"So, this glove is what I use to scan my alternate selves and I can summon them in our universe?" Houki asked.

"Yes, and we have 10 dimensions that we use" Ichika replied.

"I see, so we use this machine to get transported to the other dimensions" Houki said, pointing at the transporter.

"Yeah, just be aware, it will be a bumpy ride" Akira explained.

"Oh, ok" Houki replied.

"Anyway, let's get Houki her alternate selves so we can get some extra help" Lucas said, ending the explanation.

Getting onto the machine, the four stood in the centre as Akira turned on the machine, transporting them to U1. While the trio had grown accustomed to this form of travelling, Houki was screaming for her life. She kept on waving her arms around and flailing as if she was thrown into the vacuum of space.

In U1

Upon arriving at the first universe, Derek, Ichika, and Sarah managed to land on their feet without toppling over. Houki on the other hand, she landed flat onto the ground, face first. Getting up and dusting herself off, she looked around to see that this universe wasn't particularly different.

"Which universe is this one?" Houki asked.

"We call it the Mechanical Dimension, our counterparts are engineers" Derek answered.

"Hey guys" A voice called them. The four turned around to see Ichika1.

"Hey there" Ichika greeted, shaking his counterpart's hand.

"I see you brought your Houki with you" Ichika1 commented, "Good thing too, she's been dying to get on the action we've been a part of"

"Well, she'll be happy once we see her" Derek exclaimed.

"Huh, I wonder if the other versions of me feel that way" Houki thought.

When the five of them made their way to the workshop, Ichika1 called out for Houki1, saying that something special is here. Upon hearing that, Houki1 came running towards them, having finished up fixing one of their gadgets as shown by the oil smudges on her.

"Yes, what is it?" Houki1 asked.

"The dimension travellers have brought their Houki" Ichika1 answered.

"Really? Awesome" Houki1 cheered.

"Just press that button right there and point it at her" Sarah instructed.

Once Houki scanned her dimensional counterpart, the two of them sat down to have a conversation before leaving. The others watched from afar and could easily see the cunning difference between the two. Houki was a more reserved person while Houki1 was very talkative and bubbly. After half an hour, the four left to go to the next dimension.

In U2

Arriving at the next dimension, Houki once again fell onto the ground while the others landed perfectly. After getting up, she looked around to find that they were in a medieval village with a large castle up ahead. Making their way towards the castle, Houki was mesmerised at how old the area looked compared to their more advanced world. Once arrived, the guard let them in and took them towards the training grounds where their counterparts were.

"Hello there" Derek2 greeted while sharpening his blade, "I see you brought you world's Houki along"

"Yeah, do you know where she is?" Ichika asked.

"Over there" Derek2 pointed towards the dummy station. The four looked over to see Houki2 setting up the dummies with Ichika2. Just like the other counterparts, she was dressed in tunics and a cloak with some armoured parts around her shoulders, legs, and arms.

"Um, hello" Houki greeted.

"Oh, greetings, you must be my counterpart" Houki2 greeted with a handshake, "I say, you are very stunning, you must make your Ichika flustered"

"Um, what?" Houki questioned.

"I'm messing with you, but you are lovers, right?" Houki2 asked.

"Uh, yeah" Houki answered.

"That's good to hear, power couples are very good, in fact, we once took down a dragon just the two of us" Houki2 said, thinking about her adventure. After their conversation, the four went over to the next universe.

In U3

Arriving in this dimension, Houki finally got used to the travelling and is now landing properly. Looking around, the area looked to be a mix of a medieval kingdom and a futuristic utopia. What stood out the most was a lot of the machinery appeared to have glowing blue lights.

"This looks amazing" Houki commented.

"Indeed, they use magical energy to power their things here" Derek told her.

"Wow" Houki replied.

"Hello, my comrades" A voice called out.

