Chapter 9: Mark Making Defense

I begin looking through darkness with the gift of Value. Jinpei is following me while Gideon was keeping his gait as equal to my speed crawl.

I heard others gearing up behind me and the only person left behind was Mabel, I softly hear her cry. I heard her brother comforted her, but it wasn't enough.

The smell of the flower close is pomegranate and Lilies, meaning the scent is spring near to the underworld of death.

My main eyes begin to wake up and started to fill in the light of hue forgotten from ten minutes of blindness, seeing the trees and the beautiful sky.

"Hey Lyn!" Said my brother, "your eyes are back to normal" he noticed as my main eyes are open along with the other opened eyes

I slowly thought about closing it but I get a sense of wonder if I can use my other eyes for a little longer...

"What a half-month turn of events! I caught you!" Emerald smirked proudly when she tied up her enemy

"Glad you did it! I almost had a blast... Now! Time for the retrieve girl!" Bill declared

"Nice choice Ben! Let's tear that flower apart!" She said as a sparkling blue light erupted into her arm, "Ow! Something is wrong with this price of organic life!"

The flower unknown to them is protected by a force field, during my brother's last trip there, my aunt casted a spell along with the lily flower seed planted in to preserve the location of my dad's defeat. The only thing to obtain it is that the members of my family are allowed to come and grab it. No other Fictioners can grab the flower by force

"How can the flower be this strong! All life forms beyond humans are stronger than the plants!" She stomped the ground to match her rage

"Anything beyond human can be beaten by plants, I've seen crazy men planting potato mines in the front yard to defend themselves from zombies!" Bill or what Emerald calls him "Ben" said to her

"I don't think lilies have "Plants Vs. Zombies" potential..." she recalled

"You get to love the ground girl, cause you're about to kiss it!" I shouted as I smacked her to the ground!

"Lyn! It's about time you came here!" Lars asked

"Sorry, trying to find a way to get my focus to the main mission here!" I answered

"Well look what we have here... several chosen from the finale that managed to harm my eye" Ben crumbled the ground to slow down the gang as I climbed into the trees and face the enemy above

"You came in right on queue! I would love a spider bear rug when I've gotten my revenge from Hirsch!" He summoned blue fire from his palms and attacked me from the pine tree

"You sure are mad at me for burning your eyes" I cried out

"I would've burned your eyes too if it weren't for that unknown demon!" Ben snarled at me

"What?" I gasped

The gang made it out to town to warn the townspeople about the return of the "unmentioned" event

"Guys! There is a yellow triangle guy with the green lady harming a friendly bear!" Jinpei asked

"You mean to tell me that the guy who turned my boyfriend into gold was still alive!" Sheriff Blubs

"And that green lady who donated recently was evil and joined him?" Deputy Durland mentioned that to Jinpei, "she was so kind..." he begins to cry

"There there..." Ian soothes him, "I understand cops like you back in my home"

"We will recommend an evacuation plan for the mayor. Thanks for telling us about it kids!" The policemen went to the car and drove off to city hall

"I just wish that everyone was here... I don't want myself to mess up..." Mabel seemed down about the situation she's in

"Don't be upset, you were tricked, and it was my fault that I should've been there with you as your conscience." Dipper comforts her

"But we must go back to the flower! Lyn and I are the only ones to remove it from the barrier. We just need to distract Bill" Cubbonyan explained

"That is not always true..." my brother turned around to see the six fingered man looking down to him

"You're Stanford Pines" He stuttered

"I've known the plant for a while now before my trip to the Arctic Ocean. That barrier is the only thing I ever discussed, but that's when I realized, it has another way for Bill to get it" Ford explained

"What do you mean?" Pacifica asked

"My brother noticed the flower first and he gently touched the petals without the barrier harming him. I discovered that only Fictioners with the voice of the Nonfictioner Artists can access the flower. He, Soos, and Bill are the only ones here who is voiced by Hirsch"

