Best Friend Crush part 2 two-shot by Summer Cheng@SummerCheng37
Description:
Kim sees Alix rush off while he is talking to Odine. He is shocked but tries to call out after her. "Alix!" To his disappointment, she does not stop. Why did she run off like that anyway?
Kim's POV:
I am talking to Odine about Alix. I am not sure how to ask her out. I only meant to get an opinion from her because she is a girl. Alix has been my best friend for years. I don't want to mess anything up.
I watch in amazement as Alix runs past me. I am glad to see her.
I stand up and brush Odine's hand away from mine. "Alix!" I call out after her. Only she does not stop. She continues to run off. Where did I go wrong?
I sigh. Is it me? Could it be, she doesn't feel the same? Is that it?
"Go after her," I hear a voice say. I realize then that Odine must have seen the whole thing as well. Goodness, I never was good at reading a woman's mind.
"What?" I asked. "You heard me, if you wish to tell her how you feel then go for it," Odine tells me. I look in the direction Alix left in and sigh. I do as Odine suggests. I head in that general direction.
I watch Alix enter the place and see tears. Tears in her eyes.
I long to go to her, I follow her up the stairs and into her place. I watch as she closes and latches the door. I notice her enter her room and fling herself on her bed. I listen to her murmur something under her breath.
"Alix, she does not have me. I could never be with someone who is not you, "I remark. I enter her room as I speak and wrap my arms around her. "Alix," I whisper her name. She looks up and wipes a tear from her eyes. "Kim, but I thought that..." She says. "You thought wrong, I will never find anyone else, I swear. Alix, you are the only girl for me," I confess.
Alix smiles and replies, "Oh, Kim, I love you." I smirk and see her blush. "Oh, is that a fact?" I tease her. "Y-yes," She mutters. "Good, because I love you too, Alix Kubel," I reply. To which, Alix grabs my shirt and presses her lips against mine. I felt as if I would never recover from her kiss. It was far better than I could have believed. Wow, this is what it was like to be kissed by my Best friend, my crush. I kissed her back, and as I pulled away, I grinned at her. "Alix, will you be my girlfriend?" I asked. Alix smiled, "Yes, Kim, I will!"

Six months later, Alix and Kim are still together.
"I can't believe it has been six months girl," Odine says.
"Me either, and to thank at one point I thought he was dating you," Alix states.
"As if, I am dating his brother, and besides, I know how taken he is with you," Odine replies.
"I know that now, but I did not know that when I saw you with him. I sure felt silly after he showed up at my place and confessed to me," Alix responds.
"Don't look now girl, but your prince is headed this way," Odine gushes.
Kim approaches the girls and smiles. He is glad to see them, getting along so well, especially since Odine is his soon-to-be sister-in-law, and he has something important to discuss with Alix.
"Alix Kubel, I know we have only been dating for six months, but we have been best friends for far longer, and I love you. I do not want to be with anyone else. So, will you marry me?" Kim asks.
"Yes, I will marry you!" Alix answers. Kim and Alix kiss and Kim slips the engagement ring on Alix's finger. Odine claps her hands. She is so happy for them. Her fiance, Todd is happy for them too.
Alix and Kim discuss wedding ideas, after the short engagement celebration, Andres's ice cream!

It has been 1 year and six months since Alix and Kim got engaged. The two are still in love as ever before, and today is the big day!
As Alix comes down the aisle towards Kim all eyes are on her, but the only ones she cares to stare back into are Kim's. She is finally beside him, he holds her hand, and they listen as the preacher speaks. They say the vows, exchange rings, and then, kiss. As Kim kisses Alix, he knows how blessed he truly is for he has married his best friend. He would have not had it any other way and neither would she. He is grateful he got to marry her, for she is the love of his life.
The reception is swell, with a few family, and friends gathered around them. They cut the cake. They eat some. They dance. They listen as others give them well wishes or blessings and they dance some more. The bride tosses the bouquet and a lady in the back row of the long line of single women catches it. The groom throws the garter and the man in the back row of single men catches it.
The bride and groom leave smiling as their guests toss birdseed into the air. It is more practical and safer for the birds than rice. The honeymoon is grander than they imagined.
Nine months later, Alix and Kim smile as they witness the arrival of their daughter. That is right, Alix gave birth to a healthy girl, named Kellie Lee Kubel. As she grows up, she is best friends with a young boy named Joel Harry Hugo Agreste II.
The end...
