Which is.. I ship Shadow x Sonic and they have a son name Shannon. Don't ask how they had him I don't know how to explain. My AU. 

"You let them killed me, Shadow.."

"You promised me.."

"Now you broke it!"

Shadow stare horrifically at the blonde haired girl who has a gun bullet on her chest. Blood dripping from her head and her eyes full with hate. Shadow felt his chest tighten make him unable to breath. Tears fall from his eyes, his hands are shaking uncontrollably. 

"MARIA!!!"

Shadow jolt up from his bed sweating. He take a deep breath and look at the clock which is hanging on the wall. Two thirty-five in the morning. He glance at his son, Shannon who is sleeping beside him but he don't see Sonic staring at him from the door.

"Maria..?" Sonic asked as he walk to his husband with two mug of hot chocolate. Shadow nod still wipping his tears which can't stop falling.

"Shadow-"

"It should be me, Sonic" Shadow interrupted with a sob. Sonic knew about Maria from Rouge. How close their bond like a siblings. Sonic put mugs on the coffee table and wipe the black hedgehog tears from his face. It's painful to see his beloved ones in pain especially the one who always by your side.

"Listen to me, Shads. If you at her place, the world could be destroyed. Remember how we saved the Earth.. together? I can't do it alone. I have you and our friends. So do you and now, you have me and him" Sonic look at his son. Shadow stare at Sonic green eyes shine so brightly reflect by moonlight.

"Maria in at good place right now. She's happy to see you safe, protecting Earth and enjoy your life" Sonic pull Shadow into a kiss took the red eyed hedgehog by surprise but return the kiss back. Pull away after a few minutes and Sonic found Shadow's face already red as his eyes.

"From now on, You can tell me about your nightmares. I don't want you carry all the pain alone.."

Shadow nods and ended up fall unconscious. His head fall on Sonic chest. Sonic panicked and noticed those dry tears on Shadow's cheeks. He manage to lay down Shadow on the bed again beside their son without waking the little hedgehog up. He cover three of them with warm blankets and fall asleep while watching his beloved one sleeping with a smile on his face.

"I love you, Shadow.."

"Love you too, Faker.."

Little did they know, a pain of blue eyes are watching them from the window. Her ghostly appearance make her unable to notice by people.    

"I never blame you, Shadow. I love you"
