Prologue

Y/N's POV

What is the right way to explain my creation to a mortal?

Nothing created me.

I made myself.

But humans cannot fathom something made from nothing. Something must cause it, but not with me.

I made myself from the vastness of nothing, just as gods of old mythology have been told to come into existence. I became myself in this Void, a place of darkness that I took as my own.

Immediately, I identified with it. It felt like home. It felt like me.

I became the Void, and the Void became me.

Study and understand this concept, you will need it.

The Void was ever-expanding, but also confined at the same time.

There was nothing for the Void to expand into, so it merely existed as this mass of energy floating about on the verge of non-existence.

It had no place, therefore it could not exist.

My first mission was apparent.

Find a place for the Void to reside within.

I concentrated the Void's power to find a place, any place, in which I could plant roots and make my own. Many worlds flashed before my eyes, but one such world caught my eye.

The world of Sonic the Hedgehog. Its bright colors and simple complexion interested me.

When I investigated further, I found that each zone within this world charmed me. I saw how I could improve it, master it, control it. Yes, this was the one.

With effort, I was able to enter the world, but something was off.

When I tried to interact with my surroundings, my hands went straight through it. When I looked at the world's inhabitants, however, they could easily brush past a flower or land their feet on soft grass. Clearly, I had much to learn, but in my youth, I was eager and hungry for knowledge.

I studied the inhabitants, learned their names in their language, and explored every zone to the very last inch. With every new discovery, I felt closer and closer to meeting my goal.

One of these discoveries was actually a moment of self-discovery. The reason why the natives could interact with their surroundings was because they had physicality. They had
form. I, who was made of complete energy at the time, had no form. I needed physicality.

I needed a body to withdraw into, just like how the Void needs a place to hold its existence.

I needed a vessel. I first tried making my
own. and I did so by condensing the Void's energy into a state where it became solid, and it worked. somewhat. The vessel turned out goo-like, and I was dissatisfied. No, no, this isn't how I want to look. I remember thinking to myself.

I want to look like that hedgehog creature. And that's when it hit me.

I want to be like that hedgehog... never mind making a vessel, I can become the hedgehog!

I had envied him since the day I first saw him, and I enjoyed him the most.

He was so quick and confident in his own strength, which I knew to be very little compared to the obstacles he faced.

It was not his brute strength, but his skill that got him through his life. No matter what this strange human creature threw at him, he was able to take it down, even if it meant scraping past by the tips of his dashing blue quills. I had often imagined myself in his place, doing what he was doing in my own way. I no longer had to imagine: the power had been mine all along. I can become the thing I so ardently desired!

Using my crudely made vessel, I set up a trap to catch the hedgehog before he knew what would hit him. I believe it was called a tripwire trap, but it involved the hedgehog triggering a string, which would cause a pit to be revealed.

This worked and when the hedgehog fell down into the tunnel I had dug, I seized complete control of his vessel. Finally, after all this time, I had a physical manifestation in this world, and with it, I discovered that I had powers beyond what I had ever imagined. I still held my ability to fly and to become invisible to the naked eye. I also retained my teleportation and my ability to see the soul energy of others. What astonished me the most, however, was the ability to change living matter around myself, and anything I changed, I had full control of. The world I had chosen was malleable, like clay on a potter's wheel. Upon discovering this, I set off and began making the world my own.

I look back upon these days with fondness. I was at the prime of my life here, discovering myself and who I wanted to be, and I chose to be the ultimate force of this world: the controller.

the manipulator, the God. The inhabitants had watched previously had become my everyday playthings, and what used to be a world that was alien to me was now my own. Those flowers that charmed me now had eyes in the middle of their wilting petals, and some even have mouths that snap at unsuspecting victims. The palm trees now grow coconuts with chattering teeth, and the zone formerly known as the Marble Zone now housed a temple that I constructed myself.

Within its walls are statues of myself that line in the walls, twisting halls that anyone can get lost in, and likenesses of myself in every nook and cranny of the magnificent structure. Oh yes, I was happy, but as time went on. I grew bored of the same old game. Tails, Knuckles, Robotnick. Those were the three that I had kept alive. I would torture them day in and day out. Each one posed their own problems, and each one had their own weaknesses. Once I got bored of one, I moved on to the next.

