Wind howls in the night. Thunder and lightning follow not long after. Outside a cathedral, two Sentinels stay chained as a "FOR LEASE" sign hangs out, indicating that this cathedral was converted into a lab.

Inside, scientists scatter about, hard at work.

Ridley: Science holding strong, sir! (Dramatically) Math...

Above, a Drone is being held via chains. A card floats by.

Nori's face indicates she is under control by the AbsoluteSolver. A scientist looks up, thinking she is staring at him.

Ridley: Dr. Chambers!

Mitchell: (Gasps and looks at his name tag) O-Oh, no -- I-I-I'm not...

He looks around and realizes he accidentally put on the doctor's uniform instead of his intern one.

Mitchell: (Whispers) Is this guy important?

Suddenly, Nori detaches herself from above. She lashes out at Chambers knocking his clipboard out of his hands. The other scientists begin attempting to contain her.

Ridley: Chambers! (She tosses a card at him.) Get 48!

The card says "YEVA".

Mitchell: Right, so... (Chuckles nervously) This a doctor-specific thing?

The bishop, also masked, walks up to Nori and pulls out a crucifix.

Mitchell: 'Cause I'm on it! (He flees the cathedral.)

Mitchell rushes outside into the rain. He looks back to see Nori's face as the doors close. After narrowly avoiding the two Sentinels, he makes his way to a shaft.

Inside, he passes by some lockers until he notices one with the number 48 on it. Yeva's locker. He opens it to find Yeva inside. Apparently, she was playing Tetris when he interrupted. Mitchell indicates she is needed, much to her chagrin.

Back outside, the duo rush back to the cathedral. Michell looks past him. The two Sentinels have broken from their chains...

Mitchell opens the doors, except Yeva isn't with him. He looks around and sees Ridley examining Nori's body.

Ridley: Chambers! Get over here!

Mitchell: Y-Yep, um...

He steps back, holding the door from being opened. Outside, Yeva tries to push the doors open with no luck.

Mitchell: So, I... couldn't find 48?

Ridley: Whatever!

Mitchell: R-Right. Uh... (He begins to slowly make his way towards her.) Here I... come...

As he walks, he notices a trail of blood on the floor. He looks in the shadows. It's the bishop. Before Mitchell could react. the bishop is dragged by the AbsoluteSolver into a large hole leading underground. At that moment, the computers all glow red as the cathedral starts to quake and fall apart. Mitchell grabs the crucifix and rushes to avoid being crushed. He looks forward. Nori, under the control of the AbsoluteSolver, rises up from the abyss. She advances towards him.

AbsoluteSolver: Thanks for the new host... intern.

She summons the crucifix her way...

AbsoluteSolver: MacGuffin.

...And flings it back at Mitchell, presumably killing him.

Static plays on a screen. The crucifix is hovered before the screen. A heart creature is sitting in front of the monitor, examining the crucifix, before it tosses it to the side. It clears items off the desk, save for a map. It examines it, and makes its way off the desk and onto the floor. It crawls away, bringing a hammer and a chest with it, and leaves the cathedral. It walks past a monitor displaying an elevator reaching a ground floor.

You, Uzi, N, and Tessa land out of the elevator and underground as the elevator is blocked by falling rocks. 

You start destroying and throwing rocks, hoping you could somehow save V.

Y/N: V! V!!! Can you hear me?!

N: (Battling the boulders) Uzi! Help! Use your Solver!

Tessa: Guys, watch it!

You turn around, seeing that you've unintentionally been tossing boulders at her and Uzi.

Uzi: (Panting and whimpering in fear) I... don't think I sh-should... I'm sorry, Y/N...

She is shown holding her hand over her eye, which has blood instead of oil coming out of it.

Y/N: Oh, no, no. It's okay. Uzi, I -- I am so sor- We shouldn't be forcing you to-

Tessa: (Brandishing her blade) Enough, Y/N! We'll save V after we finish here. (Sweetly) Uzi, let's have you sit this one out, eh? (pointing) Box over there. Robots like boxes, right?

Uzi: What? No, I-

Tessa:(Sternly) Y/N.

You look conflicted before turning to Uzi.

Y/N: Uzi, I really don't want to scare you, but there are some things down here you might not want to see. 

Uzi: (Gets up) ...Ohhhh, what the hell is going on?

Y/N: Nothing! We don't know everything yet, but... (Turns to face Tessa) We're not gonna hurt you. OK?

Uzi: ...Hurt me?

