Chapter 9 - Dead
November 8, 2013
When I got home from school on a Friday, I got on my computer to work on a history project. We had to write about something that interested me. I was writing about all of the people that died in the houses. I knew that I could've just asked them, but I had to have sites from where I got my information. If I tell my teacher that they died in my essay, then tell him I asked them about it, he would tell me I was crazy.
I looked up "LA Murder House". My house came up, but I decided to type in "Deaths in LA Murder House."
When I looked that up, I clicked on a site that listed all of them. I was glad that this was accurate. I went down through. Yes, Montgomerys. Gladys and Maria? Got them. I looked through the last few deaths. Since they were going from oldest to most recent deaths, the last one occurred closest to now. I looked at the last few.
Brett Harmon.. Vivien Harmon.. Ben Harmon.. Then I looked at the last one on the entire list. Michael Clifford.
I texted him a picture of the screen, saying, "please tell me this isn't true.."
"Babe.." I heard from behind me. It was Michael.
"Did you transport yourself here? Or were you just standing there, being invisible?"
"The first one. I'm so sorry I didn't tell you," he wrapped his arms around me. I wriggled out of his grip.
"Baby.." He sniffled. I let tears fall down my cheeks.
"You better be sorry," I told him.
"What was I supposed to say? Hi, I'm Michael. I'm dead. Wanna hook up? I don't think so," he looked down at me, giving me a warming smile. (A/N: stealing his dad's lines, I see.. Soon he's going to be saying 'Watch it you goddamn queen')
I laughed a little at his remark, "I'm sorry, Michael."
"You're sorry about what?"
"I can't-"
"You can't what?"
"You're dead, Michael. I can't date someone who's dead when I'm alive," I told him, crossing my arms. (A/N: I bet some of you are just sitting and waiting for him to show her her body..)
"I love you, Pandora. I don't want to lose you," he began crying.
"You won't. I promise," I hugged him. I couldn't do this.
"So we aren't breaking up? You can still date me even though I'm dead?"
"Yes, Mikey," I smiled, then told him, "we should tell Paul. We don't want to keep a secret from him then him be really mad when he does find out."
"Okay.." Michael hesitated, but agreed. We walked over to Paul's room.
"Paul," I walked towards him.
"Yeah, Pandora?" He turned around to face me.
"I need to tell you something about Michael," I looked down.
"And what would that be?" He asked.
"He's-" I began, but Paul cut me off.
"Dead?" Paul wondered. I nodded, then asked, "how did you know?"
"I told you that I smiled at Thaddeus because it proved my theory right. I thought I had seen Michael's obituary online when I looked up the house after mom and dad told us about it."
"Oh," I bit my lip, "so you've known this whole time?"
"Yeah, why?"
"And you didn't tell me?"
"No.."
"Why not?"
"Because I knew how much you liked Michael and I didn't want to ruin your relationship. Did it?"
"No.. I forgave him," I looked at Michael.
"For what? Dying?"
"No! For not telling me."
"Okay," Paul nodded, "I'm glad you guys worked it out."
"So you're okay with us together? I thought you didn't like us together?"
"No, I never said that. I just didn't like the fact that Michael was keeping the secret from you."
"Okay," I smiled at Michael, "so you like us together?"
"Definitely," Paul nodded, and I kissed Michael.