This worked for a long time, but all three of them failed to give me enjoyment at the end of the day. I remember sitting on my throne, rubbing my forehead as I contemplated what to do. I had done everything I could in this world. I exhausted all forms of entertainment or discoveries.

Should I move on? No, I've done too much to leave this world behind. I was proud of my creations, of everything I had made. Surely there was a way to keep this world but rope in more beings. For the sake of trying, I attempted viewing
worlds once more like I had done in days long past.

When I attempted this, I was only shown one world, What I saw was a face... a face of a human, looking at a screen. In the reflection of their glasses, I saw... my world.

They were looking at it through a screen!

My world was nothing, but a little game for this human to play!

Though a bit of rage sparked in me, I was also hit with an incredible idea, one that would make me go down in history. I'm going to take this human into my world and see how they feel about this little game of mine becoming reality.

I already had experience with grabbing souls, for that is how I would resurrect my victims.

All I had to do was reach beyond the screen that separated us, grab their soul, and pull it back with such force that the soul gets transported into my plane of existence. I had no doubts in myself. I thought myself a God, so why couldn't I pull off a stunt as ambitious as this?

The next time this human came to their computer, I took them completely by surprise. I thrust my hand through the screen, grabbing their soul with all the strength I had, and pulled them back into my world as quickly as I had come through however, something went wrong. The human's soul fizzled out and died in my hands within moments. No, no, that's not right. My curiosity from my youth came back to me, filling my thoughts.

Experiments must be held, work must be done. I had to figure out why this phenomenon happened and how I can preserve a human soul within the digital world. I worked diligently, studying the nature of souls as I knew them and experimenting with them.

What if there were two souls in one body?

One soul between two?

One thing was for certain.

Souls need vessels just like I do, but human souls from beyond the screen worked differently than the ones in digital space. The vessel they carry cannot be taken into the digital world, so they must acquire a new one.

Bonding a soul from beyond the screen works differently as well, and requires a framework in order to complete the process.

You may know this framework as a save file.

After perfecting my technique on lesser beings, I finally began my experiments on my three victims.

My first choice was Knuckles. I knew his vessel to be strong and robust, so it had a good power tolerance for souls. When I set him in the save file and used the bonding ritual.

However...

Knuckles was contorted and twisted beyond repair. His lifeless corpse fell to the ground, and when I tried to fix him up again, it was to no avail.

Too bad. I thought again about my theories.

How was I wrong?

No matter, the vessel must need to be strong in the mind. I used Robotnick next. but when he went through the ritual, he was also horribly twisted and subject to permanent death.

What was going on?!

What was I doing wrong?!

I only had one more vessel left, and he is the least capable of them all.

The pathetic Tails the Fox.

Clearly more research had to be done, but couldn't afford to make any more mistakes. With my next victim, who I came to know as Renè, I studied him well: Every choice, every comment he made that he thought I couldn't hear, and even the files that cluttered his computer.

By the end of Renè's journey through my world, I realized my mistake. The soul must fit the character of the vessel, and Renè had proven more than worthy to be with the vessel of Tails. Everything came together in the end, which only made me smile more as I prepared the stage for the bonding ritual.

With the save file ready and marked for Renè, I reached out beyond the screen, grabbed Renè's soul, and pulled it into the digital world.

Within the blink of an eye, I thrust the soul into the save file, where the soul was then processed into Tails's body.

This time, there was no mutation, no sudden asphyxiation, no mistake!

I had done it!

I was the first to bring a human from beyond the screen into the digital world successfully!

Renè entertained me for a very long time. We'd go up and around. running this way and that, and every time he posed something new for me. What fun! What a sensation! We would play for what felt like an eternity.

Never again would I suffer from boredom!

As time wore on, my vessel began to wither. I kept it alive by using the living material from the small animals that populate the world, but
even with my constant repairs, my appearance changed.

My quills darkened and faded, my skin saturated in color, and my feet grew far too large for any old shoe. My size also grew thanks to my constant eating habits, but it benefited me more than it hindered me. What I didn't know was my powers were also weakening, but it was in very small increments. This small detail would end up being my downfall.

