(Itachi's residence)

Itachi: Do it now Haruto. It's time for me to die.

Haruto aimed his Katana at Itachi but when he was about to strike him Kakume arrived.

Kakume: What are you doing Haruto? What is this Itachi? Why are you and Izumi sitting like you are waiting for you death?

Izumi: This is just family business Kakume. Just stay out of it.

Kakume: Fuck! It's no time for family business. We have an emergency call Itachi.

Itachi: What do you mean?

Kakume: World war is about to break. I'm counting within a year or two. 

Itachi: What?

Kakume: A representative from the world council for peace went to your office. You know what it means right?

Itachi: I know. I'm sorry Haruto. I guess we have to postpone this for some time. This is more important than our family issues.

Haruto: It's ok dad.. I understand... It's  about world  peace.. That's something you live for.

(Meeting at the Akatsuki Academy)

Itachi: I just met with the leaders from the world council for peace. They are suspecting world war is happening soon. They've been into intel gathering around the world on suspected sources of unknown and illegal weapons. But there's one place they can't infiltrate, Orochimaru's lab.

 Kisame: That snake! 

Itachi: They suspect, he's cooking something  like maybe weapons that are causing spite between countries. 

Kakume: Orochimaru is just a scientist Itachi. I believe it's his investor Mr. Kiyotaka. He is possibly behind this. For centuries, their family gathered riches after every world war.  

Itachi: It is possible. But we cannot make conclusions without evidence. We do not even know clearly what weapons he is making. All are vague.

Deidara: What else could be a powerful weapon? Something that explodes! 

Kakuzu: Of course. I don't mind gathering intel as long as the price is right. So how much are they paying us?

Kisame: Damn, Kakuzo! Haven't you even changed at all. We are doing something noble here and you always attach money to it.

Kakuzu: Kisame, it's because of my business administration that this academy is not penniless.

Hidan: We'll give you credit for that Kakuzu. 

Deidara:  Ok now let's decide who goes and who stays with the kids here.

Itachi: The kids are going, not us. 

Everyone in chorus: WHHAATT??

Itachi: The council leader told me their initial intel reported that Mr. Kiyotaka has been breeding kids ages 5-15... as to what specifically, they don't know. No one has infiltrated that lab. It was legally registered as a normal pharmaceutical laboratory but, they are suspecting the pharma is just a facade. Something's fishy is happening inside that the council would like to know.

Konan: So that is why they're hiring our academy, because they believe our kids are reliable enough to infiltrate the lab.

Itachi: Correct. They need about six kids. I think we should send all my students from the level five plus Haruto. They're just 13-14 years old so they can be admitted to that lab.

Kakume: Uhm. We lack two. Sarada and Ibuki. Where is Sarada Itachi?

Itachi: Don't worry about her. She just went back to her real family. That's why I am replacing her with Haruto. As to Ibuki. How come he is not around?

Kakuzu: That boy doesn't have the motivation to go to school. He's lazy as always.

Kakume: There is something I'd like to tell you guys. Ibuki came from Orochimaru's lab. I just heard it randomly from his thoughts. As to what he did there, I don't know.

Deidara: Wait. Can he be a spy sent by Orochimaru or Mr. Kiyotaka to our academy? What was his name again?

Itachi: He introduced himself as Ibuki Kuroshi. What else about him do you know Kakume?

Kakume: I always heard him cursing his dad and the white room experiments. I didn't really mind it. You know most kids are rebellious against their dads. Other than that we don't have enough background about him.

Kakuzu: Damn, someone from Orochimaru's lab infiltrated the academy. You know I'm always wary with that snake even when he was still with the Akatsuki. 

Kisame: And that Ibuki is absent from class without leave. I guess there are other rats spying on us here. 

Konan: Let me handle finding who the rats are in the academy.

Hidan: Ok, I go look for Ibuki. In the name of Jashin. Don't worry about it anymore. 

Deidara: We still lack one kid to send.

Deindre: Send me with them dad! I don't wanna be away with Haruto for long. 

Deidara: Damn, Deindre you were eavesdropping our meeting without us noticing you.

Konan: Hahaha... I guess she can use that talent to spy on Mr. Kiyotaka.

Kisame: You're right about that. 

Deidara: Well I guess you should go so you can make me proud.

Deindre: Yay, thanks dad.

Kakume: So how are they gonna send the six into the lab?

Itachi: Only the council knows. They do not want to fully collaborate with us since they knew we are for hire by anyone. The council will orient them and facilitate their entry. They said Mr. Kiyotaka has been unusually sponsoring too many kids like there was massive recruitment happening.

Konan: Ok now,  to sum up. We send Taiyo, Minami, Ume, Kugutsu, Haruto and Deindre. 

Deindre: Yes, I'm in! Don't worry. The success of our first mission is what I'll live for.

(Inside Orochimaru's lab)

Shana's POV

I hate the smell of this lab. I don't want to come back here anymore, if not for Ibuki. I wouldn't be rubbing elbows with his dad and Orochimaru. Stay put Shana, smile and stay sweet to the snake who is here. 

