The medics rushed Councilwoman Marcia and Elder Brendon into the medical room at Antonio's house. Apollo started working on Brandon. "Shit, his heart was nicked. We are going to have to do surgery to try get these bleeders stopped before he bleeds to death."

One of the doctor's calls out, "switch places, I am in my third year of residency in the heart specialist at John Hopkins." He switches places with Dr Apollo.

He then ask, "anyone knows his history his health history?"

One of the medics run out, "I will get Elder Barrett."

Elder Barrett walks in and says, "you want his health history. He is one of those wolves who rarely was sick. Even though he officially retired he has still been teaching combat training to the elders plus self defense to the ones who were too young to do regular training. I linked with mom and she said he is allergic to sulfa drugs. He found that out when attack a few years back and needed antibiotics from an infection that set in.

"Get an IV into him and put .5cc of wolfsbane and .25cc silver in it."

Barrett growls, "you trying to kill him with that combo."

"No, it will slow down the blood flow, but not strong enough dose to kill him. Use the same in her to the council woman but with her being smaller cut her dose by 1/4 and it will slow down the blood flow while trying to control the bleeding."  He then concentrates on his surgery.

Garrett and Jarrett take Meri into a room to talk while their grandfather is undergoing surgery.

Garrett says, "Meri we do care for you. We know you care for us. Your starting to show your Luna glow. If you want to talk about what happened..."

Meri interrupts, "at this time I don't want to talk about what happened." She would not look them in the eyes. "When the council meets to confirm what councilwoman Marcia declared I will then give a full account."

Jarrett replies, "Meri do you know what happened the council has declared that tomorrow will be the hearing. Councilman Bingham has already declared himself as acting Council Leader since Councilwoman Marcia is in surgery. If found guilty the sentence will be carried out immediately.

Garrett adds, "Then the next day we will all meet at Memorial Lake. The girls were made to bring it back. We will do the memorial to those who lost their lives. Family and friends are preparing their bodies now. We loss 23 wolves today. We have 5 here fighting for their lives including grandfather.

Jarrett adds, "The Wilson brothers and a few other carpenters from other packs are right now building a memorial ship to hold them all."

Garrett says, "but why we wanted to talk to you is to apologize to you."

Meri exclaims, "Apologize for what?"

Jarrett replies, "When we met you at the tree hideout and realized you were in heat. We should of ran back outside and stood guard. We are alphas and a have been trained to do just that, but when it was you we had no control." Garrett replied.

Jarrett adds, "We had never felt such a pull before. Not even with our other mates.  I all the sudden craved control and my wolf took it. We took advantage of you. We need to apologize and hope you forgive us. Hope you don't compare us to them."

"We very much care for you.  We feel we let you down by taking you before you were our official mate. When we felt the second pull we left as instructed and our biggest regret was leaving. If we had stayed..."

"You both would be dead. None of us acted like ourselves. I am not ashamed of what happened between us.  It was you I would think of and want when trying to forget who was raping me." Then Meri's voice dropped into a whisper, "Question will be will you want me after you hear what happened." Then a lone tear trailed down her face.

They pulled her in their arms and held her tight. "We are going to officially approach the council about us making you ours before the raffle and mate games resume. We had already told Councilwoman Marcia about withdrawn our names. She said she wasn't surprise she could see a bond forming," Garrett says.

Jarrett adds, "yes, you are ours. Maybe it is because you are our third mate and we have had multiple mates we did not need that strong- slam- bam-wham mating bond, but this slow getting to know you type of bond. " he pauses to think, "what was that word you used," he pauses again as if in thought and shouts out, "COURTING. Yes we needed a courting."

Garrett says, "if you need time we will give you the time you need to adjust to what happened to you. but nothing you share will drive us away."

Jarrett replies, "we have to confess when you went missing we search your old room, and found the diary about your dream wedding when you were a little girl. Even though we said we did not want another wedding, we discovered with you we wanted the biggest wedding ever. We want to make your childhood dream wedding a reality. We gave your diary to Claire and told her make this happen. But we will take place once you are ready. You are our Luna no matter what."

"Garrett says, "I never said this to my first or second mate, but I just realized I love you."

