Chapter 4
Sorry for short chapter here
Also sorry for any mistakes
What was the good of continuing? This lawyer obviously couldn't care less about this, everything Ash had said went right past him as he refused to listen.
Ash thought about if this guy was really even a lawyer, since he seemed really shitty at what he's doing, but it did come clear to Ash that his opinion and the truth mattered nothing to them. The lawyer was convinced he did it, they all were.
Victim, proof, witnesses. They claimed they had it all. So tell me, where was it all? What they had to go off is the words that others had spoken as well as those written on a sheet of paper.
Funny, isn't it. Words on a simple, ordinary piece of paper could decide your whole future. Does it matter to anyone if the words written are all untrue? No, it doesn't, not a bit.
Words. No pictures, proof, witnesses called. Nothing like that.
This ass of a lawyer didn't seem at all fazed that his side was losing, but as if all this was predictable under the circumstances.
Ash's POV
No one believes me, not a single one.
Why? How did this happen? Everything was fine, but then it all changed with a knock on the door.
Stupid. One action, one choice could have such a huge impact on what was to come. Solutions, so far I can think of many of them that would have kept this from happening.
They continue to talk on and on about what should be done, they know as well as I what will be the outcome of this will be.
I truly am innocent, but as far as anyone else is convinced, I should 'atone for my sins'. They still continue on and I know it's all gonna be over soon, but there's nothing I can do about it. I've always thought that there's something that could change things, to make things better, but not this time. Absolutely nothing.
I want to see my pokemon, hoping that they believe my innocence that is. They would, right? They as all of my other friends should know that I would never do something like this, that this is all just some misunderstanding.
How could anyone believe this? They don't have anything to show that I am guilty.
I am innocent, that's the truth. It's hard to convince people when you're not allowed to speak up or share your opinion on the matter. Is this really how things are?
Is everyone here in this room convinced, convinced that I am have committed this crime?
Why?! For what reason would I have to... to-
Everyone stopped talking as everything has been decided and put into place. The final decision was about to be announced, this could potentially change everything.
Stupid town...
Stupid people...
Stupid... everything
" Ash ketchum, you are hereby found guilty "
-To commit murder?
