As the group was digging through the office like miners, two other drones were walking through the frigid night air as they approached the spire home of N, V, Doll, and Uzi.

"Tell me again, why are we here?" Thad asked.

"I got a text from V." Lizzy said.

"And?" Thad asked.

"She wanted me to make sure nothing happened. Says someone from her past suddenly appeared and she's kind of freaking out." Lizzy said, pulling out her phone and showing Thad the text.

"It's been a crazy few weeks, hasn't it?" Thad asked, walking into the spire.

Inside was several drone parts. Some of which were fresh. There was even a note on one of the full bodies.

'Stop touching my food, V!'- Uzi

"Yep and Uzi has gone full native. Not surprising." Lizzy said as she texted V, telling her they were here.

"So, what are we going to do, exactly?" Thad asked.

Lizzy was about to answer before hearing the air being cut from above, making her look up to the hole in the spire.

"We need to hide." Lizzy quickly said.

"What? Why? It's probably-" Thad was suddenly dragged behind a turned over car and had his mouth covered.

"That's not V, N, or Uzi." Lizzy whispered.

"Mmm?" Thad hummed before removing her hand. "It's not? But ma-maybe whoever it is is friendly?"

THUD!

J lands with a loud thud as she looks around the spire, seeing it was just like she remembered it.

"Work home, sweet work home." J said as she notice one of Uzi's labeled food limbs. "Ugh, so the thief moved in! Just great! A moocher!"

"I don't think she is." Lizzy whispered.

The two workers looked over the car slowly as J went into the space pod.

"What do you think she's doing in there?" Thad whispered.

"Something not good." Lizzy softly replied.

J, unaware of them, kept doing what she was told to by Tessa.

"Alright, let's see if this still works." J said, using the keys Tessa gave her to turn on the pod.

Placing the key in an old ignition and turning to start it like a car as the screens and keyboard light up.

"Excellent." J said as she began typing on the keyboard.

Completely of Lizzy using her phone to zoom into the pod, seeing J typing away.

'What is she doing?' Lizzy thought.

"Hey, let's try to get closer." Thad whispered.

"WHAT?!" Lizzy whisepr-yelled at Thad, turning to him. "Are you crazy!?"

"What other choice to do we have? What she could be doing could be really bad!" Thad whispered as he looked around, finding an old and jagged rebar pole on the ground. "This can work as a weapon."

Thad picked it up slowly as Lizzy quickly texts V the situation.

'Big trouble at Spire! Please reply fast, V!' She thought.

Sadly and unaware, V had no service in the building she was in.

"There. Clock is set for 60 seconds, plenty of time." J said with a grin. "Now to hurry back to boss. She's probably down with them by now."

Leaving the pod and walking to the exit, J began to leave... ... ... ...only to get hit by a bus that crashed into the spire!

"AAAAH!" J screamed as she was sent flying into the far wall!

Thad and Lizzy stared in surprise of the living vehicle as the doors opened. And to their further surprise, Khan Doorman opened the door.

"Did I get her?!" Khan asked, looking for J.

"Mr. Doorman?!" Lizzy shouted in shock.

"That was AWESOME!" Thad shouted with a smile.

"Thanks, but there's no time to talk." Khan said, walking out of the bus, "If my wife's closet is right, then the world is going to eat us."

"... ... ... ... ...I'm sorry but what did you say?" Lizzy asked as Khan began walking around, gathering parts.

"I said the planet is going to eat all of us soon. I am trying to stop it." Khan said, picking up something. "Never thought that what she'd say would come true, but here we are."

"And you're here to try and stop it, how?" Thad asked.

"By believing in my daughter." Khan said as he pulled out Uzi's schematics for her railgun. "I know you brought her the original, Thad. So I'm going to make a second one."

"Is it possible she left her's here? I mean this is her place." Lizzy said, gesturing to the spire.

"Best not to look for it, we may not have the time." Khan said.

"Especially with a pissed off murder drone closeby!" J shouted at them.

"Oh shit." Lizzy said, having forgotten about J.

The trio turned to see J recovered from the hit and glared at them with her hands as claws. She was in such a good mood before the bus crashed into her and she as going to make Khan pay for it.

"I have spent TOO long... trying to uphold my end of the deal... and I will NOT let you ruin it!" J yelled, forcing herself out of the wall!

'Deal?' The trio thought before J jumped at them.

"RAAAAAAH!" J screamed in rage.

"AAAAAH!/SPORTS!" The trio screamed while Thad moved on instinct and threw the rebar like a javelin!

