Ren's  POV:

        I sighed as I mopped the floor.

           Little did I know Nora felt the same way about me.

           I noticed practice let out later than usual.

            I  saw Nora with tears in her eyes.  I could not help but feel anger at whoever had put them there.  How dare someone make the prettiest ballerina, I had ever laid eyes on cry?

           "Miss Nora, what is the matter?"

         Nora looked up as  I approached her.  

         "Ren, I did not see you there."

        "It is alright, no one ever does."

      "I was so distracted by my feelings I did not realize you had not left yet."

        "Ah, yes, well, I just finished up work."

     "Have you ever felt like you desired to do something, but no matter how much you tried life throws you the toughest patches?"

      "I  believe so. I  never wanted to be a janitor at all."

     "Oh, then why do you stay, then?"

    "It is a job, it pays alright, and I do not know much.  I think the management took pity on me."

         Nora wiped away a tear. She looked stunned by my words.       

      "What happened, Miss Nora?"

      "Nora is enough, I believe the miss is not necessary."

        "Why not?"

    "It is the proper thing, so I have heard."

     "I do not care about such matters."

      "You still have not told me what happened.

      "The Sleeping Beauty tryouts were today."

    " I know you will make a great Aurora."

       Nora shook her head.

       "Did not you get the part?"

        "No, Beatrice did, and it is hardly fair because she is the teacher's niece."

          "I am the fairy, Maryweather."

          I hugged her. I was afraid to let her go.

         I was if I thought she might disappear if I did.

         I felt her return the hug.

         I  smiled.

       I  heard a car horn blow.

       I ignored it, and she did as well.

      I tipped her chin up gently with my finger.

      I  saw her close her eyes.

     I hoped she wouldn't hate me for it later.

     I  brushed my lips slowly across hers.  My crush responded with a kiss of hers.

    I could scare believe it. Here I was kissing, my Nora.

     I heard a person clear their throat. Then, the disapproval as her ride spoke up.

     "Nora, no daughter of mine is to be seen kissing the hired help again! You got it?"

        "Daddy, you scared me."

       I  pulled her close to my chest.  "Listen, mister, I kissed her.  Besides, I was only comforting her because she did not get the lead role in Sleeping Beauty."

      "Is that true, Nora?" her father asked.

    "Yes, it is true."

    To my relief, I heard her father laugh.

    "I was only teasing you.  I just wanted to make sure you are good to my daughter. It seems you are so young man, you may ask her out if you want. Oh, and you kiss her anytime you want to."

    I looked at him, then back to Nora in surprise. 

"Nora, will you go out with me?"

"You mean, be your girlfriend, Ren?"

 "Yes, I mean it."

"Yes, I would be honored to date you and be your girl."

      Nora stood on her tiptoes and kissed my cheek. It was on account of her being two inches shorter than me. 

   I blushed.

   I waved bye to her and her father as they left.

Yes, I am the boyfriend of Nora Valkyrie.