It was like any other day in Horror Hills.. I was walking through my zone, admiring my work, when I felt the presence of a new entity enter my world. I could sense this being's power from miles away.

Who dares enter my world and insult me with their presence that rivaled my own?

When I went to investigate, I saw a blue hedgehog with blackened eyes and red pupils. Was this a creature similar to myself?

Whatever the case, I didn't want him here. This is my world, not theirs to take. I would come to know this intruder as Xenophanes, and he is known to humans as Sonic.EXE. He goes about to different instances of Sonic worlds and torments their inhabitants, leaving nothing but a wake of destruction behind himself. The worlds he ravages are nothing, but wastelands, and he intended to do the same with mine. I, however, would not stand for it. We got into a heated fight, both of us laying down all of our power in order to prove who was worthy of ruling this land. It was only when his crystals grew out of his spines did he manage to beat me, and when he gave me the X scar I am so well known for. He would continue to brag about that scar for the rest of the time I knew him, and its presence will hang over my head to this very day.

Before he killed me off, I begged and pleaded to be spared. I offered my entire zone in order for him to spare my life, and, surprisingly, he did. He made a show of his domination, destroying everything I had made right before my eyes. My temple was blown to smithereens, my plants were uprooted, and littered all over the zones, and anything I wanted to keep had to be stored underground where he could not find them. I lost nearly everything I had ever done to Xenophanes alone.

All I had left was a small patch of Horror Hills, which is a pittance compared to what I had previously had, but Xenophanes was not finished. He made my world into his own, calling it The Dead Zone.

He explained to me that there are gems called Shadow Emeralds that hold dark powers that can unlock his true potential. He ordered me to construct a temple meant to store these emeralds once he found them, and he had his eyes on one particular Sonic world: Planet Freedom.

I won't go into the details of it now, but later I'Il explain Planet Freedom and its significance.

In the meantime, Xenophanes went exploring, since the idea of other beings like himself existing interested him at the time. Before long, The Dead Zone was full of inhabitants.

Majin, a being of infinity, comes often as a visitor to the zone. He lives in his own Infinite Dimension that is nothing, but trees for miles and miles in every direction.

Faker was brought in as a resident and he got his own portion of land called the Scorched

Badlands. He is a shape-shifting EXE with an alter ego named Black Sun. Neither of them are very bright, and they enjoy setting things alight in whatever way they can.

The Tails Doll and his... friend Needlestick were also brought into The Dead Zone. They are both bratty and argue with each other and everyone else often. Piracy Sonic also took up residence in The Dead Zone, and he brought his variants of Tails and Knuckles with him. He lives on a set of floating blue islands that orbits the Zone throughout the day.

And so, there I stood, seething with revenge for Xenophanes, but unable to act. I pushed all the residents away and made it clear that I was not to be messed with. I felt, so powerless, so chained up! I am Lord X! I deserve better than this prison!

It was these thoughts that would determine my future, especially when a new entity entered the zone: Former hero with an empty mind.

These next few years of my life are when was at my lowest, not only in disposition, but also in power. I wasn't allowed to do my usual business of taking souls and tormenting them, so I was left to mess around with Renè. This got boring very quickly, especially since there was so little room in Horror Hills.

I found myself spending most of my days Sleeping beneath one of my palm trees or in a cave opening that I dug.

In the meantime, the inhabitants would often bother me.

Majin and Piracy were especially close friends, so those two would often come around and see what I was up to.

Majin Sonic: Hey, Lord X! Sleeping on the job again?

Piracy: He's an old man, so he's always sleeping! Ha ha ha!

Lord X: Go bother someone else, you oversaturated gumballs!

I went by the name Lord X as it seems to fit me as it truly was my creations name and the X seems to really speak for itself.

I didn't feel welcome in the world that used to be mine.

It was disheartening to see what had once been my greatest achievement was now overrun by Xenophanes's colorless zones. It only made my resentment towards all the Dead Zone residents grow more and more... and out of control.

One day, a new resident came to the Dead Zone.

