Thank you for being patient while I wrote this! Set with the Toursies (I know you said Broadway, but I think this context worked better for the plot).

"But, Sofia, you have to come on this double date with me! Ben is bringing Sky along! We don't want him third-wheeling, do we?" my best friend pleaded with me.

I raised an eyebrow at her. "And what if Sky said 'No.'? Who would be third-wheeling then?"

My friend groaned. "If he said no, I wouldn't have asked." 

"Look, I know it means a lot to you, but Sky can wait another time. I haven't gotten the time to review the new notes we made in the script! You know how the fans are relying on us to deliver great shows every week."

"Come on, I haven't done that yet, but we still have some time. Relax, take a break. Clear some space in your head by coming on this double date with me."

I frowned at my friend for a moment, before faltering and finally conceding to go on the double date. Sky was attractive, no doubt. Maybe this would do me some good and help relieve some stress. 

"Alright, fine. I guess I could use a small break."

"YES!" she cheered. "This is gonna be awesome!" My friend dashed off towards her room, singing a happy song. She stopped before she disappeared in the hallway, turning back to me.

"Oh! Be ready by 7! Casual dress, we're going to see a movie, then we're probably heading to the bakery next to it." She gave me a wave and disappeared behind the wall.

"You owe me!" I shouted after her.

"You'll thank me!" she rebutted cheerfully.

We met Ben and Sky right outside the bakery, the pair of them sitting outside comfortably. My friend clasped my hand tightly and dragged us over to them, greeting them cheerfully. 

Sky and I smiled at each other, I felt like the awkward third wheel despite this being a double date. 

"Guys, I'm hoping you'll realize your feelings for each other and confess your undying love by the end of this date." my friend said.

I blinked at her. "What? Why did you say that so seriously?" I narrowed my eyes at her. "Are you and Ben planning something?"

She shook her head, a small smile growing on her face as she took Ben's hang and pulled him in into the theater. "Come on, we're gonna be late for the movie, guys."

You and Sky looked at each other when they were out of earshot. 

"They're definitely planning something." you said with a nod. "Something I'd rather not go through if they're planning it for us."

"Oh yeah." he agreed immediately. "Definitely."

"You wanna plan something for them? Maybe, a prank of sorts?"

"You had me at plan." Sky laughed. "Come on, let's go find some trouble."

I sent a quick text to my friend, letting her know that Sky and I were off. "Okay, my friend and Ben probably think that we're off doing whatever, it'll get them off our backs for a bit. What's the plan?"

"You wanna stick with a basic 'water in bucket over door' prank or go all out, Home Alone style?"

"Hey, hand me that bag of ducks." Sky called from the bathroom. "And the silly string, too."

I tossed Sky the bag of rubber ducks and a couple cans of silly string. "I think we did good. They'll be in for a surprise."

The plan was that we would set up our prank, then invite Ben to my friend and I's shared apartment for drinks. When my friend and Ben walk in, they'll be stuck with having to deal with the prank while Sky and I hide on the fire escape stairs. It won't take them too long to figure out it was me and Sky that set up the prank, but hopefully it would take long enough so I could get good footage and stop rolling the camera while they were still confused.

Our prank consisted of those rubber bath ducks and a mariachi band. It wasn't much, but it was still pretty entertaining to get set up, and would be even more entertaining to see the reactions to. Oh, and there was confetti all over the floor everywhere. Silly string was involved, somehow, thanks to Sky.

"How long do you think we'll have to wait?"

"They should be back soon. They're gonna get a heart attack when the mariachi band starts playing." I snickered, getting my phone ready to film their reactions.

"That was a nice touch, by the way. How'd you call in a band on such short notice?" Sky asked from the stairs as fiddled with leaning the phone on the wall.

"Someone owed me a favor." I shrugged.

A moment later, the door opened and I sprinted down the stairs to where Sky stood. There was a beat of silence, then we heard the sounds of a trumpet and guitars and the the shocked shriek of my friend. I hid my face in my hands to muffle my laughter. We were so screwed tomorrow, but it would all be worth it in the end.

"Ben! I swear, if this was your idea--" my friend began, shushing the band. They still played, just quieter. Who doesn't like having upbeat music in the background while you argue with someone?

"It wasn't me! Honestly how someone even got a mariachi band in here is--" Ben replied, then cut himself off.

"What?"

"It has to be someone we know." A beat. "Who hired you?"

"Some guy." came a reply.

"Come on." I muttered. "Just get to the ducks already!"

Right when the words left my mouth, my friend's second shriek of the night resonated throughout the apartment. 

"WHY THERE IS A GIANT RUBBER DUCK SURROUNDED BY MILLIONS OF SMALLER DUCKS IN HERE?!"

"There's what now?" Ben asked disbelievingly. If only we could see their expressions right now.

"Aaaand, it's time to go. Let me grab my phone and we can go." I whispered to Sky. 

I crept up the stairs and peeked over the window sill, seeing the light from the bathroom flood the room. Ben stood outside while small rubber ducks were being thrown out from the bathroom.

"EWWWWW, I just touched something slimy!" my friend called from the bathroom. "I swear, when we find out who did this--"

I didn't stay to hear the rest. I think my friends would have seen me there by then, so I grabbed my phone and dashed down the stairs, grabbing Sky's hand and running down the fire escape stairs.

"I didn't stick around long enough to see more reactions, unfortunately. But, we did get good reaction footage." I called to Sky as we ran. I didn't even know where we were running to.

When we stopped though, I noticed we stopped in front of a cozy diner. I sat on the bench right outside the door, leaning back and breathing out a sigh of relief.

"I don't think they saw us, but what's the plan for when they prank us back?" I asked.

"Be on guard, I guess. And don't get shocked." Sky shrugged.

It was then that I noticed Sky and I were still holding hands. It was nice, I'll admit. Maybe this double date did do me some good.

"Hey, Sofia?"

"Mhm?"

"How about I take you on a date?"

"Right now?" I turned to Sky with a questioning look.

Sky nodded. "Right now."

I grinned. "I'd like that."

Sky stood up and helped me up, looking inside the diner's window. "What do you say to eating here?"

I looked in, then back to Sky. "That sounds amazing."

I stared at him for a moment longer, then leaned forward and quickly pressed a kiss to his cheek. His face was as red as his hair when I pulled away.

"Thank you, Sky."

I took his hand again. "Now, come on. Food is calling us!"