"Yes, love you to the moon and back. We will be with you no matter what."

Knock knock knock, "Alphas, your dad wants you ASAP."

We all stand up and head to the door, we are holding hands. Just as we walk into the room where everyone is waiting  Meri says, "yes, I love you too. I too will ask that my name be withdrawn from the raffle and become your mate."

Everyone turns and looks at the twins to see their reply when a voice is cleared, and everyone turns back toward the doctor. "Congratulations Alphas and Luna. I am happy to announce that all five of the patients made it through their surgery.  They are all in recovery.

I ordered two special herbs. When the red clover leaves and Echinacea flowers arrive they will be crushed and mixed and made into capsules. The patients will be given these herbs. One herb is a blood thinner and the other will detox the blood. These two herbs combine will remove the wolfsbane and silver from their body's safely.

Doctor Apollo walks into the room, "we did not get a chance to introduce each other, "I am Dr Apollo and I would love to know where you learned that. I honestly thought that we would be adding added 3 more wolves to the memorial if not for you today."

"I am Dr. Sebastian, I grew up in the Canadian Rockies. My Grammie taught me about natural herbs. I learned what helped helped wolves, humans, vampires, fairies, etc. However, I could not save my sister who was born pre-mature and had a heart defect. That is why I went into medicine after I graduated high school at age 17, I did 7 years at University of Calgary graduated with a degree as a license  Veterinarian to help our wolf side. Then came to the states and attended 3 years at our wolf university where I studied wearwolf analysts under Dean Schultz. I then spent 3 years studying surgery with a residency in heart specialty. I graduate in 2 months and then will go back to my pack. Two months ago my pack was attacked. We now only have 17 members left. Thankfully, I was on my way home and brought about a dozen friends with me during spring break. We were able to defeat and kill those rogues but lost about half our members. My pack is right now  living in dorm rooms at Wolf University until I graduate.

I did bring my pack with me when I came here to the mating games to find my Luna. I did find her.  She too is a doctor, but in GYN. My mate and I have decided after I graduate we are going to look to relocate my pack by the wearwolf university and open up a hospital for our kind. Plus do more studies on our kind. Enough about me, I am going to go round and check all the patients before turning in for the night. Good night." He then turns and leaves.

Dr Apollo says, "Alpha Conrad can you verify his story? Now gotta go, just was message that the items arrived and going to go make those detox pills. If they work as good as Dr Sebastian states we will be able to transfer everyone back to our pack territory tomorrow.

"Alpha Issac, I know our patients will not be happy but can you send someone to pick up 15 medical scooters for the patients."

"I will make sure it gets done. Just let me know where to send them. Now give me the totals

He then turns to Meri. "You are the only one we need to find out if pregnant. Go to the labs and give blood and urine.  Then go get an ultrasound done afterwards."

She looks to Garrett and Jarrett, "will you come with me?"

"If you allow us we will not leave your side at all for a while."

She snuggles next to both of them. "Let us go get the test done."

They get to the lab and make Garrett and Jarrett wait in the waiting room while they bring Meri back. Nurse Mia comes out, "I need one of you to go give some blood since you're identical it won't have to be both of you."

"Why?"

"If she is pregnant we can determine if your the father. We already got blood from all the others."

"You will be able to tell this early?"

"We are werewolves and not humans or fairies. If she is pregnant we can stick each fetus with a needle. During the ultrasound."

"You said each fetus. Are you expecting more than one?"

"Yes, those pills that Antonio was giving out seems to cause multiples to happen. Everyone of the pups born were multiples and each expectant mom has multiples.  It's like he was trying to increase the werewolf populations on his own. Yes, we expect her to show multiples. Especially since she already had one set."

Jarret ask, "will it hurt the pups?"

"No. Just the stick without drawing any fluids out can tell with werewolves 97.8% accuracy whose DNA the baby has.  We also can determine if male or female. With it just being a stick it does not endanger her pup at all as long as she is in her wolf form. However, we will sedate her since she fights needles and each pup will need stuck."

"Nurse Mia?"

"Yes?"

"We have wondered why she has not asked about her pups?"

