Mantle, the beginning point to the birth of Atlas, however with the birth of Atlas was the abandonment and forgotten history of Mantle. Because of this Mantle was given low quality living with little to no defenses except for a wall while Atlas floated up the sky away from the danger in luxury, Ironwood's soldiers patrolled the streets of Mantle with little to no care. Mantle took immediate notice and created their own police department knowing that Ironwood won't take the lives of the city seriously, within that department were men and women with the abilities to keep the city safe lowering the crime rate and keeping the rats at bay.

Right now a young man by the name of Y/n Chen was with an underground triad gang discussing the crime decrease in Mantle, he tapped his finger against the shot glass in his hand while he heard the Triad leader Lei discuss his plans to his elites.

Lei: "Our drug trades are in a slowing rate, we need to find another method of transporting the opium. Anyone have any ideas?"

Y/n: "How about go down the alley near the Smith's shop? It's a shorter route and it leads to three other alleys that are at the walls"

Lei: "Huh never thought of that...wait a minute, who are you again?"

Y/n: "I came from the other triad that you-"

One of the goons then shoved his hand in Y/n's jacket pocket and pulled out a MCPD (Mantle City Police Department) badge.

Goon: "The fuck is this?!"

Y/n snatched his badge and quickly struck his head in and ran off, Lei got up from his seat and got his gun.

Lei: "Get that fucker!"

Y/n maneuvered past some obstacles and was met with some guards, he knuckled up and started taking down the goons in the hallway. He landed a hard kick to the goon in front knocking everyone down behind him giving Y/n the chance to run on top of all of them, the young officer was then blocked off by another four goons. Y/n went for a hook to the head to the first, he hit the second one with a body shot and threw him to the side, he then hit the third goon with a very hard back kick dazing him and knocking him back, smashed the other goon's head with an axe kick and tossed the third injured goon to the side.

He then heard gunfire from behind him as a bullet hit the wall, he ducked in cover as he felt gunfire hit the metal table.

Lei: "You son of a bitch! You're not getting away with this!"

Y/n took out a gun from his holster under his jacket, he pulled the slide back loading a rubber bullet in the chamber. When Lei started reloading Y/n ran up and hit him upside the head with a kick with a steel toe boot and started blasting him with his pistol.

It didn't harm him as much with the rubber bullets but it still incapacitated him nevertheless. Y/n holstered his pistol.

Lei: "Okay you got me, now this is the part where you take me to the car and drive me to the police station or something?"

Y/n instead grabbed him and dragged him across the floor to a large window.

Lei: "W-Wait! What are you-"

Y/n threw Lei out of the window causing him to fall a one story drop and land onto his crumby ass car, he groaned hearing the police and ambulance sirens before passing out. Y/n came out of the building holstering his pistol going to his bike and watched the ambulance take Lei to the hospital.

As Y/n put on his helmet he was met with quite an aggravated police Lieutenant.

Y/n: "What?"

Lieutenant: "Two broken ribs from your rubber bullets, two missing molars from your steel toe boots which the chief specifically told you not to wear and a fractured skull and spine from that fall"

Y/n: "I did what I had to do, am I supposed to care for criminals or stop them?"

Lieutenant: "Kid if this is about him then-"

Y/n: "Really? You bring him up after what the fuck happened?"

The Lieutenant then realized what he said and was quick to apologize.

Lieutenant: "Y/n I'm sorry I-"

Y/n: "I've heard enough sorries from the department"

Y/n put on his goggles and drove to the police department, he felt the soothing winter air of mantle across his cheeks as he drove his bike through the road. He then parked in front of the police station but saw an armored truck from Atlas parked in the lot, Y/n groaned as he got off his bike.

Y/n: "What does that tin can General have to complain about us now?"

Y/n took off his helmet and goggles as he entered the building, he then saw the commissioner and Winter Schnee discussing with each other.

Y/n: "What's going on?"

Commissioner: "Inspector Chen, just in time"

Y/n: "What is this? Why is she here?"

Commissioner: "Well as usual Ironwood doesn't trust our department, he especially doesn't trust your actions"

Y/n: "Oh yeah? And why's that?"

Commissioner: "Isn't it obvious? You've hospitalized every criminal you've encountered in Mantle. Young man it's difficult enough that we not only have limited amount of people in this force but-"

Winter: "Commissioner please calm yourself, he may be a skilled officer but he is still young"

The Commissioner sighed as he then turned back to Y/n.

Commissioner: "Starting from today, you will be partnered with Specialist Schnee"

Y/n was taken aback, he then turned his head to the commissioner.

Y/n: "Are you shitting with me?"

Commissioner: "I'm afraid not Y/n, from now on you are going to be working with Winter Schnee"

Y/n stayed there for a second letting this all sink in, he then walked passed them and tossed his helmet to his desk out of anger going to the break room to get a coffee.

Winter: "He is a stubborn one is he?"