Surprisingly, he managed to hit her! Impaling J right through the chest as she was sent tumbling back and crashing into the wall AGAIN!

"UGH! What the hell?!" J said as oil spilled out of her mouth.

"...WOOOOO!" Thad cheered with his hands in the air as Khan and Lizzy stared at him in awe. "Yeah, baby! Who's da man?!"

"Yeah! Da deadman!" She shouted, grabbing the rebad and slowly pulling it out.

Tossing it aside, J switched to her machine gun and started firing.

"Get in!" Khan said as he pulled Lizzy and into the bus as it quickly backed out of the spire to not be shot before driving away!

"Any other plans, "Da Man?"" Lizzy sarcastically asked Thad.

"... ... ...No." Thad let out with a slump.

"Then we'll go with my plan and make a second railgun." Khan said, looking over Uzi's blueprints.

"Or maybe go back for the one Uzi most likely left in the spire." Lizzy said blankly.

"How about we start by getting the crazy murder not away from us?" Thad asked, seeing J running towards them.

"YOU THINK YOU CAN ESCAPE FROM ME IN A SHITTY BUS?!" J shouted, running as fast as she could and gaining on the bus!

"That's terrifying." Lizzy said, staring at J as she chased them. "... And kinda hot."

"Seriously?" Thad asked before noticing J's legs, shapely and strong. "Nevermind, I get it."

"Ugh, kids these days." Khan said, shaking his head.

Looking around the bus, Khan found the tool used to change tires before walking to the back door.

"What are you going to do?" Thad asked.

"I'm going to throw this in her face." Khan said simply, opening the back emergency exit of the bus before throwing the tool with all his might.

Seeing this, J dodged to the side as the tool hit the ground!

"HA!" She let out as she looked back and was hit in the face with a wrench?!

'There goes my lucky wrench.' Khan thought as J stumbled and face planted to the ground.

Allowing the three of them to escape safely.

'Fuck! They got away!' J thought as she got up. 'But it doesn't matter, I did what I needed to do. The countdown should be finished right about..'

Back in the spire, the screens in the pod were operational and counting down from 60 seconds since J was knocked into the side wall but now, it has reached its final numbers.

10... ... ... 9... ... ... 8... ... ... 7... ... ... 6... ... ... 5... ... ... 4... ... ... 3... ... ... 2... ... ... 1... ... ...0.

The pod was ready.

BOOOOOOOOM!

The bus came to a halt, making the trio glance into the distance and see a black smoke stack rising into the air.

'The Spire!' They all thought before seeing J flying away.

"What did she do?!" Thad shouted.

"Why did she do that?!" Lizzy shouted.

"Wait! Uzi's railgun! It was inside the pod, maybe that was her target!" Thad said, pointing at Lizzy.

"That explosion was bigger than that! It could've been the pod itself!" Khan said as he made the bus turn around and rush back to the spire.

The trip back was quiet but they were all worried about the aftermath of the sudden explosion.

'What if it released some kind of chemical in the air?' Khan thought.

Just imagining it made Khan shiver in fear, the nanite acid that all murder drones have becoming air born and eating away at everything robotic in sight! But he had to push that aside, because this real situation more was important than an imaginary situation.

Once the bus arrived back at the Spire, Khan was the first to rush out and look around. Seeing the pod was completely destroyed!

"Damn, so she did destroy the pod!" Thad said.

"Why did she do that?" Lizzy asked.

"Yeah, that thing was basically busted. Why destroy it if it can't even fly?" Thad asked, scratching his head.

"Probably to make it so the other drones have no home to return to when the sun comes up." Khan said, going back to gathering parts.

Regardless of the outcome, Khan was still determined to make a new railgun. Regardless if the old one was most likely destroyed or not.

'This time, I'm not going to run away. This time, I am going to fight for my daughter!' Khan thought with a spark in his eyes!

He pulled out the blueprint again and opened it. Looking it over closely while Thad and Lizzy leaned over his shoulders.

"Do you need any help, Mr. Doorman?" He asked.

"Yeah, I might not be a straight A student but I know enough." Lizzy said with a shrug.

"Find whatever parts you see could be useful." Khan said to them.

"Anything specific?" Thad asked.

"Metal and a glowing green power core." Khan said.

"Alright." Lizzy said, going to look.

"I'll start with the smoldering car remains." Thad said, pointing to the car.

Khan hoped everything would go well. If not, then they were all doomed.
