Narnian @ ❤️ (Part 2)

"I'm home, hello!" Lucy shouted, walking in the door. "Ed, sit her on my bed please." Lucy said, walking away from the door.

"Thank you Edmund for helping me walk," you said.

"It's nothing. Let's get you upstairs then."

"Hello Uncle Harold," Lucy said, walking Into the kitchen. It was a quaint little house that smelled of mothballs. "I tried to find some carrots but all they had were turnips again. Shall I start making soup? Aunt Albert's on her way home." She continued still with no answer from Mr. Scrubb. "Uncle Harold!" She exclaimed. But, he was lost in his newspaper.

"Hmm!" You exclaimed, trying to hold In laughter when Edmund started making hilarious faces at the man. That's when Eustace a short, pudgy, blond, and loud child appeared at the top of the stairs.

"Father, Edmunds making faces at you!" He exclaimed, before pulling out a straw and spitting at Edmund only to miss and hit you.

"Ew!" You said, cringing at the feeling.

"Here," Edmund said, gently sitting you at the bottom step and handing you his handkerchief. He then chased the kid up the stairs to hit him. "Why you little!" He exclaimed.

"Father, he's gonna hit me!" Eustace yelled. Right when Edmund caught the child Lucy came out of the kitchen with an emergency kit and a letter.

"Edmund look, it's from Susan." She said, smiling brightly. "Let's go upstairs," she said, sitting beside you and wrapping your arm around her shoulders. Edmund quickly left Eustace and grabbed your other arm.

"I feel so hopeless," you laughed.

"Lucy, I've got her." Edmund said, lifting you up. Lucy let go and started to walk up the stairs.

"Come on then!"

"I do wish you were here with us," Lucy read as you reached her bedroom.

"I think I can make it to the bed from here. Thank you Edmund," you said, walking through the door.

"Sure," he said, letting go of your waist.

"Is it a good letter Lucy?" You asked, sitting beside her on the bed.

"Please, call me Lu." She said, while Edmund grabbed the emergency kit that Lucy had brought up the stairs.

"Alright is it a good letter Lu?"

"I'm not sure yet." She said, ready to read more aloud.

"Will you call me Ed than Y/N?" Edmund asked, kneeling on the floor.

"I think not. Ed sounds dull and Eddie makes you sound like a child, you started.

"That's because he is a child!" Eustace yelled from the other room. Edmund immediately started to get up. You quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.

"I think Edmund is an amazing name. So, I want to use it."

"What about you Y/N?" Lucy asked.

"Well, my parents called me bunny!" You exclaimed, as Edmund dabbed alcohol on your wound.

"Sorry, What about your middle name?" Edmund asked.

"Well... my middle name is M/N," you answered, trying to hold in the pain.

"I've got it!" Edmund exclaimed. "Why don't we call you N/N?"

"It will take me awhile to get used to it and I might not answer to it at first. But, I like it."

"Good," Lucy said. "Shall I read the letter now?"

"Yes," you and Edmund said, in unison. He quickly wrapped your knee and sat beside you on the bed.

"I do wish you were here with us. It's been such an adventure but, nothing like our times in Narnia."

"Narnia?" You asked. "What is Narnia?"

"It's a place the four of us went as children." Edmund said, with a smile.

"Oh, it sounds interesting. Where is it?"

"It's a long story." Lucy said, clearing her throat then continuing. "America is very exciting. Except we never see father, He works so very hard. I was invited to the British consoles tea party this week by a British naval officer who happens to be very handsome. I think he fancies me. Hm, it seems the Germans have made the crossing very difficult right now. Times are hard. Mother hopes you won't mind another few months in Cambridge. Another few months?" She said, looking at Edmund who was now pacing the floor. "How will we survive?"

"You're lucky," he said sitting back down. "At least you've got your own room I'm stuck with mullet mouth."

"Susan and Peter are the lucky ones. Off on adventures."

"Well they're the oldest and we're the youngest. We don't matter as much"

"That's not true Edmund! Come on you two. It's not that bad." You said, while Lucy went to look in the mirror and Edmund read over the letter again.

"Do you think I look anything like Susan?" Lucy asked.

"You're beautiful Lucy. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise," You smiled at her.

"Lucy, have you noticed that ship before?" Edmund asked.

"Yes, it's very Narnian Looking isn't it?" She replied.

"What ship?" You asked, staring at the two that were now standing around what seemed to be a picture on the wall.

Yeah, well just another reminder that we're here and not there." Edmund replied.

"Where? Are you talking about Narnia?" You asked.

"There once were two orphans who wasted their time believing in Narnian nursery rhymes." Eustace said, walking through the door.

"Please let me hit him!" Edmund said, beginning to walk toward Eustace.

"No!" Lucy replied, holding him back.

"Don't you ever knock?" Edmund asked.

"It's my house I do as I please." Eustace started. "You're just guests. What's so fascinating about a picture anyway?" Eustace asked, sitting down on the bed. "It's hideous!" You immediately got up and limped toward the painting.

"You won't see it from the other side of the door." Edmund replied, helping me to the painting.

"Edmund what is Narnia?" You asked again, hoping this time you would get an answer.

"When the war was just starting. Our mother sent us away to live with a Professor and his house maid. One day we were playing hide and seek with Lucy's demand and she found a wardrobe." Edmund started.

"I hid in the wardrobe slowly going back until I reached a snowy world with a lamp post...