Commissioner: "He is, ever since the death of our previous Commissioner one in a half years ago he continued to work alone and use aggressive methods"

Winter: "Well...I hope that he will change when we work together"

The two watched Y/n working in his office, it was piled with different array of weapons from normal police weapons like pepper spray and tasers to his personal array of weapons such as steel knuckle, blast knuckle and a combat knife. It was also a piled mess with coffee cups, beer bottles and two cigarette boxes one empty and one half full. Winter shook her head in disappointment.

Winter: "It must've cut him deep"

Commissioner: "It did, but don't let that interfere with your reason being here"

Winter nodded acknowledging her reason being here.

Commissioner: "You two have an assignment tomorrow, have a good night"

Winter: "I've heard high praise of this police department, I hope you don't disappoint"

Winter left the department leaving the Commissioner and Y/n in the building, the Commissioner watched Y/n fill in the reports.

Commissioner: "What are you doing?"

Y/n: "I am finishing the last reports, I may be a disobedient son of a bitch but I do care for this department"

The Commissioner pat his shoulder and felt Y/n's soften up a bit, he sighed with sympathy for the young man.

Commissioner: "I know you miss him, I miss him as well. We must continue to honor his memory"

Y/n: "...I'll close in for tonight, you go first. Isn't your wife and daughter waiting for you?"

Commissioner chuckled as he pat Y/n's shoulder.

Commissioner: "Alright then kid, I'll see you tomorrow for your first mission with Schnee"

Y/n nodded as the Commissioner left the keys on his desk, when he did Y/n finished the reports and went on a personal mission of his. He went to a recording in a CCTV in one of Mantle's alleyway, he rewinded and paused at a point. His hands gripped into a fist as he saw the picture of an old criminal that terrorized the streets of Mantle.

Y/n: "You've got some nerve coming back here...Tyrian Callows"

Winter sat on a velvet couch in her penthouse, she was in a white bathrobe coming out of a shower. She took a look out to a view of Mantle, she then thought of Y/n's state. It reminded her of her own mother after her marriage, she was isolated, drunk and just simply sorrowful. She left the thought in the back of her head as she dressed in her nightwear and went to bed.

Y/n and Winter were in the mission room in their undercover civilian clothes listening to the task that is needed to be done, Winter took a quick look of Y/n flipping his knife in his hand as he listened to the mission report before returning her attention to the Commissioner.

Commissioner: "There is going to be a drug dealing in the west point of Mantle at two pm sharp, go undercover to apprehend the dealer and find out where he is getting what he is selling. Dismissed"

Y/n slid the double edged knife into the sheath on his boot locking it in place, the two got up and left the room to the parking lot. Y/n went to his bike and put on his helmet.

Winter: "What are you doing?"

Y/n turned back to Winter putting on his goggles.

Y/n: "I'm going on my vehicle"

Winter: "Can you drive me there?"

Y/n: "Hell the fuck no I'm not"

Winter: "Then how am I getting to our location?"

Y/n: "Don't you Atlas folks get whatever the hell you want? Why don't you get a car like a mustang or Trans Am or something?"

Winter: "Atlas doesn't work like that Inspector Chen"

Y/n groaned as he went to the back and got another helmet for Winter.

Y/n: "Just get on"

Winter put the helmet on and got to the back seat of the bike and held onto Y/n, the young officer revved up the engines and drove off. Winter looked in the streets of Mantle seeing the people trying to survive the cold and tend their families, she realized what Inspector Chen and the other citizens have to go through in Mantle. They then stopped to the location of the place where the drug trade is taking place.

Y/n: "Block off any area that leads out of this alley"

Winter: "What about you?"

Y/n: "I'll do the hard part"

Y/n and Winter waited patiently staking out the potential dealer, he then saw a man in a trench coat enter the alleyway in a car with two guys entering on foot. Y/n and Winter walked quietly to the side of the alley listening into their conversation.

Buyer 1: "Did you get us what we want Leung?"

Leung: "Of course I did, I even got the bonus you two requested"

Buyer: "Where is the bonus?"

Leung opened the trunk to reveal a box of crack cocain the Commissioner's own daughter gagged and tied, the two buyers sneered as they watched the mascara mess of a girl cry under the cloth helplessly. Y/n however heard that said cry and his heart became relentless. Y/n quietly reported to Winter.

Y/n: "Change of plans, they have the Commissioner's own fucking daughter"

Winter: "We need to isolate her from the other two"

Y/n: "I'm going in, can you give me cover?"

Winter: "Yes"

Y/n: "Alright let's go"

Y/n came out of the cover and took out his pistol.

Y/n: "Step away from the girl and get on your knees with your hands behind your head!"

Buyer: "Oh shit!"

The two buyers took out their own hand guns and fired only for their bullets to be stopped by a glyph, Y/n shot the two buyers taking them down but the dealer went into his car and drove off. Y/n was now in hot pursuit of the dealer while Winter tended with the Commissioner's daughter.

