediately stopped and followed after like lost puppies, whining after her, "Guti wait." They called in unison.
She stopped and turned back towards them momentarily, a glare in her eyes that if looks could kill, she would have murdered them on the spot. "Do not even dare to follow me as long as you're going to treat me like something you have to fight over. I want to be alone. Argue all you want for all I fucking care, I'm going to enjoy the festival." She told them through gritted teeth. The two boys took the scolding, clear shame in their eyes.
Narda walked away again, disappearing into a crowd of people. They didn't follow her for one of two reasons--she wanted to be alone, and also they were afraid that if they followed her, she would tear their their throats out. Many people they knew in their lives were small and scary: Kyungsoo, Nari, and Narda who at about five foot three managed to strike fear into their hearts with her words.
Once she was gone, Baekhyun muttered angrily, "See what you did, Chanyeol?"
Chanyeol's jaw dropped in disbelief. "Me? You're the one who came to sabotage us! We were just fine before you got here."
"If you hadn't snuck around with her behind everyone's back we wouldn't be in this mess." Baekhyun said.
"Stop being jealous over her. She's my girlfriend, not yours." Chanyeol shot back.
Soon the two were standing on the sidewalk, arguing again.
Always arguing over Narda Gutierrez.
