Adrien's POV:

     I  sigh as I hear them call my group number.

    Once aboard the plane, I put my phone on airplane mode. It dawns on me I forgot to tell Marinette I love her. I hope she will not misunderstand.

    I do love her. Honest.

   I am a bit hurt she thought I broke my promise to her.

      The plane was delayed.

       I  sent her a text to remind her I love her.

       I hope she will still want to date me when the plane lands.

      I have been looking forward to seeing her all week.

        A few hours later the plane finally lands. I get off, enter the Paris International Airport, and find my luggage.

        I turn the phone off airplane mode once I am near the exit.

        "Marinette, I am back. I am on my way m'lady."

         I  am glad I have the jewelry I found on my trip with me.

        I hope it will reassure her.

        I wonder if should have not gotten flowers too.

          I take the taxi that arrives at her place.

          I ring the doorbell.

          I smile when she answers it.

         I set my suitcase by the door.

         I pull her close and kiss her.

          I get out the jewelry and hand it to her.

          As she opens it, I get on one knee, "Marinette, I know I am late, on our anniversary of dating for so two years, but please hear me out. I love you as my girlfriend, best friend, my everything, my princess, and m'lady.  So, will you marry me?"

          I smile as she wraps her arms around my waist.

         "Yes!"  I hear her say and slide the ring on her finger.

         The two of us celebrate with cookies and milk. I know it is the ideal celebration but what do you expect when I got back to her place at 4 am the day after I planned to initially arrive back home? 

           It was too early for anything else and too late for what I originally had planned.

           It was alright because I have her and she has me.

         It is all I need to be happy.