Y/n tailed the speeding car, he knew he had to stop the car one way or another. He then came with a crazy idea, he waited till they went to a more isolated area and shot the tire with a normal bullet.

The car skidded into a lamppost wrecking the side of it, Leung got out a bit shook from the blow. He then stop dazing and ran off to the outdoor, Y/n chased him down. Leung then vaulted over a railing and safety rolled and ran down.

Y/n: "Damn this, he's not slowing down"

Y/n then hopped onto the railing and lunged forward it for better range and safety rolled twice for good measure and went back into a run.

The two then make it to the Chinatown of Mantle, Leung ran passed some boxes while Y/n just wall hopped passed, Leung hopped off a table and flipped it over which Y/n smashed in with a back kick.

Leung got back up while Y/n unholstered his pistol and aimed it at Leung.

Y/n: "Get down on the ground with your hands behind your head!"

Leung: "Why? For doing business to make a lot of cash?"

Y/n: "You sold a large box of illegal drugs and you kidnapped the Commissioner's daughter your crazy fuck!"

Leung: "Business is business, that bitch would've serviced the triad bosses better than those crack heads"

Y/n's blood started to boil, this chase...no, this fight became personal. Y/n holstered his pistol and squared up putting on his knuckle duster and his blast knuckle.

Y/n went for ecstatic and fast punches to the face and devastating kicks to body, Leung blocked a few incoming attacks but wasn't able to keep up with the Police Specialist. Leung threw a jab and a kick which Y/n blocked then he put Leung in a clinch throwing knee after knee to his chest, Leung broke out of the clinch and hit a cross to Y/n's mid section and a hook to the jaw. Y/n ducked under Leung's kick and hit him two times in his beaten rib cage with two hooks with his steel knuckles which Y/n finished with a Muay Thai roundhouse kick knocking Leung to the side.

Y/n then threw quick jabs with his blast knuckle electrifying Leung with every hit and finished him with a cross with his steel knuckle, Y/n then ran up and used a suplex to slam Leung to the ground.

Leung got up a few seconds later, Y/n looked like he would kill him at the very moment. Leung then charged in pushing Y/n back which Y/n countered with a knee to Leung's face, he then kicked Leung's knee cap snapping it out of it's socket and grabbed Leung running him into a wall and started to beat him into a pulp.

The crowd watched in horror as Y/n brutally beat Leung to a bloody mess, Y/n cursed at Leung in Canto as his fingers underneath both knuckles started to get skinned from the friction. He stopped his barrage of punches and held his side, he may have been the better fighter by Leung was no pushover. Winter then entered the scene and saw the result of Y/n's actions, she gasped in horror to see how much damage Leung took from Y/n. Winter looked at Y/n infuriated as he cleaned the blood off his hands.

Winter: "What. Did. You. Do"

Y/n: "I did what I had to do"

Winter: "You beat him to the point where he's unrecognizable!"

Y/n: "He's alive isn't he?"

Winter then blew her fuse.

Winter: "What is wrong with you?! You've brutalized and even almost killed every singe criminal you've encountered with no mercy! Have you no-"

Y/n: "You've got no right to judge! Mantle is full of scumbags that you posh fuckwits in Atlas did literally nothing about when Mantle was in the shits. I did what I can to not only stop these scumbags but set an example on what happens when they do shit like what he did, because the Mantle Police Department is the only line of defense Mantle has..."

Y/n pocketed his knuckle duster as he dried his hands.

Y/n: "Let me make something clear: I will do whatever I can to stop anyone in Mantle and I will damn well die or kill someone if I have to protect my home, stay the fuck out of my way or go back to Schnee Manor in Atlas"

Y/n walked past Winter and walked to his bike as an ambulance went to pick up Leung's unconscious body, Winter just didn't know how to get through his head. She then had an idea who would, she summoned a large lancer and flew it to the station.

Inspector Chen right at this moment was in his apartment building, he was snoring on the floor of his living room, his weapons scattered on the floor and an empty whisky bottle on the floor. Y/n woke up from his alcohol induced sleep by his phone ringing, he picked up the phone and answered the call.

Y/n: "Hello?"

Commissioner: "Hello Inspector Chen"

Y/n: "Morning Commissioner, how is your daughter?"

Commissioner: "She is recovering well, thank you for asking Y/n"

Y/n got up and yawned as he pressed his phone against his ear.

Y/n: "Sorry I'm late I'll be on my way right-"

Commissioner: "Actually I want you to take a day off"

Y/n then had a confused look on his face.

Y/n: "What? But I can come and work still chief I-"

Commissioner: "I know kid but stay home and rest, that's an order"

Y/n groaned but obliged.

Y/n: "Yes sir"

Y/n then hung up the phone, he went to his kitchen and started frying bacon for a sandwich.