"She is a mom and knows they are ok. However, she right now feels tainted and dirty because of the rape. Which is what Dr Jan will help her with. Once she starts to feel like a mom again she will want to be with her pups. Until then she knows Sarah and their grandmothers will keep them safe. She has to feel clean and loved for that to happen. She took a big step acknowledging her feelings toward you, but we got to make sure she doesn't turn you into a crutch. Once again that will be Dr Jan's job. Now which one comes with me?"

Garrett says, "ROCK, PAPER, SCISSOR, NOW!"
Garrett threw rock and Jarrett three scissors."

Garrett yells, "I win. rock breaks scissors. I stay here and guard Mia's door, and you follow Nurse Mia"

Jarrett follow Nurse Mia and enters door two.  he sees Meri sitting in the room. Mia said, "Did not tell you we were going into the same room. Now Meri hold Jarrett's hand. Look him in the eyes and count to 10 slowly."

Meri replies, "1,2,3,4,5,.."

"All done. See I learned how to distract you. Now let's go back to the waiting room and get Garrett. We are going to do your ultrasound." 

Meri leans forward and kisses Jarrett's cheek, "Thank you for coming back here with me." She did not even realize they took some of Jarrett's blood.

Then they walk into the waiting room to see a pacing Garrett. When he sees her he ask, "so are we pregnant?"

Mia laughs, "they are still testing, and the ultrasound will tell us before the labs are done. We just need labs for the council meeting verification." She leads them into another room.

Nurse Mia says, "for this ultrasound to get a more accurate reading we will need for you to transform to your wolf.  We also will need to sedate you during this just in case your pregnant and we have to do a paternity test. We are going to let Jarrett and Garrett hold your paw during this time." Then a female comes in, "hello, I am doctor Margie. I heard you met my mate, Sebastian. Now let us get you sedated and check you out. Do you want us to stay or leave while you're transform?"

Meri was still wearing her dad's shirt so just transforms and jumps on the table.  Nurse Mia places a mask over her face and Meri is soon fast asleep.  Doc Margie looks at the ultrasound and, "she is having multiples.  Jarrett and Garrett can you please step out while I prepare to stick her with needles. I do not feel like fighting two of you ever time I have to stick her with a needle." They grumble and leave, "as soon as the door closes, we are going to need a munch more of these needles and DNA test tubes. I would like my Sebastian, Apollo and Tony in here STAT."

"How many more DNA test packages do you need?

Maggie said, "more that double that is here."

Mia looks stunned, "but that means she pregnant with at least..."her voice fades in shock."

"Exactly, now get them the other doctors. I want them to help me confirm these numbers."

She leaves the room gets the doctor. The three doctors walked in and Mia came in with an unopened box. She looks at the doctors and said, "one moment. Let me finish numbering." She concentrates a few more minutes. "Ok I think I
Am done." She then turns the machine around and their faces drop in shock.

Doctor Apollo, "how will she be able to carry these pups. The most I have personally ever seen was 4 pups."

Doctor Tony, "Mia and I once delivered 5 pups."

Doctor Sebastian says, "I have only been present for twin pups."

Doctor Margie, "I have delivered three sets of quadruplets before. I been reading ancient books. It use to be before we started trying to blend in with humans that we delivered in wolf form. From the old ways the she-wolf could transform for the first 6 weeks. Transforming after the 6 week lead to high miscarriages. Since they wanted to blend in they stayed in human forms. It was when they started staying in human forms that fewer pups were born. The human form had trouble carrying liters. We seemed to drop to mostly single births. "

Doctor Tony said, "Are you saying ancient times our ancestors stayed in wolf forms, but were the pups actual pups or were they born human?"

Margie said, "they were born as pups and the alpha would command them to shift. It is believed that the original rogues who did not have alphas would stay in wolf forms. That we are distant relatives to the non-shifting wolf's. Every now and then we will find human children growing up with wolves. They were born and for some reason shifted.  The newborn pups who were guided by the alphas shifted to humans form and did not go back to wolf form until they came of age. Now we better get busy doing these DNA test. I will collect the samples.

Sebastion said, "I need to go finish making and giving out the capsules to our patients we gave wolfsbane and silver too. I will return here when done."

Apollo says yes tomorrow will be a busy day announcing whom the pup's daddy's are.
