Bucky Barnes ~ Live Through My Curse (Part 2)

Requested by Lulubear140

Okay, I realized that the scene I put Bucky in was a scene before he got his metal arm. And rather than rewrite the whole scene/imagine, I'm suggesting this:

Imagine this takes place after Bucky was abducted by HYDRA, and he was attacking a train much like in the scene in The Winter Soldier before he fell. He attacked the train, fell off of a train yet again, and was found by Lucy. Part 1 of the imagine left off with gunshots being heard, and the rest is here. Remember, Lucy has been living with minimal human contact pretty much most of her life, so when she sees the soldiers, she doesn't know who they are.

Bucky and I rushed out of my hut, and to the sight of soldiers with guns aimed at us. They wore some kind of logo on the arm of their jackets, a red octopus with a skull head. I could see a flash of white behind them, off in the distance.

I shoved Bucky behind me and into my hut, throwing in my gloves after him. I didn't even wait for anybody to shoot; I just charged at the nearest soldier and punched him before grabbing his arm and watching him shrivel up and die.

I flipped over to the next soldier, who had backup. I fought the both of them at the same time, kicking and punching. Eventually, the other soldiers came to their senses and surrounded me. And they all must've been made of all brawn and no brain because I killed them all easily.

As they all laid around me, I picked up a pistol from one of the fallen soldiers and held it up, aiming it at their commander. He had watched from the sidelines with amusement, but now he had a look of shock and anger on his face.

I didn't even wait for him to talk. I just pulled the trigger and dropped the pistol, walking back to my hut, where I saw Bucky hovering in the doorway, with a look of utmost shock on his face. He opened his mouth to ask questions, but I gave him a look, telling him that now was not the time, and he closed his mouth. Trust me, I wanted to ask questions too, but that would only delay us.

"Pack up what you have. We've got to leave. They'll come back with reinforcements once they notice that their little collecting squad hasn't come back." I said. I pulled on my gloves and packed up all my things. I sadly left my beloved books, hoping that I would not come back to find that they had been destroyed or burned. But that was wishful thinking.

Once on the road, Bucky broke the silence between us.

"What exactly did you do to those soldiers?" he asked, warily.

"It's my power." I deadpanned. "I touch living things, they die. Although in your case, you didn't die when I touched you the first time I met you. Your arm I touched had a hand that seemed completely human, so I don't know what was up with that."

"Oh, that." he said a little nervously.

I looked at him suspiciously. "Something I need to know?"

Bucky quickly shook his head. "Not right now.

We made camp near a rock tower that night. I sat away from the fire, staring up at the starry sky.

"They did things to me." Bucky suddenly said.

I turned to him. "What?"

"They brainwashed me. Gave me this." he said as he took off the sleeve of his jacket. Underneath was a metal arm with a red star at the shoulder. Bucky seemed to be lost in thought.

I walked over to him and looked him in the eye.
"Hey. It doesn't mater what they did. Or what you did. What matters is that we get out of this alive. We can find a way out."

Bucky sighed and turned away, lying down on the snowy ground. I shook my head and walked back to my spot.

"I know we can." I mutter to myself, the stars twinkling in the night sky.

~~~
It had been a month since Bucky and I had left my hut, which was probably all destroyed and burned by now. A month since my encounter with humans in a long time. A month since we had been on the run. A month since I had gotten.....feelings.
Yeah, feelings.
Every time I saw Bucky, my heart would flutter and I would get butterflies in my stomach. Every time I did something, I'd always be a little more careful than I usually would, thinking of Bucky and trying to stay alive for him. And every time I tried to convince myself that it was only because Bucky needed a guide so he wouldn't get caught again.
I shook away my feelings and thoughts, and continued walking, keeping an eye out for anything amiss. Nothing had attacked us in the past month, minus the occasional wild animal.
Suddenly, soldiers came storming out of nowhere holding guns, and I felt a sudden and searing pain in my abdomen and in my chest. I looked down to see two bullet holes, one in my stomach and the other in my heart, both bleeding profusely. I fell to the ground, light-headed and my vision blurring quickly. I blinked the blurriness away, enough to see that Bucky was knocked unconscious and being dragged away to a truck that I didn't see before.
"I'm coming, Bucky." I mumbled in my half dead state. "I'm...."
The last thing I heard was, "Leave her. She'll die here soon enough."
And everything went black.
Okay, well, here's part two.
That came out about a month or two later than I expected.
Whoops.
Anyway, I feel like there should be a part 3. What do you think?
Hope you enjoyed! Tell me if anything needs to be changed! :)