Shana: Grandpa Orochi!

Orochimaru: You're here again to play. Aren't you on a mission today?

Shana: I am here to report to my future father-in-law about the Akatsuki Academy.

Orochimaru: Oh he just left he's going to meet some new kids today. But he'll be back to look at the Uchiha's chart.

Shana: What do you mean, Uchiha?

Orochimaru: Sasuke's girl volunteered to be in the white room last week.

Shana: Sarada? She's here and for a week already?!

Orochimaru: Yes.  Mr. Kiyotaka was unbelievably happy everyday since she came. He doesn't always mind my business here in the lab but this is the first time that he checks on a kid everyday.

Shit! She's gonna stole Ibuki's dad affection away from me. F-ck I am going to kill her. 

I smile sweetly to the snake and observed what he was doing. 

Shana: So how's the Uchiha doing grandpa?

Orochimaru: She exceeded Mr. Kiyotaka's expectation. 

Shana: Hmpt. She's just one week. All the tests here are easy even for me. Just wait til she reach the level 5. The poison test. Hmpt. Only me and Ibuki survived it in our batch.

Orochimaru: Well you're as impatient as Mr. Kiyotaka. He doesn't want to expect too much only to see her die. He wants to reverse the sequence. Although Sarada is just level 1 he wants me to give her the poison test first. So I am administering the poison test today.

Shana: Really? Is that why you have all these vials here? 

Orochimaru: Don't touch that one Shana. That is off-limits. That's a new poison with almost zero survival rate. Well actually there's two who survived. But their memories got mixed up. They both went crazy over one and only thing left in their memory. 

Shana: And what was that?

Orochimaru: Both can only think of murdering Mr. Kiyotaka. So they ended up attacking him. Hence, Mr. Kiyotaka doesn't want to invest in that anymore. 

Shana: Why do you think they'd want to kill him?

Orochimaru:  This poison erased their memory. But some basic animal instinct was left on their brains.... after being almost killed by the poison they want to avenge themselves with the one who hurt them. It was Mr. Kiyotaka who injected this to them.

Shana: And they thought they'd live to kill Mr. Kiyotaka who made them suffer. 

Orochimaru: Most likely. Therefore he had them both killed. 

Shana: So if you're not gonna use this, what will you use?

He showed me a vial that looks the same with the off-limits. 

Orochimaru: This --- This is what I will use. The same poison I used with you. It has higher rate of survival compared to that one.

Shana: Ibuki and I survived it because we had the curse mark. So did Sarada already had the curse mark even at level 1? 

Orochimaru: She is special case. I want to test her without the mark. 

Shana: But she would surely die. The pain is unbearable.

Orochimaru: Then that means an Uchiha is not special at all. But still I won't know until I test it right?

Hah. This is your d-day Sarada. But what if she survives? Mr. Kiyotaka might love her more than me. What if he choose her to marry my Ibuki?

Damn, I must kill her.

Shana: Can I administer it to her grandpa?

Orochimaru: No.. I want to do it myself. Wait in there Shana, don't touch anything. I just need to answer this important call.

There you go snake. Now he just left the vials here.. This is my chance to exchange the vial with this new poison... Go to hell Sarada. Ibuki is mine. He is the only one I live for.

Sarada's POV

Cold... I am feeling cold...
My muscles trembling nonstop. My nerves were like bursting one by one. I felt like acid is flowing through my veins and not blood. I am slowly dying from the excruciating pain I am in to.

Death... is it my time to die? No I don't want to die yet. I can't die. 

 But why? Why am I struggling to live? Who am I living for?

I can't think clearly. I am starting to forget who I  am. What is my name? I got to be on top of this situation. I can't die. This pain... I must overcome... I will fight it with mind over matter. 

I've got to think of something for me to live for... but what is it? 

What? Why do I want to live?

Uggghhhhh.... right now my mind is not cooperating. I can't think of anything. I feel like I'm floating. 

Noooo... this can't be... I've gotta think of someone... someone.. someone important to me... my brain is just blank... please.. any memory...

I was coughing blood and I felt my body is now failing me... and my brain cannot even have its last thought before death... I cried begging myself to survive.. I look at the wall surrounding me.... all is white. Just plain white. I'm in a room where everything is white. 

God, if there's a god. Help me... Make me live one more day. 

But why? With this pain, would not death be better than life? 

I am desperate and I want to give up now. Then at last I saw someone one my mind. My last ounce of memory.. But he was attacking me. He was trying to kill me. 

Ugghhhh... I get it now. I got to live for him. But who is he?

He is...

I... I .... 

It--Ita---Itachi... Yes, it's him..

the only name I can remember right now... 

Although I remember a face and a name I am confused why I got to live to for him. I tried to think some more not minding the pain I am feeling... until I remembered a deep voice of a man ordering me to kill him...

Murder Itachi... that's it... 

My motivation to live... I got to live ... to murder Itachi... this image of a boy that I can only remember right now. He who tried to kill me, it's him I must live for.
