Round 3, Part 8
Macaco let out a strangled cry of emotion, as the majority of the tribe voted her guilty. But before Manchado could tell her to leave, she shook her head.
"No, don't even say it! I'll leave completely willingly. But you'll let me speak first, and you'll actually listen," she declared. Some of the members opened their mouths to protest, but Manchado cut them off.
"Very well, Macaco. But after this, you'll leave," the Chieftain warned. She nodded, then turned to look at the rest of the tribe. Her gaze hardened, and she raised her voice.
"I'm going to come out and say it - this tribe is going downhill. Half of the tribe has been murdered, you're exiling innocent members, and you executed Nindiri, who was innocent!" The jaguars looked guiltily down at their paws, at the mention of Nindiri.
"That's why I'm going to start my own tribe," Macaco continued, "all of you are welcome to join. If you're exiled, you may still join. It will be called the Tribe of Towering Palms. I will be the Chieftain. I will still need a Warchief and a Shaman. Think about it". Then she padded out of the jungle, leaving all of the jaguars unsure.

Manchado woke up in the dark jungle, and immediately knew where he was. He wasn't surprised in the slightest. He knew that it was only a matter of time until the murderer came after him. After all, they couldn't keep him alive when everyone knew that he was innocent.
"Come out and face me, you coward!" he roared, keeping his eyes on the jungle ahead. He listened for any sound of movement, but he couldn't hear anything. Where was the murderer?
"I'm right here, Manchado," the shadow cat hissed, slinking out of the trees. "And I have to say, this is one battle that I've been looking forward to for a long time". Manchado met the cat's eyes, surprised when he saw the image of one of his tribemates in them.
"I should have known it was you! I should have exiled you when I had the chance!" he growled, furious. The murderer sneered at him, unable to control themselves.
"But you didn't, and now you're going to die. Didn't even get to say goodbye to your loved ones - oh wait, I already killed most of them. My bad," they taunted. Manchado let out a furious roar, and leapt with claws outstretched. But the murderer teleported on to his back, digging their claws into fur.
"You can't win a battle here, Manchado. I have powers you couldn't even imagine," they hissed. Blue fire erupted around his body, burning like the fire of a thousand suns. He was gone in an instant, leaving the murderer to bask in their glory.

"Manchado? The rest of the tribe is gathered outside. No one was murdered last night, so we think that Macaco was -" Masaya began. She stopped when she saw her brother no longer moving, and let out a shriek.
"Masaya, what's wrong?" Preto asked, breaking into the Chieftain's den as well. She pulled back and buried her face in his fur, letting out a sob. Preto noticed Manchado's still body, and placed a paw comfortingly over her shoulder.
"He's dead, Preto! Who would do this?" she asked, heartbroken. Preto pulled her out of the den, so she wouldn't be there when they took out his body. He motioned for Raio and Machupo to go into the den, making sure they knew what was in there.
"We'll find them, Masaya. I promise," he murmured. Chuva stepped up in front of them, once Raio and Machupo had laid Manchado down in the clearing of the camp.
"Them? I bet it was Masaya! She found him!" Chuva declared. Preto glared at her, but was surprised when Javari padded up to join the female.
"Masaya was the first accusation. We'll vote on her," Javari announced. Masaya let out another sob. Her brother had been murdered, and her friend had accused her?
"It's okay Masaya, they know you're innocent," Preto told her. But inwardly, he wasn't so sure. Would the tribe vote to exile her?
