Chapter four
At the time that the three friends were resting after the days escapades, there was still a commotion in the deputy's office. Kotov's younger brother had come to visit: he had an extremely important matter to discuss and the young, thin cat was looking very pale and his body shook in panic.
"I- i s- stole the papers... Gulp... Boshkanov's papers" he stuttered, his voice high with terrified hysteria. "T- they are searching - for m- me" the younger brother knelt down, grasping Kotov's cloak tremulously, his narrow face staring tearfully. "Help me! You must help me!"
Kotov grimaced scornfully at his brother, shaking his cloak away from the younger cats trembling grasp. "You should have been more diligent... More careful!" He sneered, glaring at the thief in frustration. "If they find out, we'll never get out of this alive!" He spoke in a Loud whisper.
His brother, sprawling on the ground, looked shocked by Kotov's actions and shaking in terror and panic, got up on shaky paws, appealing to his only brother. "They are already onto me... Please help me, take me somewhere safe"
Kotov helped his brother up, an absent look in his eyes. "Yes yes... We must keep this quiet" he confirmed, flicking his tail uncomfortably.
And so... With these important papers stolen from Boshkanov, the equivalent of the prime minister, fear and suspicion... Old prejudices and scapegoats would be introduced in the search for these documents. And the three loyal friends would find their lives intertwined with survival, love and politics.
