Nick when he walks into the hospital to you in a coma

Nick didn't want to walk into your room. But, he wanted to see you in case you didn't make it.

"I'm sorry, that I wasn't there for you. That I took longer to come see you."

Nick felt upset,sad,and miserable. He couldn't stand the idea of you gone in body or mind.