(Bacon helps with hangovers because they're greasy)

He ate sandwich, washed up and got into some casual clothes. He holstered his pistol into his jacket and left his apartment complex, he got on his Harley and rode near the walls of Mantle. He then parked in front of a row of buildings and entered a mahjong house, the people all looked towards Y/n to their shock.

???: "Y/n? What are you-"

Y/n: "I need info Wei Shen"

Shen: "What makes you think we will give you any info after you left us?"

Y/n: "You know I had to for the sake of Mantle, it's defenseless and we are the only proper line of defense. I did everything I could to keep the department away from you and you know this, you owe me Shen and you owe me big time"

Shen sighed as he slammed his hand against his table, he reluctantly agreed.

Shen: "Fine, put up your dukes"

Y/n: "You're still using that rule?"

Shen: "Family ritual player"

Shen went to the tile floor while Y/n took off his jacket going in a tank top, removed his weapons from his legs and took off his steel toe boots.

Shen: "You ready?"

Y/n: "Let's go"

Y/n started bouncing from his spot and threw a barrage of punches which Shen started to block, Shen then went for a Muay Thai round house knocking Y/n to the side.

Y/n: "For a fifty five year old you've still got it

Shen: "You haven't gotten soft either kid"

Y/n threw a feint but it didn't fool Shen, so Y/n went for two jabs which Shen blocked and a back kick to Shen's chest. Shen then started to go at Y/n's legs which Y/n blocked with his shins, Shen then put Y/n in a clinch. Shen threw knee after knee towards Y/n as the Inspector was forced to block them, Y/n then grabbed Shen's arm and judo threw him and went into an arm bar. Shen was able to get out of it and got back on his feet, however Y/n was sitting on the floor and had a smug smile on his face.

Y/n: "Come on boss come on!"

Shen: "No! Nobody got time for that!"

Y/n: "Come on man!"

Y/n then swept him to the floor and forced Shen into the splits causing the crowd to wince, Shen had a pained face as he tapped on the tiled floor. Y/n just smirked as him and a gangster helped Wei Shen off of his position.

Y/n: "You okay?"

Shen *strained*: "Yep! Gotta sit down"

Y/n helped him on a table.

Y/n: "How bout a I get us two beers and we talk this over?"

Shen massaged his thighs.

Shen: "Sure

Y/n went to the mini fridge and got two bottles of beers and sat down in front of Shen the two enjoyed a beer.

Shen: "So...what do you need to know?"

Y/n: "I need to know if there is gonna be any major events in the next few days"

Shen: "Why do you need to know that?"

Y/n passed Shen a picture of the same photo of the CCTV, Shen's eyes widened in shock.

Shen: "Tyrian is back?"

Y/n: "Yes, he's back in Mantle and he's here for blood. I need to know if there are any major events happening and keep watch in case of Tyrian is going to be there.

Shen: "There is going to be an election party, Robyn is running and her Happy Huntresses are going to be there"

Y/n: "Well shit, Robyn running?"

Shen: "Against Jacques, why don't you know this kid?"

Y/n: "I'm not a man of politics, but when is this gonna happen?"

Shen: "A week in a half from now...and uh, there is something you need to know Y/n"

Y/n: "Huh? What would that be?"

Shen looked around to see if anyone was near them apart from them, he then turned back to Y/n.

Shen: "Tyrian isn't the only guy who's back, Arthur Watts was rumored to be found as well"

Y/n: "Wait the scientist? I thought he was dead or something?"

Shen: "That's what I thought as well, but he was found alive and well"

Y/n: "You think the two are working together?"

Shen: "Most definitely, it's not a coincidence that both are here"

Y/n: "Shit..."

Y/n finished his beer and got up from his seat.

Shen: "Y/n wait"

Y/n turned back.

Y/n: "What is it?"

Shen then pulled out something from his pocket, it was Y/n's old weapon when he was under Shen's wings.

Y/n: "This is my baton, you kept it?"

Shen: "Of course I did, I kept it as a reminder of you kid. If you're gonna fight Tyrian you'll need something that you're comfortable with"

Y/n extended the baton, he swung it in the air getting used to it and feeling it out. He felt his old self coming back as he swung it around, he clipped it onto his belt.

Y/n: "Thanks Shen"

Shen: "It's no problem kid, come 'ere"

Y/n two did a bro hug before, the two broke the hug and Shen pat Y/n's shoulder.

Shen: "Just be careful kid, okay?"

Y/n: "I will"

Y/n put his weapons back onto his person and put on his jacket and boots, he then exited the building with the CCTV picture in hand.

Y/n: "Time to inform the commissioner"

Winter: "Took you long enough"

Y/n then jumped out of his skin as he turned to see Winter Schnee siting on a bench.

Y/n: "What the hell are you doing here?!"

Winter: "I followed you of course"

Y/n: "Why?"

Winter: "Why is the same question I wanted to ask you"

Winter got off the bench and turned to Y/n.

Winter: "Why would a hungover police officer doing with a former triad gang?"

