It had been a couple months after the bomb incident, and a lot of stuff had happened since then.... Khan stepped down, and disbanded all factions of the WDF to make way for The DJD, or the Drone Justice Department, ran by Uzi. V had regained her credentials as a Teacher for the younger drones, and Thad became a coach for young Drones playing sports while Lizzie remained a stay at home mom. Gambit was as happy go lucky as she was before her first time in the colony, still going on with Ballet as the lead and her academics under V's care, and Uzi and I have never been so proud to be parents! Khan still tries to have some kind of connection, but it's only from a distance as we had made it abundantly clear that he was no longer welcome near us, not until Uzi felt ready to bring him back into her life and forgive him, which I had a feeling would be a loooooonnnnnngg time indeed! As for me... I went back to working as a mechanic, repairing walls, computers, and I even suprised my wife and daughter with a robotic golden retriever that's still in the Beta stages of development. Funnily enough, Beta was what Gambit chose it's name to be! My night terrors about the past had eventually gone, leaving only dreams and rest in it's wake. I strive every day like it's my last, and my family is ALWAYS the top priority I hold from sun up, to sun down.... And I always make sure to put in my data logs how much I love my wife and daughter, and how thankful I am every day for how they changed me.
