This chapter takes place after the Cabin Fever chapter

Sapphire P.O.V

After the trip, I've been keeping an eye on Uzi. Making sure she doesn't kill anyone or accidentally kill her dad for food. I check up on Uzi making sure she's doing alright, so far she's doing good. As for me, after I ate some of my classmates during the trip, I stayed distant from everyone for awhile to get my mind all sorted out and making sure my hunger doesn't get the better of me again

'It's still strange though. I made sure to drink plenty of oil before leaving, my hunger came so fast from the moment I left that cabin' While I was lost in thought, I didn't notice someone standing behind me

"What's got you thinking?" A voice said behind

I jolted up from fright, and without thinking, I used my tail to attack, but the drone caught my tail. I turned around and saw E

"Woah, easy there. Just me" E said as he let go of my tail

"E? What are you doing here? And how did you know where I live or know where my room is?" I asked

"That's for me to know and for you to find out" E smirked and I rolled my eyes "Jokes aside, why aren't you at school?"

"I... I'm just a bit scared"

"Scared of what?" E asked

"I guess myself. After the whole incident at the camp, I'm scared that I might go on a hunting spree again and eat everyone. I'll be treated like a monster and probably be kicked out of here" I said as I sat down on the floor, pulled my legs up and placed my forehead on my knees

Neither E or I said a word, I heard shuffling and next thing I knew, E wrapped his arm around me and gave me a side hug

"Don't think things like that. It'll only make you feel worse" E said

'Is he trying to comfort me?' I asked myself, and I looked up and saw an expression that I never seen on E's face before

"Listen. Just because you killed a couple of your classmates, doesn't make you a monster instantly. Take it from me, I've been killing and eating Worker drones far longer than you ever did and that was when there used to be humans here. Besides, you have your friends with you who cares about you, and well..." E's cheeks turned pink "You also have me if you need someone to listen to any of your problems that you don't feel comfortable telling anyone" E said and I was left in awestruck

'Since when did he become like this? The first time I met him, he was trying to eat me, then he found me interesting because I'm half disassembly drone and now, he's concerned about me. This guy is very hard to understand' I thought to myself and E unwrapped his arm and stood up

"I'm gonna head out now. See ya" E said as he left my room

Even he was gone, I can still feel his touch when he wrapped his arm around me

"Ugh... Stupid feelings" I mumbled to myself as I wrapped myself in a blanket

E P.O.V

After I left Sapphire's room, I made sure no drone saw me because I made a secret passage for me to sneak in. When I got to the spot, I moved the curtain to the side and pushed a stack of boxes out of the way and went through the hole. Once I got out, I pushed the boxes back in the spot, after I finished, N appeared behind

"Hey, E!" I jumped

"N! What the hell?!" I shouted as I punched his head to the ground

"Ow! Sorry!" N apologized "Did you just hide a secret passage inside?"

"No! Shut up! You didn't see anything!" I shouted as I started to walk away and N started walking next to me

"You know E, I noticed something different about you" N said and I looked at him with a confused look "You've changed, and I think that's great! Don't you think so?"

"Hm... To be honest, I'm not so sure" I said and N laughed

"C'mon, don't whine about it like that. Like it or not, you're full of life right now, E" N said

"Really?" I asked

"You're going to be okay. Though I am curious, any particular reason I should know about?" N asked

"A reason, huh? Hmm... I don't really know" I said

"Could it be... you fell in love?" N asked as he started to do a small dance and I halted myself "Oh, my tail is swinging, maybe I'm in love! E, E, E, E, E-! Huh!?" Once N noticed me not walking, he rushed over to me while stammering and I immediately started to speed walk "Are you serious!? You?! Who's never had a girlfriend since the beginning of never?! Wow! You really have changed!"

"I-I-I don't know what you're even talking about! There's no way I'm in love!" I exclaimed

"And I think I know who it is too! It's Sapphire isn't it?" N asked who looked very excited

"S-Shut up!"

"You're not denying it though. *Gasp!* Does she know?! Or at least feel the same?! Tell me the details!" N said

"What's even going on?" V asked as she landed on ground

"E's in love with Sapphire!" N said and I felt my whole face starting to overheat

"What?! No way!" V said who looked surprised

"Yes way!"

"Ugh! Okay, I'm out!" I shouted as I pull out my wings and flew off

No One P.O.V

Sapphire went back to school, but still feels a bit nervous. She took a deep breath and entered her class. So far, everyone were chatting like usual, I took a seat at my desk

"Sapphire!" I turned my head and saw Thad "You're finally back in school?"

"Yeah. I needed some time to get my head in straight after everything that happened" Sapphire said

"Makes sense. At least you're back" Thad said as he went to his desk and class was about to begin

The whole day went by and school was done for the day. Sapphire met up with Uzi who was carrying a box full of parts, most likely for her railgun

"Hey Uzi, need help?" Sapphire asked

"No thanks, I think I got it" Uzi said as she started to struggle a bit

"Maybe it'll help if the items inside were in order. Set the box down" Sapphire said and Uzi groans as she puts the box down. Sapphire looked inside and saw a huge mess "No wonder it was heavy, you have both parts and books in here. I'll carry the books and you'll continue to carry the parts, okay?" Uzi nodded

Sapphire took out all the book and Uzi picked up the box with parts, they both started to head home. When they got home, Uzi put the box on her bed and Sapphire placed the books on the desk. Then Sapphire noticed a book about dinosaurs

"Uzi, why do you have a book about dinosaurs?" Sapphire asked

"What?! Shoot! I must've grabbed it without realizing it. You can give it a read if you want" Uzi said

"Hey Uzi, how are you feeling?" Sapphire asked

"...Fine so far. Thanks for asking" Uzi said as she started working on her railgun, Sapphire took the book and went to her room

When she got to her room, she saw E sitting on her bed

"Aaahh! What are you doing in my room?!" Sapphire shouted

"Waiting for you. I want to check up on y-!" E's eyes widen when he saw the book in Sapphire "Is that a book about dinosaurs?!" Sapphire was surprised from his sudden change in attitude

"Y-Yeah... Uzi brought with her on accident. Umm... Do you want to read it...?" Sapphire asked and E nodded rapidly

Sapphire handed E the book and he immediately sat down on the floor as he happily started reading the book

"Do you... like dinosaurs?" Sapphire asked

"Yes! They're just so awesome and so badass too!" E said excitedly and Sapphire was stunned "Uh... Something wrong?"

"It's just... I never seen you so happy about something like that" Sapphire said as she sat down next to him "Why are you so interested in them?"

"Well... I'm not sure why, but for as long as I can remember, I've always been interested in reading books about dinosaurs and it made me wondered what it would be like if I got to meet one. I bet it'll be awesome" E said

"I see"

"What about you? Do you have a favorite creature?" E asked

"My favorite creature? Hm... I think fishes" Sapphire said

"Why fishes?"

"Well, they come in different colors and forms. Some are big and some are small, some can be cute and some can be scary. They're very fascinating creatures" Sapphire said, while E was silent "E? You okay?" Then E fell on the floor and an X symbol appeared where his eyes were with Error 606 "E! Hey! Wake up! E!"

"Sapphire! Something happened to N and V!" Uzi said as she barged into Sapphire's room

"Really?! Same with E! What's going on?!" Sapphire asked

"I don't know, but let's find out. To my room!" Uzi said as she left and Sapphire dragged E out of her room, and hoping they'll figure out what's happening to the trio