The shock suddenly activates her Solver. She attempts to contain it, but it blows up, causing the tunnel to collapse. You attempt to reach out to Uzi, but she backs away as all of you are separated by the falling boulders and debris, leaving Uzi and Tessa by themselves and you with N.

Back on the surface...

Thad: Aaand you won't tell me why we're wandering around 'cause...?

Lizzie: I'm a good friend, and secrets are blackmail. And it's not about football.

Thad: Okay. Does your secret friend want to know about football, or-

The ground trembles, sending the nearby car alarms to go off, and Lizzie and Thad to be lifted a little bit into the air. After a few seconds, they land back on the ground. They look over to see that Tessa's ship has made its way over and lands as J flies out and into the cave in front of them.

Thad: ...So, is that related to the thing you're looking fo--

Lizzie: No. (Laughs) Yeah, yeah. No, it is.

Meanwhile...

You are shown lying unconscious after the cave-in that Uzi caused. 

Your visor flashes this.

SYSTEM STATUS:
KNOCKED TF OUT...

GET UP, IDIOT. UZI NEEDS YOU.

SYSTEM STATUS:
REBOOTING

You wake up, seeing that your leg and N's arm have been pinned by boulders.

Y/N: N! Are you ok?!

N: I'm fine. But what about-

Y/N: Uzi! (calling out) UZI?!

You try to pull our leg free to no avail. You turn your hand into a katana and prepare to sever your leg in order to free yourself.

N: Y/N! Just stop and breathe for a second! 

Y/N: First, we're robots, we don't need to breathe. Second, Uzi needs us!

N: And Tessa...right?

You hesitate.

Y/N: Look, before I amputate myself, answer one question for me; do you really trust Tessa?

N: ...No. Do you?

Y/N: ...No. Something's off about her. I just get the feeling she's not the same person we once knew.

N: And...What do you want to do about it?

Y/N: (determined) We can figure that out after we find Uzi.

You brace yourself as you raise your katana arm.

N: I deserve this, I deserve this, I deserve this...!

Before you could proceed, you hear a faint giggle coming from the other end of the tunnel. You looks forward and sees someone waving at him... V?

Y/N: HOLY ROBO-SATAN! 

Cut to Uzi running. She stops to look at a sign on board.

After examining the board for a little bit, she continues to make her way into the shaft when she comes across some skeletons, one of which is holding a lantern. She takes the lantern, then runs in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile...

V?: I love you, Y/N.

You start pressing the katana down on your leg.

Y/N: T-Thank you, trauma and guilt induced hallucination! But I loved V, not you! Just stay right over there, please!

V?: You know, you're one of the main reasons (Her voice glitches.) I̶ ̵w̵a̸n̵t̵e̵d̵ ̵y̵o̶u̷r̵ ̴t̵e̷a̵m̷ ̴t̶o̴ ̴r̶e̵t̸a̸i̴n̶ ̸y̴o̴u̸r̴ ̶p̸e̴r̶s̵o̶n̵a̸l̵i̶t̷i̴e̸s̵.̸

You stop.

V?: Y̸o̸u̵ ̷a̸l̵w̴a̴y̷s̴ ̷s̸u̶r̶p̸r̷i̵s̵e̸d̷ ̷m̷e̶.̸

She makes the lantern above go out as she wraps a tentacle around your neck and pulls you closer, severing your leg that was pinned under the boulder.

N: Y/N!

Solver: Loved doing anything.

She embraces you and N

You suddenly find yourself in a vivid flashback, not in control of your own body. You're forced to watch as your body walks through a street on earth, humans screaming in pain and terror. 

You turn and see J and V feasting on corpses, acting more like starving animals than robots. N grabs a human by the throat and flies her into the air before dropping her to the ground. 

You watch as you raise your wing to protect J and V from incoming fire from a Helicopter. 

A squad of five soldiers rappel down in front of you and aim their guns.

Soldier 1: Target sighted!

Soldier 2: Kill it! 

Past you cackles maniacally as you turn one hand into a katana and another into a gun.

You slash at one of the soldier's legs, severing it above the ankle, before plunging the blade into his throat. 

You shoot Soldier 2's gun out of his hands before assaulting him within a barrage of high-caliber bullets, nearly tearing him apart. 

Lastly you activate your flamethrower and set the remaining soldiers ablaze.

You fly up to the helicopter and land on the nose. From the cockpit, the pilot pulls a gun. You dodge as she shoots, destroying the windshield, before jumping into the cockpit and tearing into her with your fangs.

Your visor suddenly flashes this message.

