Mary cheats on you with Francis

I drink another cup of wine not caring that it spilled on my shirt. I look up and see Mary walk through the door. I roll my eyes and stand up to poor more wine in my now empty cup.

"Y/n" she says.  I ignore her and pour wine in my cup. "What's wrong" she says grabbing my face between her hands

I want to melt but I remember what happened and push her hands off my face "who started it?" I ask sitting down taking a big gulp of wine.

She looks at me confused. I bitterly chuckle "I honestly don't know who I should be more mad at, you or my brother." I say shaking my head. She still looks confused.

"Y/n" she drawls out my name "what are you talking about?"

I roll my eyes while rolling my shoulders back "Your telling me you didn't think I'd find out about your secret meetings with my brother every morning?"

*flashback*

I grin as I walk down the path towards the lakeside. I'm the happiest I've ever been, and it's all because of Mary, my soon to be wife. As I continue to walk towards the lake I see.....Mary? Standing there by herself, just as I'm about to call out to her I see Francis come out and grab her from behind. I furrow my eyebrows but shake it off maybe they're just hanging out? But I just stand still whole I watch what happens, they're talking until they start kissing. I freeze. I watch as my brother and betrothed kiss behind my back. I clench my jaw and turn around wiping the tears out of my eyes. How could she? how could HE? My own brother?

*flashback end*

Her eyes widen and she shakes her head "W-wait Y/n it's not what it looked like" she says

I raise my eyebrow and stand up "It's not what it looks like?" I ask sarcastically "What it looked like, Is that the love of my life and the person I trust most in this world are screwing behind my back!" I say yelling louder with each world I speak.

As I'm about to continue the door opens and in comes a concerned Francis. He looks at Mary and then me and asks "What's going on in here?"

My eyes twitch with anger "What's going on is that my own brother is going behind my back with my betrothed!" I growl out angrily

His eyes widen and he looks at Mary then back at me "I'm sorry, I can explain!" He rushed out quickly.

I shake my head and walk past him as I'm about to open the door to leave he grabs my arm "Y/n w-" I cut him off by punching him in the face. Making him fall to the ground with Mary making sure he's okay.

"Don't you ever speak to me again" I yell at him. I look towards Mary "This alliance is done" I point between the two of us "I've already talked to Father and Mother I told them I don't want to marry you, so you'll be marrying Francis." I say but I look back at Francis "your dead to me." I say walking away with a broken heart.
