Tom Holland ~ 17

Requested by fangirlatmidnight

Here this is, many, many, MANY months late. I'm so sorry for the wait, and thank you so much for being patient with me!

Also, I know that Tom and Haz couldn't have possibly known Zendaya and Jacob at 17 since they started filming for HOCO when they were like 20, but just bear with me here. This is fanfiction; anything can happen.

Italics are the current day events, regular text are the story parts that the main character is telling from her memory.

"So how did you and Tom actually meet?" Jacob asked me.

I groaned, shaking my head. "It was a long time ago."

"That still doesn't give you reason to not tell the story!" he reasoned. "They'll add whatever details we remember as you go along. Besides," he added. "That just made me wonder even more."

"Fine!" I consented. "7 years ago...."

~~~
"Izzy! We're leaving now! Hurry up!" my mom called from downstairs.
10-year-old me hurried as fast as I could down the stairs while lugging a big--or what was considered big for a 10-year-old--suitcase down. My dad took it from me once I reached the bottom, and I fell down and laid on the ground dramatically.
"I'm so tired." I whined.
My parents chuckled. "Come on, Izzy. We're going to be late."
I got up and ran to the car, jumping in and waiting for my mom to drive me to my theatre camp. It was a two week overnight camp, and it was the first time I would be away from home for an extended period of time. Hopefully I'd make some friends so I wouldn't be too lonely.
My mom got in and we were on our way to camp, me chattering excitedly in the backseat. We arrived a half hour early, which gave me enough time to find my room and put everything away, and make some friends.
I did make a friend, actually. Her name was Zendaya. She was really bold and outgoing. And she was really tall.
~~~

"Don't you start this too!" Zendaya groaned. "It's not my fault you and Tom and shorties."

"Hey! I may be short, but I can fight you anytime!" I shot back with a laugh.

"All right. Let's go. You and me, right now." she challenged.

"Okay, okay, break it up ladies." my boyfriend Tom said, trying to separate us.

We whirled on him. "This is something you can stay out of!" I screeched.

Tom backed away, holding his hands up as Zendaya and I went back to a silent staring contest. Harrison walked in at that moment, and his face morphed into confusion and concern.

"Uh....Tom?"

"Don't ask." He turned to me. "Uh, Izzy? The story?"

Zendaya and I broke eye contact. "Fine. We'll finish this later."

~~~
I bid goodbye to my mom, and I went exploring through the many halls of the college dorm we were using for those two weeks. I was walking down a main corridor when all of a sudden, two boys came rushing past me. The first one knocked me down, and the second boy ran over and helped me up.
"Harrison! I told you to watch where you're going!" he scolded his friend.
"But you just--" Harrison began, then shook his head. "M'sorry."
"That's okay. I'm really clumsy so it happens all the time."
"Well, I still feel bad about it. I'm Tom, by the way. The boy who bumped into you is my friend Harrison."
Tom was about my height, and had the softest-looking brown curls. His brown eyes sparkled with amusement and mischief. Harrison was about an 1-2 inches taller than Tom, and had sandy blonde hair, also very curly. His eyes were the bluest I had seen in my 10 years of living.
"I'm Isabella. Or Izzy. Either one is fine."
We stood there in a moment of awkward silence before Harrison broke it. He tagged me and dashed off. "You're it!"
Tom followed him, smirking over his shoulder at me. I thought it was funny. Especially since he ran into a wall a moment later. I burst out laughing, and he glared at me.
"Sorry, Tom." I apologized with a smile, helping him up.
~~~

"Such a div, Harrison. Such a div." Tom joked. The rest of us joined in laughing, while Haz had a small smile on his face.

"I said I was sorry!" he defended himself. "And that was a long time ago! Besides, I wasn't the one who ran into a wall because they couldn't stop staring at a girl."

Tom's smile turned into a glare. "At least I have a girlfriend."

I stepped in between the two boys. "All right, that's enough. I can't get anything done if you guys keep bickering."

