You were a regular student with a not so flashy quirk. Your quirk was called phases. You could basically move through things or time and space. Not flashy at all. Useful though and dangerous. You almost got stuck once in the past.

It was a problem that happened often with your quirk which is why you didn't use it much. Even in training, you tended to practice moves without using your quirk much. The teacher never said anything about it. But you think he might be just waiting for you to slip up so he could say, now that's why you should practice your quirk with your moves.

But for now he seemed happy with you practicing this way. Plus you used your other quirk which was named Period. This quirk was a mutation off of your other quirk. This one allowed you to pause time for however long you could maintain your focus. If your thoughts moved from one thing to another though it would break. It was a challenging quirk to get used to and to use.

Your quirks might seem cool to others but you found them a burden. Raging headaches came from using them, pain was sent through your whole body when you were using phases and so much more. You were a reck. Worse than Midoriya who always seemed to break something when using his quirk.

"(Y/LN) are you paying attention to what All Might just said?!" Midoriya suddenly cut through your thoughts.

You shook your head your (e/c(s)) eyes went to look at the former #1 hero. All Might you looked up to that man.

"He said that we will be fighting one on one! He's about to draw out names! I hope I get to go against you!" Midoriya shouts out excitedly.

You nod and smile. Midoriya was a good friend and always wanted to hang out with you.

"Alright let's get to drawing, here are the pairings, (a bunch of pairings later) and Todoroki against (Y/LN)! Now everyone get to an open spot and wait until I say go." All Might tells you all.

You glance at the green hair next to you to see he's already off to find his partner. So like him. He wants to be the top hero after all.

"In thought." A voice states from behind you.

You jump and spin around your Period quirk activates. You take in the two haired kid in front of you know and slowly release your quirk. He looks at you and sighs.

"Again?" He questions and starts walking to an open spot.

You guys were training right behind the school today. It was easier for you guys to be watched this way. The hero's could get to you all fast if something did happen.

"Yeah...." You finally muttered out and followed him to the spot.

"Got a headache now?" Todoroki questions you.

You shake your head yes and get into a fighting position. Legs slightly bent, arms out but close.

"You know you need to use it right? You need to train them both, it's the only way to get better. Plus to become a hero you need to give it your all. You're holding back. I was too for a while but than Midoriya yelled at me for it. So I'll do the same, you need to use them. You need to get used to using them. You have been lucky unlike the rest of us and not had to face the villains but you won't be so lucky sometime and what are you going to do when you can't use them to your fullest?"

You grunt at his words and look at your scared up arms. There was not an inch of them that was bare of scars.

"It will ruin me." You say quietly.

"So can I. So will they." Todoroki replies sternly.

You look at him and brush your (h/c) back.

"I'll handle it when it comes." You tell him bluntly.

His face changes into a scowl. It looks weird on his normally neutral face. It also shoots fear into you.

"I'm not going to hold back. I hope you learn something from this." Todoroki tells you.

Your crush is about to destroy you....with both quirks. The determination in his eyes and on his face tells you this.

But you don't know if you should....fight this through. Would it be worth it?