Back in reality. 

Solver: Thanks for clearing the way on this planet, too. Let's eat.

The Solver grabs onto N as well and drags the two of you further into the shaft.

Uzi has made her way to the abandoned cathedral.

Once inside, she looks around and flies to the top of the partially ruined chandelier. She stares down at the massive hole in the ground when something catches her attention. A techno song is playing on a monitor.

She makes her way over, stops the song, and sits down. A video is paused. She rewinds and hits play, not looking forward to what she might find.

Cut back to you and N being dragged by the Solver. 

Y/N: Ok, I've officially had enough of you at this point Cyn, Solver, whatever the hell you are!

You turn one of your arms into a gun and blindly fire into the darkness.

As the two of you are enter a hall made of flesh, a pickaxe is lunged at the Solver's arm, freeing N. The heart shows up.

Heart: Why is Cyn after her own murder-pets? You two stupid or something?

Y/N and N: No!/Yeah.

Heart: Cool by me, then. (The heart climbs on top of N's head.) Drive!

He runs off.

Y/N: So we're just trusting anything now?!

N: (off-screen) Better her than an eldritch abomination!

Y/N: (dodges tentacle) You've got a point!

You run off and catch up with N and the Heart.

Heart: Hey, you look familiar. Watch the road. You got wings?

N: Um-

Y/N: It's a tight space to use them.

Heart: Left!

The three of you hide in a crevice. 

Heart: (Hands you the crucifix) Think you can get this cross to the surface? I'm lookin' for a hunk named Khan.

Y/N: Khan? As in Khan Doorman? Uzi's dad?

You go silent as the Solver rushes past your hiding spot before the Heart turns and glares at you.

Heart: How do you know my daughter?

Back with Thad and Lizzie...

Thad: (looking where J went) So, how do we-

Lizzie: Punch.

Thad: Can't her hands be guns?

Lizzie: Kick, also.

Thad: (Chuckles sinisterly) Yeah.

They advance towards the cave entrance...

BOOM!

They get flung back by the explosion. J flies out and back into Tessa's ship, which takes off. The duo look back towards the cave entrance, which is now in flames. Lizzie snaps a picture on her phone. Suddenly...

Khan: (Arriving on scene) Part 2A, check the perimeter.

He hands Thad blueprints for Uzi's railgun, which is, quote, "sick af", "cool", and "doesn't suck".

Thad: M-Mr. Doorman, sir?

Khan: (Investigating) Bad crowd, those Murder Drones. Destroying ways off the planet... My wife... My daughter having interests beyond cannibalism and... "nightcore"?

A rumbling occurs, levitating the three up momentarily, then dropping them back down.

Khan: It's the end times! (Chuckles) If my wife's closet is right, the planet's gonna try to eat us soon.

Thad opens his mouth to speak, but Lizzie gestures for him not to.

Cut to Tessa searching the lockers, then reaches a computer. After performing an "I Am Not A Robot" test through a fingerprint, she is granted access to the database. She scrolls to the top, which shows Nori and Yeva as, respectively, "In Progress" and "Patch 2.1.8". She purges the program and walks off as the computer explodes. She turns back to view her handiwork as Doll arrives.

Doll: Где патч, человек? (Where's the patch, human?)

Tessa: Hmm. Not sure what you me- (Doll attacks her.)

Doll: USB Патч. Изгнать одержимость Сольвера. Где это? (The USB Patch. To exorcise the Solver's possession. Where is it?)

Tessa: (Resists Doll's attacks) So, that's what they were doing down here, huh? Crucifix-lookin' thing?

Doll: ...Разве ты не знаешь? (...Wouldn't you know?)

Tessa: Had my suspicions. But they kept cutting my feed.

Tessa slices Doll's right eye.

Tessa: Patch to save yourself, huh?

Doll: Я не позволю ему использовать меня, чтобы поглотить планету! (I will not let it use me to consume the planet!)

Tessa: Hmm. Not sure it needs you, buddy.

She tosses her cleaver at Doll, knocking the knife out of her hand, and vanishes.

Everything goes dark, illuminated only by a single red light due to Doll using her AbsoluteSolver. She looks around the empty shaft, seeing something rushing towards her... before suddenly stopping.

Suddenly, a small, yet rapid, tapping noise, while faint at first, starts growing louder as it gets closer. She lunges a boulder at it. This has no effect as the noise reveals itself, lunging at her.

Cut to a flashback continuing from the start of the episode.

AbsoluteSolver: Thanks for the new host... intern.

