Gray Stop It part 2 two-shot by Summer Cheng (@SummerCheng37)

Description:  The story continues where part 1 left off.  Has Gray given up as it seems?

        Juvia's  POV:

I  roll my eyes as he approaches my place.  Great, it is him again.

I hear his foolish attempts to serenade me with his music.

I might have yelled at him to leave.  I cannot help the fact I cannot stand him.

I mean, he has got to be the least romantic person I know.

The next day, at school, he reads some horrible poem.

I frown as my friends clap.  It is like they take joy in my suffering.

It is bad enough my father abuses me, my mother died, and now this.

I need him to leave me alone.

I hear him mutter something about all his attempts being in vain.

Yes, perhaps he has given up after all.

Much to my relief, my locker contains no new notes from him.

I head onto the graveyard as it is the thing I do every Thursday after class.

I stand before my mother's grave and lay the letter I wrote for her at the foot of it.

"Mother, you do not know all the dreadful things I have been through since you died."

"Father takes it out on me after he has been drinking.  Then, there is this boy who will not seem to leave me alone."

I sigh as I lay the pitiful rose down.

I feel as if it resembles my life now.

I turn to go but almost pass out from lack of nourishment.

"Juvia, let me get you something to eat."

I look up to see who caught me.

It is the boy I hate.

I do not say a word.

   I follow him.

Soon, I am seated at a kitchen table, and he places some nourishment in front of me.

I try it, but do not tell him it is good.

I feel so bad for how I treated him.

"Here, let me take care of that for you."

I watch in amazement as he gathers up the bowl, the plate, silverware, and glass and proceeds to wash them.

I feel him put some save on my left eye and a patch.

"There, now it is as good as new."

    I cry.

"Gray, why did you help me?"

    "I  like to help people."

I stood up. I did something I never dreamed of at all.

I hugged him.  To my surprise, he hugged me back.

It has been weeks, since then, and we have been friends ever since.

  the end...

 Until the next two-shot story,

bye-bye, little owlets!

Summer out!