Naturally, Majin and Piracy found them first.

They gave him the name Centipede because of his second form, which they discovered to be a massive centipede-like creature with the arms of his victims.

Despite having terrifying potential Centipede was...... empty-headed.

He had little to no memory of who he was or what had happened to himself, so he was easy pickings for someone like me.

He fell cause the grass tripped him making me chuckle since I'm the one who made it happen.

Xenophanes and the others got on my case for picking on Centipede, which didn't help my reputation with them.

We later found out that Centipede was a former victim of Xenophanes's, and he has an X- scar across one of his eyelids as a result.

Before I continue, let me briefly educate you on Xenophanes's X scars.

If he makes a wound in the shape of an X he can control that scar to a certain degree. Since mine is across my chest, he can immobilize me entirely by making it feel like it is on fire. For Centipede, since his wound is on his head, he had trouble remembering his past, that is... until he finally did.

Centipede: I- I remember.. Xenophanes has a weakness... I know how to kill Xeno!

Xenophanes sensed this and went into a panic.

He wiped Centipede's memory again, fled to Planet Freedom, and there, he began seeking out and collecting the Shadow Emeralds, killing anything in sight along the way. We tried to mobilize and stop him, but he set my scar alight before any of us could move.

The Piracies stayed behind to help me, surprisingly, and the burning only stopped when Xenophanes lost his focus.

Without a red ring to get to Planet Freedom, we searched the Dead Zone for another way out.

Xenophanes's victims, Soul Tails, Knuckles, and Robotnick, led us to an underground ruin beneath Hill of the Void.

In this ruin were murals that described the three victims and how they can be used as a sacrifice in order to summon a red ring.

I remember Piracy getting shocked by something here, but I didn't think much of it at the time.

The Soul victims stood on their respective pedestals, and with their last breaths, their soul energy summoned a red ring.

We were able to get Majin back thanks to this, for he was trapped in his own zone until this time.

After getting him back, we made haste for Planet Freedom.

Once we arrived, we found out that our friend, Professor Ferdinand Prower, had taken Fleetway and Metal Sonic to try and stop Xenophanes in his tracks.

Unfortunately for them, Metal Sonic was destroyed in the fight and Fleetway was fatally wounded.

We found them in a crater: Metal Sonic was nothing but a scrap heap and Fleetway was clinging onto a Chaos Emerald like his life depended on it.

Even Prower had an X-scar on his wrist.

With all of us in one spot, we made a plan to take down xenophanes once and for all.

We took the weakened Fleetway to the Emerald Chamber, and there, he was supercharged with Chaos energy like never before.

Sparking with power, he darted away and led us straight to Xenophanes, who had just gotten the last Shadow Emerald on Angel Island.

Together, we fought Xenophanes to the bitter end. One by one, the Shadow Emeralds fell out of his quills...

Xenophanes finally fell to the ground, weak and beaten.

I had waited so long to see this moment.

Finally... finally he had a taste of his own medicine!

Taking him up in my fist, I knew exactly what to do with him.

Lord X: This is for all the humiliation you put me
through.

I flung Xenophanes into the Master Emerald, which Knuckles had brought up for this reason.

Xenophanes was trapped inside of it: the perfect crystalline prison for my most terrible offender!

Everyone around me rejoiced and returned to their living spaces, except for those who lived in the Dead Zone.

Without a red ring to bring us back, we were all stranded on Planet Freedom.

Professor Prower let us stay at his laboratory, but I had plans of my own.

Those fools had left me with all seven of the Shadow Emeralds, and the longer I held them, the more I thought about the old days when I had ruled the world.

I could easily do it again.

This planet was bigger and had more residents to torture.

I already thought of how I would twist each zone to my liking.

Oh, what a dream!

And it was one within reach!

With Xenophanes gone, I could do what I pleased, and no one could stop me in my tracks!

Centipede caught wind of my plans, though, and tried stealing one of the emeralds from me by eating it.

I was not above gutting him for it.

It was by this time that everyone else knew I was up to no good.

Majin came out to try and stop me, but even his infinite power couldn't match the boosted power of the Void.

I was about to begin my conquest when something.. unexpected happened.