Y/n: "That's none of your damn business"

Winter: "Really?"

Winter then took the CCTV photo out of Y/n's hand.

Y/n: "Hey!"

Winter: "You've been hunting a presumed dead serial killer? And didn't tell me or even your own-"

Y/n snatched the photo away from Winter.

Y/n: "You don't fucking understand, this scumbag took someone away from me and I'm coming after him for vengeance. This is what you Atlas punks don't understand, you've got riches, protection, strong defenses, but there is something you Atlas assholes will never ever have"

Winter: "Is that so? And what would that be"

Y/n went up to her face.

Y/n: "A stable family, something that you Atlas folks seem to lack"

Y/n turned away and went back onto his bike and drove off, but this time Winter chased Y/n down on a Beowulf. Y/n smirked knowing she's got no chance.

Y/n: "This is my city Schnee, try to keep up!"

Y/n swerved and maneuvered through the city, he knew this entire district like the back of his hand and knew every hidden cuts and crannies in Mantle. He drove into a alley and drove through it, his main goal was to get to his apartment complex. He then parked in the parking lot and used his parkour skills to get to his room, he closed his window and took a breath.

Y/n: "Finally, I lost her"

Winter: "Don't celebrate too early Inspector Chen"

Y/n turned his head to see Winter on his couch. Y/n was in just shock, soon his pent up frustration became anger.

Y/n: "Get the fuck out of my home"

Winter just sighed in disappointment and got up, she had a genuine look in her eye.

Winter: "What happened back then, what was it that drove you to be this man you are now?"

Y/n: "What does that matter to you?"

Winter: "I'm your partner not your sitter, I want to know what happened back then. The Commissioner himself said that you were a different person after what happened, so please tell me Inspector"

Y/n just looked down and shook his head.

Y/n: "You're so damn persistent you know that?"

Winter: "Is that a yes?"

Y/n: "...Yeah"

Y/n made coffee for the both of them.

Y/n: "Before all this I was part of a triad gang in Mantle, we didn't do anything to the innocent people but we did steal from Atlas supply trucks. Then we heard that Mantle now has their first police department so we kept it low, but one night when we tried to steal a cargo truck an a few but skilled officers came and stopped us..."

Y/n gave Winter the mug which she accepted, Y/n looked down in his mug.

Y/n: "...I was caught by a Specialist, he gave me a choice of rotting in jail or join the department to have a better life and protect Mantle. I decided to not rot in jail and join the department, the same specialists helped me hone my skill and in four months time I completed my training and went to the streets going on different missions, tasks and chases. He was my mentor and was with me through thick and thin...but one mission took Leone away from Remnant"

Winter: "Wait Leone? Leone Kennedy?"

Y/n: "Yep, after he stopped a Grimm infection back at Raccoon City he decided to join the police force here. He was killed by Tyrian when we were trying to bring him to justice two years ago, then again you Atlas folks are heavily defended and have the military's protection. You wouldn't get what kind of hardships we have to go through"

Y/n sipped his coffee tasting the bitter drink before putting his mug down, he then felt a hand on his shoulder.

Winter: "I don't know how it goes in Mantle but I do understand loss, when I was a lieutenant many of my friends died out in the field I always wanted revenge. I understand how much he must've meant to you Inspector"

Y/n: "Then you know why I have to do this, not only for the safety of the people of Mantle but to also finally have closure"

Winter: "I know, which is why I won't stop you. In fact, let me help you"

Y/n then looked at Winter.

Y/n: "Really?"

Winter nodded.

Winter: "I have nothing better to do and besides, it's for the safety of Mantle and for your well being..."

Winter then brought her hand out to shake.

Winter: "Peace?"

Y/n smiled a bit and shook her hand.

Y/n: "Peace"

On that day Y/n and Winter's partnership solidified, they became an amazing duo in the field and even took out a triad together in three days. Outside of work hours Y/n and Winter researched and watched Tyrian's every move finding out a way to catch him at the election party without much casualties, Winter helped Y/n to hunt for Tyrian and helped him cope from Leone's death. The two grew closer and closer in every mission and every late night stay at the station, right now Winter and Y/n was leaving the station to the election party. Y/n was nervous of what will happen during the election party, he was flipping his combat knife trying to distract himself. Winter stopped it and held onto the knife.

Winter: "You're going to cut yourself Y/n"

Y/n: "How am I supposed to ease the nerves? What if someone dies? What if I mess this up? What if I-"

Winter put a finger on Y/n's lips causing him to blush.

Winter: "Don't worry so much, I'll be by your side every step of the way tonight"

Y/n: "T-Thanks"

Winter then held onto his hand and walked with him.

Y/n: "You don't have to hold my hand"

Winter: "But I want to, can't have you looking like a nervous wreck yes?"