Nori, under the Solver's control, summons the crucifix her way and out of Mitchell's hands...

AbsoluteSolver: MacGuffin.

...And flings it back at Mitchell... Only it doesn't kill him, but merely shatters the glass on the front of his helmet. It turns out, Yeva halts the crucifix, reverses it, and flings back at Nori.

AbsoluteSolver: O-O-Ow. (Her voice begins to glitch out.) ₩Ⱨ₳₮ ł₦ ₮ⱧɆ ₴₵łɆ₦₵Ɇ...?

She yanks the crucifix out of her eye and flings it into the pit behind her as she falls to the floor. Mitchell signals a "Thank you" to Yeva and flees the scene.

Yeva reaches out towards Nori, but notices that the Solver is trying to regain control. Yeva slices the Solver off Nori and it falls into the pit.

Yeva helps Nori to her feet. Suddenly, a bright flash emits from the pit behind them...

(...Boom.)

Cut to Nori's heart, who had been narrating the events. 

Nori's Heart: Then, the planet kinda half-imploded anyway. The humans all... (Slice! Gag!) Woke up on the surface, brain scrambled enough to have a kid, and the rest is dumb, stupid history.

N claps at her dramatization of events before you elbow him.

Nori's Heart: Stop that. Now, the Solver's found its way back to finish the job. Who's its host?

Y/N: Um...Uzi? And a red-eyed drone named Doll that only speaks Russian for some reason.

Nori's Heart: Yeva's kid. Which one was just trying to eat us?

You and N look unsure of how to respond.

Cut back to Uzi.

She has just finished watching the tape on the monitor. She stands there, standing as still as a statue, her eyes replaced with the Solver symbol, as the screen displays static.

CRACK! The screen breaks as Uzi stumbles back and the lights go out. Hyperventilating, she takes off her choker/collar. 

Doll approaches her, profusely bleeding oil, getting to the point that she slips in it and falls to the ground. 

Uzi looks and sees that Doll's chest has been completely torn open, her visor displaying one final message; ДАЙ отпор (FIGHT BACK)

Tessa: Yikes. (Uzi turns to face her in the doorway.) Someone's been busy.

Back with the rest of you.

Nori's Heart: (Tosses the crucifix at you) Just hurry.

Y/N: Got it!

You and N start heading off.

Y/N: Uzi's gonna freak out when I tell her.

Nori's Heart stops you.

Nori's Heart: Tell her I'm alive, you die.

Y/N: Sorry, ma'am. I won't keep secrets from Uzi anymore... Even if you say it might hurt her.

Nori's Heart: Nuance alert. I caused every horror in her life. Destroyed the planet, got you things sicced here-

N: Gave her ungodly eldritch genetics!

Nori's Heart: No time. Promise.

Y/N: Fine. I promise. But you're gonna have to come clean with her someday. She deserves to know the truth, Nori.

Nori's Heart: Ugh. Bite me.

Tessa advances towards Uzi, menacingly dragging her sword across the ground.

Uzi: (Panting heavily) T-Tessa, I-I-I didn't- Sh-She just- Wait! Something else did this to Doll! You -- You have to believe...

In her panic, her solver activates and she grows her organic wings. 

Tessa knocks her to the ground and sadistically drags her sword across Uzi's wing.

Tessa: No worries. Makes my job easier.  Thought there'd be more of you silver freaks anyway.

She aims the tip of the blade at Uzi's chest and prepares to pound it in before you and N show up. You hold your katana arm to Tessa's throat. 

Y/N: You knew what was really going on, didn't you? One chance to tell the truth.

Tessa moves your blade away with her sword.

Tessa: (condescending) Cute. You know why I keep you boys around, Y/N? You think you're trying to do right by everyone, but the actuality is, you're just a loyal, little-

Without hesitation, you slice her neck.  She collapses on the ground as her helmet rolls away. N stands panting at what you've just done as Uzi pulls the blade out of her chest and grabs the crucifix you hold.

Y/N: (Comfortingly) Hey, buddy. Yeah, that should help. (You help Uzi up.) All I know is, I need you... to help figure things out... (You grab Uzi's hand.) together.

You help Uzi to her feet. But...

Uzi?: (Laughs maniacally)

She destroys the crucifix as you look on in horror.

Solver: (Giggles) That's really sweet, platonic friend.

 Solver: Too bad you've served your purpose. Don't worry. Your backups will forgive me.

She tosses you and N and pins you against a column.