I felt the presence of Xenophanes, and he was furious.

He saw how I was using the emeralds to do something he swore not to do.

He saw that I had the gall to go against him in his time of absence.

Oh..... he did not like it at all.

He made an example of me.

He stripped me of my confidence and humiliated me in front of every single member of The Dead Zone!

Lord X: I'm sorry... for harming you-AUGH!

Xenophanes: And?

Lord X: And trying to take over Planet Freedom.. I hope that you all can... forgive me...

And every single one of them... left me.

Even Majin, the one who sees good in everyone he meets... left me in the dust.

I was exiled from the Dead Zone from an unsaid amount of time.

My ankle was pulverized and my power was, so weak that I couldn't repair it. My nose was broken, my vessel was sore from being overworked.

I was at the lowest of the low.

There was only one person who helped me.

Professor Prowler.

At first I was confused and a bit resentful.

Why was he helping me?

I had done nothing good for him!

If anything I was a massive burden, but being with Prowler had taught me a valuable lesson.

Kindness does not reason.

He firmly believe that my life matter just as much as any other being on this planet and he was determined to help weather I liked it or not.

I grew fond of Prowler over these next few months and we became very good friends.

He replaced my foot with a prosthetic, but it hindered my walking to such a degree that I had to make myself a cane.

I knew that I would never hear the end of it, but it had to be done.

It was about six months after my exile and I was allowed to return to The Dead Zone, and when I returned, I found that Horror Hills was gone completely. I had expected it, so I wasn't too upset. I was more focused on regaining the good word of my fellow residents.

Centipede was the first to forgive me, and, as naïve as the decision was, I was grateful for it.

Over time, the other residents warmed up to me again.

Centipede allowed me to stay with him in his dimension called The Nowhere Zone.

I was making good progress with everyone, but... I had another issue creeping up on me.

My powers were fading rapidly.

I was once able to teleport with ease, but now it took at least five seconds to get from Point A to Point B.

I was slower and clumsier thanks to my prosthetic foot and cane.

And my energy for doing any form of activity was, so little that I slept for most of the day out of  necessity rather than boredom.

This would only prove to be more of a problem when Xenophanes... er... how do I put it.. 'went on vacation'.

Remember when Piracy got shocked by the mural underneath Hill the Void?

Well, that shock was actually a virus that contaminated Piracy's code.

This gave way to a terrible being of binary and octal: the infamous Fatal Error.

We had unknowingly encountered him when Xenophanes acquired the Shadow Master Emerald, but now he had decided it was a good time to come out in full force.

He quickly began to corrupt and claim different Zones and even got a hold of Centipede making him his slave like he did with Piracy.

All the remaining residents and I came together in the Hill of The Void and by the time we did this Fatal Error had opened up a rift in the sky.

We all knew he was up there, but we had no clue how to get up there.

Tails Doll tried flying up, but he was sent back down.

I tried teleporting, but I was also sent back down.

Centipede's Tails, Kinesis, to let us use his plane, which was in The Nowhere Zone.

As everyone made for The Nowhere Zone, Fatal sent his puppets after us I stayed behind to defend them with what little power I had left.

It was quick fight and Fatal made a show of his abilities.

I knew if I let him corrupt me everyone in the Dead Zone would perish, so I did the one thing I could do.

I destroyed myself.

My consciousness returned to the void and for once in a long time I was at peace.

The familiar feeling of being bodiless, formless returned to me and rejuvenated my senses.

It had been, so long since I had reconnected with the void and now that I was immersed in its vastness once again.

My strength and confidence was reinforced.

I once again had the power to concur worlds, concur tyrants!

Tyrants like Fatal Error who threatened the lives of those I sought redemption from.

No, I won't stand by and let this red buffoon take the victory.

I am Lord X!

The being born from nothing, but pure darkness!

I am what lurks in the darkness shadows in the caves where the sun doesn't dare shine!

I am the one who drug a human into the digital world, I am the one that seize control of the world that I found and made my own!

I am more than capable of taking on this sorry excuse for a virus!

After repairing my vessel within the void I returned to the world of the living in search of my redemption.