Y/n: "...Yeah you're right, thank you Specialist Schnee"

Winter: "Winter is fine Y/n"

Y/n and Winter entered the building where the party is being hosted, the two kept watch of the party. Y/n kept his hands above his waist as he pat his arm with his right hand, Winter occasionally came to check on him to see if he is doing alright.

Y/n and Winter listened to the speech Robyn was giving.

Winter: "I think Robyn would be a great councilwoman don't you think?"

Y/n: "Her heart and mind are in the right-"

Y/n then caught something in the corner of his eye, he saw a man in a brown coat and the back moved slowly and revealed a metal stinger. Y/n's eyes widened.

Y/n/Ruby: "It's Tyrian!"

The lights then went out and the doors auto locked letting Tyrian reveal himself, he killed three people around him. Y/n immediately took out a taser from his holster and hit him directly onto his back stunning Tyrian.

Y/n: "Winter get everyone out!"

Winter: "What about you?!"

Y/n: "Just go!"

Winter forced open the doors as citizens ran out, the Serial Killer of Mantle recovered and he saw Y/n causing him to just laugh in delight.

Tyrian: "What a familiar face!"

Y/n: "You know damn well who I am you crazy son of a bitch"

Y/n took out his blast and steel knuckle readying to cave into Tyrian's skull, Tyrian ran and struck his stinger towards Y/n. he ducked under and threw a uppercut with the steel and a cross with a blast of electricity, Y/n then used his palm to block a stinger attack from Tyrian and then kicked his ribs in with a triple kick.

Tyrian knocked back to the wall and held on to his chest.

Tyrian: "Well, you certainly got better over the years"

Y/n ran up for a flying knee but Tyrian rolled out of the way, Y/n started throwing a barrage of punches to his face and kicks to his legs. Tyrian cut his abs with his arm blade but left him open for a hook to the jaw from Y/n, Tyrian went to swing his arm blade at Y/n but the young specialist countered with a back kick bringing Tyrian to the ground.

Y/n unholstered his gun loaded with normal bullets, before he can fire Tyrian swung his tail at Y/n's head not cutting his but smashing his head at the base of the stinger bringing Y/n to the ground. Y/n groaned as he felt his head pulsate from the impact, Tyrian held his side as he laughed a bit.

Tyrian: "You are still that hot headed teenager from the slums of Mantle, Kennedy would be very-"

Tyrian then dodged a sword of a Gigus summon from Winter, she then picked up Y/n's gun and fired at Tyrian forcing him to escape. The summon disappeared as Winter put her attention to Y/n.

Winter: "Inspector Chen! Y/n get up come on!"

Y/n was unresponsive, she put her ear to his heart checking if it still beating. She then felt Y/n's head throbbing like crazy from the impact of the stinger, she turned to Marrow.

Winter: "Call an ambulance! Now!"

Marrow: "On it!"

Winter helped Y/n up as he groaned in pain, she laid his head down to her lap as he slowly started to pass out.

Winter: "You're going to be okay"

The drowning sounds of sirens filled his ears as he slowly passed out.

-timeskip-

Y/n woke up with a splitting headache, he put his hand on his head to feel bandages wrapped on his head. He got up from the bed only to feel nauseous, he felt it coming out and started puking in the trash can. He sat down on the bed feeling a little bit better, he looked at his surrounding. It was a nice home, it had paintings, a velvet couch and a beautiful view in the window.

Y/n: "Wait a minute"

He looked out from the window to see the entire view of Mantle under him, he realized that he was in Atlas in a penthouse of some kind. He then heard footsteps coming close to him revealing Winter.

Winter: "You shouldn't be out of bed Y/n"

Y/n: "Tyrian is still out there I need to stop him"

Winter: "In the state you're in I cannot let you out in the field"

Y/n: "I don't care, Tyrian is still out there and will continue to terrorize the innocent people of Mantle"

Winter: "You'll lose!"

Y/n: "Then I'll take him with me! I told you once and I'll say it again: I'll die and kill for the city that I was raised in when deemed necessary"

Y/n tried to walk past her but Winter stopped him and pushed him back.

Winter: "You'll have to get through me Y/n"

Y/n carelessly ran towards Winter trying to fight her only to bring him down to the ground causing him to groan from the pain.

Winter: "Stay down Y/n"

Y/n tried throwing a punch which Winter caught and he tried again but his hand got caught. Y/n groaned as his head started to throb.

Winter: "Please stop Y/n..."

Y/n: "I can't fail again Winter, not after what happened, not when he's still out there"

Y/n continued to struggle against Winter, she knew he wasn't going to stop no matter what she did. Out of desperation she pressed her lips against his, Y/n eyes widened in shock that he just froze not melting into the kiss and yet not retaliating. Winter looked at him with soft blue eyes.

Winter: "You will stop Tyrian but with this minor concussion you can't fight at all, I refuse to let you die Y/n not like this. Please rest for Mantle's sake and for my sake. I love you too much to let you go out there like this"

Y/n looked surprised, he never thought that someone like Winter can fall in love with someone like him. He knew that the two of them were close but not this close, nevertheless that didn't stop him from feeling the same way for Winter. He nodded accepting the rest he needs.