"But you and Z--"

"Ehzipehzip shush." I interrupted him, waving my hand in a shushing motion in his face.

~~~
It was the third night that I had been there, and I still couldn't sleep. I couldn't tell whether it was me being homesick, or because of the terrible mattresses and air conditioning (it was extremely cold in there, and if I did fall asleep, I would be woken up again because it was so cold.). I sighed, getting up from my bed and went for a walk down the hall. I ended up finding myself by a large bay window at the end of the hall, and sat on the ledge, looking out at the moonlit sky.
I heard someone coming towards me, and turned to face them. I came face-to-face with Tom. Seemed a bit early, seeing as how I had only met him three days ago, but I had already developed a crush on him. I blushed as he sat down across from me, offering me a cheerful smile, which I returned.
"Are you okay?" he asked softly.
I shrugged. "I don't know. Either I'm homesick and that's been eating away at me, or my room's extremely cold and I can't sleep in there."
Tom laughed, and I smiled with him. Yeah, I definitely had a crush on him. Those soft brown curls, that beautiful smile, those mischievous brown eyes--
"Izzy! Earth to Izzy!" Tom said a little louder, waving his hand in front of my face.
I shook out of my thoughts. "Huh? What?"
"You were staring off in space."
I frowned. "Oh. Sorry. I should probably get back to sleep then."
Tom gave me a small smile. "I probably should too. Good night."
~~~

It was finally the last day of camp, and I really wished that it hadn't been such a short two weeks. I wished that I could spend more time with Tom and Harrison and Zendaya, but no can do. I found that Tom lived close by to me though, so I could stop by if I wanted.

"I'm gonna miss you, Izzy." Tom said sadly.

"Me too. But we can always stop by each others' houses if we want to. Come to camp with me next year?" I replied.

Tom nodded with a bright smile. "Duh. That's not a question."

~~~
"I would tell you guys what happened the next few years we went, but nothing really happened." I said thoughtfully.
Tom put on an expression of fake hurt. "You don't remember our first kiss? How could you?" he said dramatically, a hand over his heart. He fell over from his seat on the ground, and I poked his side, making him curl up.
"Enough with the dramatics. Let me tell them that part then."
Tom immediately sat up with an eager expression, and I punched him in the shoulder before starting again.
~~~

It was our last year at the camp, and Tom and I were sitting by the bay window like we did the first year we were here. Except this time, Tom was leaning against the wall with his legs in front of him, one leg on the ledge, the other dangling from the ledge. I sat in between his legs, leaning against him. It was also the last night of camp, not the third, so that was different too.

"I'm going to miss this camp." Tom remarked. "So many memories." He had a reminiscent smile on his face, his expression distant and daydreamy.

"'Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened'." I told him, quoting Dr. Seuss.

Tom pressed a kiss to the top of my head. "I know. I just don't want to go. This camp was really fun."

"Come back and volunteer?" I suggested. "Or maybe you can come back and propose that we have a college theatre course."

Tom kissed me on the top of my head again. "I think that's a great idea."

"Just don't let it get to your head." I joked, sitting up. "Come on, it's getting late. I don't want to get caught."

Tom pouted, and I chuckled. "Come on, Tommy. Let's get to bed. We've got to drive a long while tomorrow. I have to get up early too."

I pulled Tom up, and we began walking back to our respective rooms. Tom walked me to my room first, being the gentleman he is.

"Good night, Tom. See you tomorrow." I said quietly, not wanting to wake my roommate, Zendaya. It had been the same since we first started going to camp, and we all found that pretty funny.

"Wait." Tom stopped me, grabbing my wrist and gently pulling me back.

My eyes widened in surprise as Tom pressed his lips to mine. I was shocked, yet a bit happy. Why hadn't we done this before? We pulled away a moment later, Tom red-faced. I was pretty sure I was too. I kinda wished the kiss was longer.

"Good night, Izzy." Tom replied softly.

~~~
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. You're saying that you guys didn't kiss until the LAST night of your LAST year?" Jacob exclaimed, a look of fake disappointment on his face.
"Yeah, I was wondering the same thing when that kiss happened, mate." Tom answered sheepishly.
I punched him on the shoulder. "If you had done it any sooner I would've thought you were kidding and it was all a dream."
"Awww, you had a crush on me back then?"
I blushed and punched his shoulder again. "Not a peep out of you, even though everyone here heard that."
I leaned towards Tom to kiss him, and right when our lips touched Paddy comes running in with Monty and Tessa on his heels.
He takes one glance at us and turns right back around, running out the way he came. "OH, MY EYES! MY POOR EYES! THEY'VE BEEN TAINTED. I CANNOT UNSEE THAT! OH, THE PAIN!"
The rest of us laughed, Tom and I especially red-faced. Tom facepalmed, muttering something about taking away some of Paddy's privileges.
So, here's the finished product of this imagine that came out a few months late. Thank you so much for being patient with me!
Hope you enjoyed! Tell me if anything needs to be changed! :)