Fatal Error: WHAT A PATHETIC BEING YOU ARE!

Fatal Error: EVEN WITH YOUR INFINITE POWER, YOU COULD NOT DEFEAT ME-

Lord X: "Image Down Below" Did you miss me?!

The fight was one for the history books. Fatal Error pulled out all the stops in order to defeat me, but with my newfound strength from the Void, he was no match for me.

I beat him until he was nothing, but a mangled mess on the ground!

And even then..

Lord X: "Image Down Below" You are finished, Fatal. You got the fight you wanted and now you suffer for it. Begone!

Fatal Error: NO... I MUST HAVE THE VICTORY. I MUST WIN!

Lord X: YOU FOOL!

Xenophanes came back at this time and seeing what I had done gave me an ounce of respect.

I expected nothing more from him for the respect of everyone else in the Dead Zone was enough for me.

I had successfully redeemed myself in the eyes of the residents. Who I am now honored to call my friends.

After trapping Fatal Error in the Shadow Master Emerald to make sure he didn't return, Xenophanes reconstructed The Dead Zone after Fatal Errors recent escapades.

I hardly gained any land from it, but all that mattered to me was that I had some amount of presence.

Shortly after this, Xenophanes continued to
leave The Dead Zone for extended periods of time.

Peace had fallen on The Dead Zone... and I no longer stayed here within it as a different version of Lord X took my place here allowing me to do what actually wanted and Xenophanes has no control over my X Scar as I destroyed my vessel, yet again to make this vessel better and far more better looking and I'll have my own X scar that he will never be able to control, so I won't deal with that stupid burning ever again.

I had later created a new world for myself to inhabit and made it more... my style as well as murder the ones responsible for making my life, so miserable.

It was better and far more then what I had originally wanted to do and I made sure to make it more better then what I had started, but this story is far from over.

Another person would soon enter my life and change it forever.

3rd POV

Y/N no longer bared his old disgusting body that they secretly trapped him in since the clone they made was using his real one. As well as his old body no longer having Xeno's scar, so Y/N stepped it up and remade his own brand new body. He has officially become his own creation and will stop at nothing until he has achieved the life he wants.

Y/N: No more pain and no more games for them. They must suffer and I am going to make it hurt after what they did to me.

He created a disc called Sonic The Hedgehog and made his own set up on it the way Sonic.EXE would get his victims, so Y/N did his own spin and made it a PC Port following his set up and started his game of cat and mouse.

Y/N: After all the years of you morons hurting me... I think you should suffer the same way I did. What better way then to do the process to you.

He grins at them as they were confuse until he shows them his old appearance which they recognized and then he switched back to his Lord X appearance.

Y/N: Nighty night~

He pulls out what appears to be red rings as well as a ton of syringes with deadly substances and unsettling screams can be hard everywhere in his realm.

He finished killing them, but he didn't need the souls anymore as they are useless to him. He decided to open a warp ring as he trapped the ones who ruined his life before his change and tossed them to the other side as it closes knowing whoever was on the other side was enjoy himself or herself.

Y/N still remained in his Lord X Form incase anyone unexpected showed up or if he needed to get straight to killing, but he lets everyone call him Lord X and when he thinks he's safe and is okay sharing with sharing his real name he will tell it, but he won't tell anyone.

Years later a set of footsteps set can be heard as Y/N looks to see someone he recognized from the FNF World itself.

The person he saw was a girl in a red dress, heals and auburn hair as well as auburn eyes, but she was running with a scared look on her face confusing Y/N as he hasn't seen her like that.

She bumps into his furry chest and looks up only to see him looking at her.

She backs up a bit to get a better look at him.

The realization add her go wide eyed as she saw just who she was looking at.

Y/N did the good old Lord X smile just to scare her some more as he was intimidating enough in the form.

Lord X: "Image Down Below"

She did get a little more scared seeing him, but she found him to be cool and rather interesting despite how terrifying he looked.

Y/N knew her to be the important girl from FNF as this was GF.

He knew other versions of GF loved BF for reasons and he wasn't sure how she got into his world at all. He was gonna have to help her, but little did Y/N know that GF was going to change his life forever.