Y/n: "Okay, I'll rest"

Winter: "Thank you"

Winter helped him up the bed and helped him in more comfortable clothes, the two laid in bed together under the sheets. Winter hugged Y/n close as he relaxed under the crook of Winter's neck, Winter stroked Y/n's hair as the young inspector snuggled close to her like a puppy.

Winter: "I never thought you'd be so clingy"

Y/n: "I didn't think so too, guess you learn something about yourself every time"

Winter stroked her thumb against his chin as he rested his bandaged head against her.

Winter: "I'll be there for you and for Mantle to the best of my abilities, I promise"

Y/n: "I trust you Winter, ever since we started properly working together"

She kissed his forehead before falling sleeping with him, the two slept in the view of the shattered moon in each other's arms, in love.

Y/n woke up the next morning, he still felt like shit from last night but it was better than before. He then saw the woman with snow white hair right in front of him, he stroked the hair out of her face to see her beautiful face. He caressed her cheek feeling her fair skin against his rugged hand, he then felt a hand hold onto that said hand as Winter opened her eyes revealing her beautiful blue eyes.

Winter: "Hello darling"

Y/n: "Morning Winter"

Winter gave him a peck on the forehead causing him to smile.

Winter: "Ready to get up?"

Y/n: "Sure"

Winter and Y/n left the bed, they headed to the kitchen where they made breakfast together. Winter had a toast, two eggs and an apple while Y/n had a toast, two strips of bacon, an egg and yogurt and both of them had a cup of black coffee. The two ate at the kitchen counter, Winter handed him a pill.

Y/n: "What's this?"

Winter: "It's a pill that should stop the effects of your concussion, it only lasts for twelve hours but then again that is how long it'll take you to bring Tyrian to justice"

Y/n: "Winter I can't thank you enough, for all of this. Helping me find Tyrian, helping me cope and lending me this pill. I hate to admit it but I don't think I'll be where I am at now without you"

Winter: "Anything for you Y/n, you bettered so much over the time we worked together. I'm glad I have a partner like you"

Y/n swallowed the pill and downed it with a cup of water.

Winter: "The effects take a few minutes to adjust"

Y/n: "Okay thanks for the heads up"

Winter: "How about we go to the station and plan out how we are going to find Tyrian"

Y/n: "Alright"

Y/n and Winter cleaned and washed up, the two outside to the bulkhead landing zone. Instead of an old transportation bulkhead a heavily armored bulkhead landed, on the side marked snowflake of the Schnee family.

Y/n: "Private vehicle?"

Winter: "Yes, yes it is. It always felt...lonely when I rode this myself, now I get to ride it with my boyfriend"

Y/n blushed not used to the title as they entered the bulkhead.

Y/n and Winter were in with the other officers and the Commissioner during the board meeting.

Commissioner: "This crazy son of a bitch is back! How long has it been? Two years? Four? A decade? He just comes out of nowhere without warning"

Officer: "How should we find him?"

Commissioner: "I don't know, but I will update you all when I get the chance. Dismissed"

The officers, Winter and Y/n left the office room, the Inspector took out his phone and revealed a tracker that is stuck on Tyrian tail. Y/n showed Winter.

Winter: "You were able to get a tracker on Tyrian? Well done"

Y/n: "He seems to be settling in one place, which is quite odd for a wanted criminal"

Winter: "Maybe he knows that you have a tracker on him, maybe he wants you to come at him yourself"

Y/n: "He also has nothing to fear, making him a much more dangerous person"

Winter: "We need to take him out as soon as possible"

Y/n started to think, how can he pin Tyrian down not letting him escape.

Y/n: "...Okay I got an idea"

-timeskip-

Winter: "Are you sure this is going to work?"

Y/n: "Tyrian is a hunter, he just wants a game. I'll give him one last game before I put him away for good"

Winter: "Okay stay safe, I love you"

Y/n: "I love you too"

Y/n was walking in an alleyway as his jacket flowed to the cold Mantle wind, he saw Tyrian waiting for him at the end of it under the light illuminating the night. Tyrian grinned in glee as he readied his arm blades scrapping it against the brick walls causing sparks to bounce off the wall, Y/n on the other hand pulled out his baton and retracted it.

Y/n looked at him, no anger, no pain, no nervousness, he just wanted things to get over with. Tyrian then screeched as he charged at Y/n making Y/n charge at him as well, the two slashed and clashed their weapon against each other creating blurs of silver in the air. Y/n struck against Tyrian's blade, wrist and arms trying to bruise him badly.

Tyrian hooked Y/n's weapon to try and pull it away but Y/n kept a hard grip on his baton, Y/n pulled Tyrian and hit him in the stomach with his knee and bashed his head in with his baton. Tyrian recovered and tried to cut him at the face, but because of the baton's longer reach Y/n was able to stop the incoming attack by striking his armpit with the point of the baton intercepting the blade and broke some of his ribs by smashing them with his baton. Tyrian stepped back holding onto his side.