"We must go back! Lyn doesn't know anything about this!" Cubbonyan declared

"But how!? We're not in the mind and we don't know where the rest of the zodiac goes?" Dipper informed him

"Did somebody's say "rest of the zodiac"?" Another voice calls out from behind, bringing a few more people into the group

"I reckon we smash that with somethin'!" Old Man Fittleford McGucket shouted out with glee despite having some sanity not fully regained

"Good plan!" An adult-aged Wendy smiled as she came out from her motorcycle

"It is destiny to battle with you Wendy!" An older Robbie begged her

"Get over it" she laughed

"Grunkle Stan! You brought everyone here?" Mabel looked at him like she saw hope

"Sure do sweetheart, this town has started to grow on you kids" he explained

"Actually he brought us here cause he promised us $100 bucks!" Wendy admitted to the team

"I don't care if you're not part of the shack anymore, the world is important to all of us!" Stan said as Ford drew a circle similar to the one from the finale

"Let's try this again, right Stanley?" Ford asked his two brother

"I'm sure the kids will probably understand that we've changed" Stan smiled

"We should do this too, because we put fate in Lyn to stop the lady in green!" Mabel smiled proudly

"Who's Lyn?" Wendy asked her

"She's my new friend" they all joined together holding hands and a powerful aura starts to glow, banishing Bill from the world

I took a look at my foe as Emerald glared at me with her one eye, "You are worthy of a challenge! You were blinded but you're alive still! I will try to terminate you as quickly as I can!"

"How can the demon wisp tried to blind me?" I said to myself, "he did help me do Form and Value, but what other impossible technique will he tried to teach me next?"

"Use the darkness and the light from Value, combined with the hues from Color and 3D forces of Form. Scratch the ground or the target to pull off another uncommon element, Mark Making" the demon said through my head

Huh? How can you tell me this now!?! I'm not blind anymore! I said in my mind

"I'm telling you this cause this is important for your skills! Mark making is like what you saw in your favorite show list, close combat in the dark! While I made you temporarily sightless, you gained Value through your other bear senses before asking you how to utilize them."

You're testing me? I thought

"Yes, Mark Making scratches deeply in the prey while in a continuous pattern or different sketching style. It was only taught after mastering Value, so you might get the upper hand!"

Thanks! Blind me again! I asked him

"Hai!" He agreed as he blinded me again, I took a deep breath through my nose and saw the black and gray world again, I saw the shape of what I assumed is Emerald, she wreaks of artificial tech, which it might've been the smell of her gem.

"How can you get close to her but not to- AHHHHH!!! What's happening!" Bill screeched in pain as his hands smacked the ground near to the flower

"How is this possible!?" She said to him

"HYAHHHHHH!!!!" I scratched her from behind and she lost her form in the poof cloud

"Do you know what you've done! I should've gotten double of the Pines twins if it weren't for you!" Bill seemed angry, "I EVEN GOT CRITICIZED BECAUSE OF THEM CALLING ME BEN INSTEAD OF MY NAME! I'm not totally compared to your mother's dimension!"

"You might as well go to Impyur empty-handed!" I grinned

"Well you didn't realize what I hold here..." Bill lifted his hand with the ground underneath the flower, "can't you believe it that I accidentally did this!?"

"No..." I gasped

"You are improving kid, I will reward you with this!" Bill gives me the lily flower before he's completely banished, "You will probably tell your family what a disappointment you are"

He laughed as the blue light pulls away him out from his world and unknowingly headed to another, holding a key to free the enemy, "Dad, I'm so sorry..." I cried as I hold the flower that dates back to the battle

"It's my fault..." I continued to collapse into despair as I give into this everlasting guilt of failure

Cubbonyan: went to a cool museum with Japanese history

Jinpei: I went to the new water park in the yokai world! It was the coolest!

Ian: it's more like this, totally a quest!

Cloudless: car washes, refreshing drives at cool places and restaurants, and drive-in movie theaters!
