(i looked up the name in case it was already taken, and though Static is taken, Static Shock is not. it is however a tv show for the superhero Static. i totally understand if i need to make a new name, just let me know)

Powers/Abilities:
Nova has the ability to manipulate electricity, she can create static electricity and occasionally summon lightning and even on rare occasions she can conjure up thunderstorms.

Personality:
Nova isn't much of a wild child. Her temper does tend to get the better of her, quite often at that, but she tries her best to avoid conflict. She's a bit of a goofball, constantly making jokes in an attempt to clear the room of tension, though her presence tends to bring a bit of electrical tension into the room. Not necessarily being bipolar Nova does struggle with her mood swings. Most of the time whoever she's laid back and observant of whatever may be going on, but as soon as you get her fired up it's game on.

Flaws:
It's very difficult for Nova to control her powers. When she's angry she can accidentally shock others or unintentionally call down a lightning strike. Her anger tends to get the best of her which causes her to lash out at others. Nova is still a bit young so she can be naive, she likes to think she is invincible, so her arrogance gets in the way. On the rare occasion that Nova can summon a thunderstorm, they most of the time are strong and powerful, which drains the girl to almost nothingness.

Backstory:
Nova was born in Lake Mary, Florida but when she turned eight her family decided to move to Topeka, Kansas. Growing up Nova had a younger brother, Mateo, who was almost two years younger than the girl. Her parents were both busy workers, always doing their best to provide for their kids, which is why the family had to make just a drastic change from the east coast to the mid-west. The four lived a pretty bland life. Nothing really exciting came up during the family's stay in Kansas. But the one event that changed their lives was on April 26. When Nova was 15 years old she was walking home from school, which was only four blocks away from her house. She always walked to and from school, regardless the weather. Rain or shine she was still forced to walk. One day on her way home from school Nova had her books in her bag and was practically running home, seeing as it was storming pretty bad and she had forgotten her umbrella at home that morning. Racing to her house as soon as she had reached her driveway she saw a bright flash of white and a sharp pain in her back. Nova had been struck by lightning, and instead of convulsing on the ground, like most victims did, Nova stood up and felt perfectly fine, just a bit confused as to what had happened. It wasn't until later she realized what had happened. A weather station in the middle of town was in the works of creating a satellite that could detect and repel storms. During the storm the workers decided to test out their invention, which backfired. Though it did repel the storm, the static within the air formed and shot random lightning bolts across the city. Some hitting trees, houses, cars, or in Nova's case, people.

Likes:
Nova loves animals, they're her weakness. Dogs are her favorite, but strangely lizards are a close second. She's a bit of a nerd and loves her video games, and music is also one of her most favorite things.

Dislikes:
Yes, she loves animals, but she hates bugs. They creep her out and she can't stand the creepy crawlers. Although she has a short-temper Nova hates getting mad. She tries to avoid confrontation as much as possible, though it can be difficult for her to keep her cool.

Fears:
Nova's biggest fear is that she will accidentally shock someone but her powers will be too strong and she will accidentally kill someone. Her hate for bugs is mostly fueled by her fear of bugs, mostly spiders.
