Draco mumbled frustratedly as he practically stomped around the Hogwarts grounds. He hated those meetings he had with the friends of his father, they made him feel wrong and angry. But as a Malfoy, he had no choice unless he wanted to be punished mercilessly.

Not wanting that, Draco lasted a whole two hour and extremely dark meeting. But there was one thing that made it somewhat bearable. You. Your smiling face would ease his heart and your laugh echoed through his mind, almost making him crack a smile.

But his father saw and made his point known about what his thinks of Draco's lack of interest in the meeting. And of course, Lucius blamed you. But he wasn't wrong. That was why Draco liked you so much, you made him feel happy and light. Something he yearned for.

He kicked at some rocks as he entered the school courtyard, his hands in his pockets, his head down. Draco was trying his best to think of a reason to come see you. Draco walked into the school and started to make his away through the maze of stairs. He noticed a group of girls so he made sure to avoid them. Suddenly the sound of your giggling made him freeze, his head snapping up to find you.

You stood with your girl friends, all bundled up to go to Hogsmeade. You moved some hair behind your ear as you looked up, catching Draco's eyes.

"Draco!" You practically ran up to him. Your friends rolled their eyes and left, but you didn't care, you thought something had happened to him.

"It's good to see you. How are you?"

Draco hesitated and you noticed so you changed the subject knowing he will tell you later.

"Never mind that, would you like to come to Hogsmeade with me?"

This time he didn't hesitate. Instead, he reached his arm out for you to take, the two of you taking your time, enjoying each others company.

Draco made up his mind; you are precious to him and he will protect you, to keep you with him. Your mere presence makes him feel like the most important and happy person in the world.