The four turned to see their counterparts, dressed in robes, cloaks, and pointed hats. Derek3 carried a staff, Sarah3 carried a wand, Houki3 had a short staff and Ichika3 didn't hold anything. Once Houki scanned her counterpart, they made their way to the next dimension.

In U4

To say that Houki was very shocked would be an understatement. Everyone in the village that they had arrived at were half scaly. Not only that, but they also had wings, fangs, claws, and tails. Sarah assured her that it was fine and that they won't hurt them unless provoked. They went and located their counterparts and scanned immediately.

"Don't worry about the looks, the others got used to it pretty quickly" Houki4 assured.

"Yeah, we'll see you next time" Ichika4 ended.

In U5

Arriving at the next universe, they landed in front of a large lab facility. Entering the facility, there were loads of workers dressed in lab coats wearing protective gear and making loads of chemical formulae. Eventually, they found Houki4 working with Derek4 on some medication.

"Ah hello, I was informed that you were visiting for your dimension scan" Houki4 greeted.

"Yeah, just real question, how exactly do you help out?" Houki asked.

"Simple, we understand anatomy and organs very well to make medication and performance enhancers without the side effects" Derek4 explained, "Also, we are skilled in the arts of bio-engineering and can help out in those cases"

"Like the time he was sent to check those artificially made humans of Harrison's" Houki4 added.

"Huh, I never really thought about that" Houki commented.

In U6

When they arrived at this dimension, they so happened to appear right when they were in the middle of training. Inside the dojo, both Ichika6 and Houki6 were sparring, utilising their martial arts prowess to see how well they can fight now. The four decided to sit on the sidelines and wait for them.

In U7

After they had finished in U6, they made their way to U7 and it was more futuristic compared to their universe. It almost looked like half the buildings were made of pure hologram. They managed to run into Derek7 and Sarah7 who took the four to their cybersecurity office. Not only did Houki learn that they are world-class hackers, they also can create objects using condensed hologram.

"Wow, this technology is so amazing" Houki exclaimed, "It beats the stuff at home for sure"

"Indeed, so when push comes to shove, we will help you guys in battle with our holographic machinery" Sarah7 replied.

"It definitely beats the IS" Derek commented.

"Sure does" Sarah agreed.

In U8

They didn't get to stay in U8 for that long because their counterparts needed to take their meditation to relax themselves. So Houki just scanned her counterpart and the four of them left.

In U9

Arriving at this dimension, they were at the military base that housed the galactic soldiers there. When Houki met the counterparts for the first time, she was extremely shocked to find out that their legs were prosthetic.

"So, you're telling me that you amputated your legs for better piloting?" She questioned.

"Yes, it saves having to make specialised suits that compress our blood in our legs to push the blood flow" Ichika9 explained.

"This is weird" Houki commented.

"How long do you think we'll be here?" Ichika asked.

"Knowing how we went, probably an hour" Derek answered.

In U10

After the long conversation back in U9, they made their way over to U10. Out of all the dimensions she had travelled to, this one was Houki's favourite. It reminded her of home, being a shrine maiden and learning kendo. The samurai were well trained, noble, fearless, and showed respect to many. The only difference was that they had a spiritual connection to the dead which allowed them to use a lot of spectral techniques.

"I kinda wish I was from here" Houki commented.

"How so?" Sarah asked.

"I feel like I can fit in here more than I do at home" Houki answered.

"Fair enough" Ichika replied.

Back at the lab

"Alright, now that Houki has gained her counterparts, we can move on to the next part of the plan" Akira told everyone.

"What's next?" Sarah asked.

"Well, considering that we have taken Houki from their grasp, they plan on using the other representatives and Ichika's sister as bait" Akira explained, "However, we can stop them by rescuing the others before they can initiate their plan"

"Awesome, then what?" Ichika replied.

"After that, we will have them rescue the other people while we take care of Harrison" Akira told him, "I just need to finish the machine"

"Alright, we best get started" Derek exclaimed.

"Right" The others agreed.
