cast + character blurbs.
devery jacobs as zara murphy
the ripple.
Zara is probably really lucky that the Town doesn't have rules past one: don't cause harm or the death of a fellow person. If they were still living in the real world, it would be unacceptable for her set random small fires or steal from the cars of those that entered the town, only to ever leave in death's arms than the nostalgia of the vehicles they came in. It was still socially unacceptable in town, but she didn't care, or at least she acted like she didn't. Zara has kept Sheriff Boyd on his toes the first day he set foot in Town, and was nothing more than a troublesome nuisance that was just one more thing to add to in a place where monsters rip people to pieces when the sun sets. Boyd tries to see past her minor crimes since his deputy has taken a liking to her, but there's one issue that Zara hasn't dropped on them quite yet.
Zara was six weeks pregnant when she rolled into the Town. It's been three months since she arrived, and she still has yet to tell anyone except the Town's only doctor, Kristi, and she plans on keeping it that way as long as possible. However, when the Matthews family becomes the Town's newest citizens, her curiosity gets the best of her and puts her directly in harm's way, starting a ripple effect.
nadia hilker as nehemia (knee-uh-my-uh) taylor
the bridge.
Nehemia has been in town for longer than most can remember, having driven in with Father Khatri after hitchhiking a ride from him off the highway. Nehemia told the Town the same story she gave Father Khatri when he picked her up off the road— she was a former Air Force pilot that had been honorably discharged due to medical diagnosis. As most veterans are treated back in the States, she was abandoned. Her girlfriend picked up and left when she returned with her diagnosis, leaving her with an empty home until she was served with a paper telling her she needed to pack her things and leave before they had police escort her out.
That left Nehemia to pack her belongings in a bag and take a hike—literally. And that story was true, it just left a few things out. Things that might have to be revealed in order to figure out how they could get home, especially when she makes a fast bond with Tabitha Matthews, the woman who can apparently see a way out of Town.
billy crudup as bailey mason
the lock.
Bailey doesn't quite take anything as seriously as he should, not in Town, not before, in the real world. He's far more laid back about things than he should be, and it's usually pretty difficult to strike a nerve within him, but once it's been hit, there is no stopping the red he'll see and the rage that will follow. While he gets along with most of the townspeople, Sheriff Boyd can't seem to be rid of the bug under his skin that is Bailey Mason, and maybe that's because it's public knowledge that Bailey is a former convict.
Aside from his ticking time bomb personality, Bailey also has a strange relationship with Victor, the oldest living resident of the Town. At first, Victor drove him insane, but he later started to develop a strange brotherly relationship with the peculiar man, and usually took most of what he said about the monsters and Town with a grain of salt, but if he wants to make it out and find his actual brother, he'll have to start listening.
aneurin barnard as jordan mason
the key.
Jordan believes that his older brother either overdosed and died on someone's couch in LA or ran off and changed his identity to move to another country. They've not always had a strained relationship, but upon becoming adults, they drifted apart and Jordan still isn't sure why. For the better of his mental health and the request of his mother, he stopped looking for his brother after six months had passed. However, life seems to have other plans as he ends up on a bus from Grand Rapids with a group of strangers that have no clue what they're about to run into.
hoyeon jung as lydia falt
the shadow.
Lydia also boarded the bus from Grand Rapids, but with no destination in mind except to escape, so she supposed she got exactly what she asked for. She was running away from her dead drug addict of a father and her schooling and her relationship that seemed to haunt her more than her ghost father. She wasn't expecting to end up in the Town, but you don't really have time to worry about what you were running from before when you're running from monsters that want to tear your skin off its bones.