Tyrian: "You know, I never thought I would be outplayed by a novice"

Y/n: "I'm not eighteen anymore Callows"

Tyrian ran at him again swinging his arm blades at him, Y/n blocked and caught his wrist using the sai guards on his baton. Y/n then grabbed the straps and ripped the blades off Tyrian's arm, Y/n threw him onto the ground with a throw and started beating Tyrian with his baton breaking off his other blade. Before he can continue his attacks Tyrian stung his forearm causing Y/n to yell in pain and drop his weapon, before Tyrian can recover Y/n pulled out his gun and shot him in the face with a tear gas pellet blinding him. Y/n took out a syringe from his jacket pocket and stabbed near his wound injecting it with Atlas' newest healing formula, the wound slowly started to seal as Y/n wrapped his arms with bandages.

Y/n: "You're still one slippery son of a bitch"

Tyrian rubbed his eyes slowly recovering from the tear gas, Y/n on the other hand slid his combat knife out of its sheath holding it in an ice pick grip.

Tyrian: "Ooooooooo! What fun!"

Tyrian ran at Y/n at full speed, Y/n ducked under the stinger and cut Tyrian's thigh. Y/n then proceeded to slash and stab at Tyrian, Y/n caught an incoming punch from Tyrian and trapped him with the knife cutting into his skin. Y/n then flipped the knife and stabbed at Tyrian causing Tyrian to block it.

Tyrian: "So desperate for the kill!"

Y/n let the knife fall and caught the knife slicing Tyrian's chest, Y/n saw the stinger coming causing him to weave away. Y/n caught a loose end at Tyrian's stinger in the corner of his eye, Y/n dodged another sting and this time sliced the stinger off clean and kicked Tyrian away. Tyrian looked at his tail to see the stinger missing.

Tyrian: "You bastard!"

Y/n sheathed his knife.

Y/n: "Bring it on psycho!"

Tyrian tackled Y/n to the ground and went for a ground and pound, Y/n created distance by pushing Tyrian away with his legs and put him into a triangle choke. Y/n gripped Tyrian's arm tightly as he choked Tyrian out with his legs, Tyrian lifted Y/n and slammed him on his back making Y/n let go. Y/n kicked Tyrian away and got up, Y/n threw fast punches and devastating knees and kicks to Tyrian's already broken ribs.

Y/n then scissor swept Tyrian and put him into a leg lock, Y/n put Tyrian's foot under his armpit and twisted causing his ankle to dislocate and pop out. Tyrian yelled in pain as he lost feeling of his foot, the inspector ground and pounded Tyrian. He felt his consciousness leave his mind as Y/n continue to beat the living hell out of him. Tyrian pushed him off and regained consciousness, Y/n charged in with a devastating hook and downed Tyrian with an arm bar.

Y/n angled the arm as Tyrian tried to break away from the jiujitsu hold, Y/n then popped his elbow joint out of it's socket causing Tyrian to yell in pain.
Y/n rolled backwards away from Tyrian as he tried to recover, Tyrian was battered and broken from Inspector Chen's attacks and was unable to go at Y/n any longer. Y/n ran in for a triple kick sleeping Tyrian for good.

-scene change-

Winter waited with the police backed up in case things go wrong, she pressed onto her ear piece.

Winter: "Y/n are you there?"

Y/n: "Yep, I'm-"

She then heard groaning from the other end, she then ran in to the location with some officers behind her. They entered the scene to see a broken and battered Tyrian and a puking Inspector Chen,

Winter: "Call in a transport for Tyrian and bring a medic"

The officers took Tyrian away as Y/n wiped his mouth after puking, Winter pat Y/n's back as he puked into the trash can that was conveniently in the alleyways.

Winter: "Take your time inspector"

Y/n: "No I think I'm good I think I'm-"

His stomach lurched again as he puked into the trash can, he then stopped and took some deep breaths.

Winter: "Better?"

Y/n: "Yeah, thank you Specialist Schnee"

The two watched as Tyrian was taken into the transport and taken to Atlas for imprisonment while Y/n was given some medication and his wounds were properly cared for. Winter came in to check on Y/n.

Winter: "How's your head"

Y/n: "It hurts like a bitch"

Winter laughed a bit as she sat down next to Y/n.

Winter: "I want to say good job bringing Tyrian in"

Y/n: "I couldn't have done it without your help"

Y/n then crunched a small breath mint in his mouth.

Winter: "A breath mint?"

Y/n: "Yeah"

Winter: "What do you need-"

Y/n went in for a kiss surprising Winter, she didn't hesitate to accept the sweet kiss from Y/n. The two broke a kiss looking into each other's eyes.

Y/n: "I love you Winter"

Winter: "I love you too"