Solver: Too bad you've served your purpose. Don't worry. Your backups will forgive me.

Before she could kill you, Nori's heart shows up and slices her blades off.

Solver: Nori? You're dead.

Heart: You're frickin' grounded!

Solver: Angry. (shows anime anger symbol)

A battle commences. The Solver launches claws as the heart as you and N escape. The pickaxe is thrown and lands in the Solver's face. N prepares to shoot, but hesitates, not wanting to harm his best friend. The Solver lunges forward and tosses N against a wall. 

You throws several punches that the solver blocks before kicking you in the chest and pinning you again. You turn your arm into a katana and hold to Uzi's throat before hesitating.

The Solver grins sadistically as if to say "Go ahead. I dare you." before forcing you to start dragging the blade across Uzi's throat. 

Suddenly, the heart slices the blades off and slaps the Solver across the face. Twice. The heart flings the Solver backwards, turns, and slaps N across the face. Also twice. The Solver regenerates her arms and hands and fires back at the heart and You. They evade the attacks and make their way over, slicing another one of her arms off. They fire at each other until the heart, swings the pickaxe in the Solver's direction. 

In the heat of the moment, You fly in front of the Solver/Uzi to stop the pickaxe from harming her. The pickaxe makes contact with you and you are thrown to the floor. The Solver picks up the heart and knocks it into a window. The Solver throws the pickaxe down, narrowly avoiding hitting you, and prepares to eat the heart...

Y/N: NORI! I should mention, Uzi and I, uh...

The Solver stops to stare down at you. You wrote something in oil.

Nori's Heart: Uzi Doorman. Those things killed your frickin' mother!

The heart slaps her so hard, they both get sent flying to the ground at top speed.

Solver: (Her voice glitches.) Ø₩! ł'₥ ₦Ø₮-

Uzi: (Her voice is back to normal.) Hey, lady! You don't frickin' own me!

You and N scream in horror as Uzi tosses the heart in the air and kicks it back down the pit.

Y/N: UZI!!!

Uzi: WHAT?! We did NOT discuss being gross and- (She shrieks in frustration.)

Y/N: THAT WAS YOUR MOM!!!!

Uzi: What?!

Y/N: I know! 

You both shriek in terror... and run into each other's arms. Tears stream down Uzi's face as you rub the back of her head in comfort. This can all be seen in the reflection on Tessa's helmet as it rolls into the pit.

...Until a foot stops it in place, picks it back up, and puts it back on their head. They make their way over to the duo, removing their armor, and setting the helmet on top of it. It drags Doll's body away as you and Uzi break from their embrace. After munching on the corpse...

It turns around and we see Tessa's face for the first time, showing that the Solver killed her as well when she was a child and has been wearing her skin.

You, N, and Uzi stare in horror.

Solver: (Laughs) Oh, yes. Get snuck-up on. (Her voice glitches as she makes her way over to you..) ₦Ɇ₵₭ ฿ł₮Ɇ.

(The Solver bites you on the neck, tearing a good bit of metal off, before it pins N and bites him before grabbing Uzi.

Solver: Stab.

She lifts the three of you into the air.

Solver: It's been fun. And, also, that's sarcasm. Honestly, I'm starving.

She drops you and falls down the pit. Suddenly, a bright light flashes as tentacles emerge from below, setting off alarms. The light shoot up into the sky, clearing away some clouds.

Meanwhile's Tessa's ship lands and J exits.

J: Ride's good to go, boss. Just say...

A rapidly approaching school bus knocks her back, sending the keys to the ship falling below. J picks herself up.

J: (Pointing her weapon) Who are you idiots?

A cloud of smoke show the silhouettes of Lizzie and Thad. Lizzie is propping herself up on Uzi's railgun which J's eye labels "Prior Hazard".

Three tentacles emerge from the pit and proceed to drag You, Uzi and N down. 

Uzi knocks the two of you closer to a ledge to you can support yourselves as she gets dragged further down.

Uzi: (Grunts) Hey. Thanks for, like... (She sees the keys fall from above and into the pit.) Everything.

Y/N: Uzi, don't you dare!

Uzi leans in and gently kisses you before tossing you and N back above and frees you using her AbsoluteSolver.

Uzi's visor: DIE MAD

Using her AbsoluteSolver, she tosses you and N out of the cathedral as she lets the tentacles drag her into the dark pit below. She descends for a little while...

...And finds herself floating in a void. Before her lies a large, orange light.

The inner core of Copper 9.

Credits roll. No outro music. Just a ghostly silence.
