Description 

      This part continues where the first half left off. So, if you haven't read the other part, I advise you read it first.

    Lucy's  POV:

     I  shrug my shoulders.  Natsu was so sweet not to give me a fine.

   "Wait, a minute, he insulted me.  How dare he say my place is a fire hazard?"

     "Hmph, I will show him."

      "Then, he will be sorry."

        I make sure to clean up my mess.

        I dump the fire pit embers into an old bucket and pour water from my hose on them.

      Much to my relief, they fizzle out without any problems.  I fix the troublesome porch, the leaky faucet, and the back stove burner.  I clean the coils in the oven to be on the safe side.

       I made repairs to a few other minor things as well.

     The next day, I hear Gray scream at Natsu,  "Fire boy, get back this instant."

    I roll my eyes. " Now, what has Natsu gotten himself into?"

     It seems he has taken this fire chief thing rather seriously even though it is only for a temporary position.

       I think he is cute. His policies may be strict, but I am sure he means well.

        I run closely behind him as he leaves for Lisanna's house. Perhaps, I can warn her before he arrives.

      "Lisanna?"

      "What is it, Lucy?  Why are you all out of breath?"   

     "I came here to let you know.  Natsu has gone bonkers."

       "Whatever do you mean, Lucy?"

     "I mean, he is coming to inspect your house."

     "My house, what, for?"

     "To see if there are any fire hazards to warn you about that need fixing."

       "Lucy, I am sure it is not all that bad."

         I  stand there and shake my head at her. It is almost as if she was not listening.

        I see Natsu arrive. Sure enough, he takes a look around. When he finishes, he frowns.

      "Lisanna, I am surprised. You violate the health and safety code 476. "

        I watch her flirt shamelessly with him.  Ugh, what does he see in her?

       I am not jealous, am I?  

      Pfft, why would  I be jealous of her? 

       I  see him flirt back.

    How dare he!

    I wait until he leaves, and I  chase after him slamming the door on my way out.

     "Natsu, how could you?"

     I run over to him in tears. I slap him across the face twice.

  "Let go of me, you traitorous pig!" I yell as he grabs my hands.

    "Lucy, calm down!"

   "Calm down, but you flirted with Lisanna. I saw you."

      I  felt furious.  

   "Don't you know, hell hath no fury like  a woman scorned?"

        I see Natsu blink twice.

     Natsu pulls me close and kisses me. I try to break free but find myself feeling drawn to him.

       I kiss him.  "N-Natsu, why?"

      "Lucy, I love you. I am sorry if I made you doubt me."

       I look to see him hold out his hat.

       I watch in amazement as he places it on my head.

       "What did you give me the hat for?"

     "For putting up with me and my craziness."

     "Are you kidding me?  I am crazy about you. I mean uh..."

"Please, do not take it back, Lucy."

       I take up his offer to walk me home. Once there, I show him all the things I did.

     "Wow, I underestimated you. It seems you know how to have proper fire safety after all."

   The end
