(At the golden city planet of Mekkai, a Star Chariot flies toward the planet, followed by the Lor Starcutter and two more Chariots. The ships skim across the surface of the city landscape. The sun glints off the chrome hulls of the sleek spacecraft made by the Ancients as they navigate between the buildings of the capital planet. Two Star Chariots land on one leaf of a three-leaf-clover landing platform. The Lor Starcutter lands on the central lead, and the third Star Chariot lands on the remaining platform. A small entourage group wait to welcome Susie. One of the members of the group is a well-dressed Palpitoad, a member of the Multiversal Representative Commission, and Cynthia, Erika's handmaiden. One of the escort pilots jumps from the wing of his ship and removes his helmet. He is Miles Edgeworth, Erika's Security Officer. He moves over to a female pilot.)

Miles Edgeworth: We made it. I guess I was wrong, there was no danger at all.

(The ramp lowers. Two Floralia Guards appear. Susie, Flamberge and four troopers descend the ramp. Susie is more beautiful now than she was ten years earlier when, as Queen, she was freeing her people from the yoke of Robotnik Industries. The entourage starts to move forward. Susie reaches the foot of the ramp, when suddenly there is a blinding flash and a huge explosion. The entourage and pilots are hurled to the ground as the starship is destroyed. Klaxons blare and alarms sound! Miles Edgeworth and the two escort pilots get up and run to where Susie lies dying. Beyond, Viger drops down from the Floralia Fighter and hovers toward the wreckage. The female escort pilot kneels by Erika and takes off her helmet, revealing herself to Erika.)

Erika: Jasmine...

(Erika gathers up her decoy double in her arms. Jasmine's eyes are open. She looks up at her.)

Jasmine: ... I'm sorry, m'lady... I'm... not sure I...

(Jasmine dies. Erika hugs her.)

Erika: No!... No!... No!...

(Erika lowers Jasmine to the ground. She gets up and looks around at the devastation. There are tears in her eyes.)

Erika: I should not have come back.

Miles Edgeworth: M'Lady, you are still in danger.

(Erika says nothing.)

Miles Edgeworth: This vote is very important. You did your duty and Jasmine did hers. Now come.

(Erika doesn't respond.)

Miles Edgeworth: M'Lady, please!

(She turns. They walk away. Viger lets out a silent prayer and hovers off after them.)
