Here's a Josh one, which I have not had in a very long time.
(JOSH'S FACE THO 🤣😍)
And tbh, I know that this may or may not have been what you had in mind. But I put my own spin on the idea, and I hope you like it!

"Bye, Sydney!" I called over my shoulder as I left the animal shelter I worked at. "See you tomorrow!"
I had worked part-time at the shelter for about a year and a half now, and I really wanted to adopt a dog. My dream was to work with animals, which was why I was pursuing a degree in Veterinary Assistance. Working at a shelter would be perfect experience for working with dogs and cats, and household pets.
I had already had my sights set on the most adorable 6 month-old border collie puppy. She seemed to be the most cheerful of the bunch, definitely the most rebellious and playful. She had a sad puppyhood though. Her mother died when she was only 5 weeks old, and it was a good thing we found her when we did. She was such a skinny little thing when we found her, malnourished and shivering.
When I stepped through my front door, I made up my mind. I was going to adopt the border collie (which I had named Angel in my time spent with her) tomorrow. Yes, I know that border collies are known to be energetic, but hey, I just bought a new house with a decent amount of space inside, plus a huge backyard. Angel could let her energy out in the yard. I already had another dog, a two-year-old corgi, and the two could play outside together. I hurried to get ready for tomorrow, a giddy smile on my face, even as I fell asleep.

I woke up early to get to the shelter and get everything sorted out. I might have to take the day off today, but Wednesdays were always slow, so I didn't think anybody would need to fill in for me. There was always at least 15 employees at the shelter anyway.
I hurried around my apartment, getting everything that I needed, and before I knew it, I was out the door and opening the door to the shelter, hearing the bell jingle with the door's movement.
"Hey, Melissa." Sydney greeted me as I walked in. "A bit early for your shift."
I smiled. "Yeah, I actually wanted to adopt a dog?" I told her.
Her eyes widened in surprise. "Really? Come on, I'll take you 'round back to get everything settled."
We passed by Angel's kennel on our way to speak with our manager, and she yipped happily when she saw me.
Turns out, my manager was pretty lenient on letting me take this coming week off. (It's Tuesday, I go back next Wednesday.)
"Just don't get into too much trouble." he remarked with a laugh. "Angel is a handful, as you already know."
"I'll try not to. But no promises." I joked.
Sydney and I walked out, and I hurried around the shop section of our shelter, and bought the necessary things for Angel. I could get some of the other stuff tomorrow.

Walking out of the store with Angel, I felt happier than I had in a few weeks. I had a dog by my side, how could I not be happy? Unfortunately, Angel had yet to work on her rebellious and adventurous attitude. She immediately figured out a way to escape from her leash, running away from me. I sighed, and went after her in a brisk walk.
Once she was in my view again, I saw that she was playing with a cute guy who looked to be in his early twenties. He was with a group of boys that looked to be around his age as well. I ran over to them, calling my rebellious dog's name.
"Angel!" I called a bit irritably. She looked up at me with such an innocent face. How could I stay mad at her?
"Is that her name?" the boy asked. "She's really sweet."
I nodded, a smile on my face. "I just got her today, actually." I took the leash from the boy's hand.
"I'm Josh, by the way. Nice to meet you." He crouched down to scratch Angel behind her ears. "And you too, Angel." She barked in response.
"Melissa. Nice to meet you too."
Angel barked again, making Josh laugh.
"Would you like to stay around and play with Angel?" I offered Josh.
He smiled. "Really?" I nodded in response. "Well of course I'd stick around and play with an adorable puppy."

We had been in the park for a while now, and Josh's friends had long gone to their apartments. And Angel had ran away again, causing me to sigh and laugh a little.
"Angel! Angel, come here, girl!" I called for her.
She came bounding out of some bushes to my left, Josh's right, chasing a butterfly. And she underestimated her speed and my location, and crashed into me, causing me to stumble forward and into Josh's arms. Angel stumbled back, landing on her rear end and sneezing.
"Oop, sorry." I apologized.
Josh helped me stand upright on my feet, and Angel came bounding over to us, jumping up as high as she could on our legs.
"Down, Angel." I commanded my puppy. She whined, sitting down. "Good girl!"
I looked up at Josh. "Well, it was nice meeting you, Josh. Hope I'll see you around?"
He nodded, a half-sad look on his face. I turned to leave, but he grabbed my wrist. "Wait."
I turned back around and was met with a kiss. From Josh.
Well that was sudden.
Josh pulled away, looking flustered. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that--I'm so stupid. I'll just go now." he stuttered, turning away. This time it was me who grabbed the wrist and stopped the other from walking away.
"Hey, don't sweat it. I kinda like you too." I reassured him. He sighed in relief.
He let go of my hand. "I'll see you tomorrow?"
I nodded, and we parted ways. When I arrived back home, I saw a piece of paper was stuck in Angel's collar. I pulled it out of its spot and looked at it, wondering if it was a lost receipt or just scrap paper.
Turns out, it had a number on it.

A smirk appeared on my face.
Smooth, Josh. Smooth.
Like I said, it may or may not have been what you had in mind.
But I hope you enjoyed! Tell me if anything needs to be changed, or if you want me to rewrite it since it may or may not have been the way you might have wanted it. :)
