Summary : What if Hiccup was poisoned instead of Stormfly. This is without Garff as the gang were exploring.

" HICCUP!" Astrid shouted running to her boyfriend. " Hiccup, Hiccup" Astrid kept whispering over and over not believing what she just saw.

A slither wing jumped put of the bushes hissing at the group. Just as the slither wing jumped several times at the group but before it could reach Astrid Hiccup ran to her and hugged her making his neck exposed and the slither wing attacked. He pushed Hiccup to the floor hard almost hitting his head off a rock.

As Astrid was trying to recall the recent events as she placed Hiccup against a rock. Fishlegs told Snotlout to get some tree sap, Ruff and Tuff to get some angel fern and he would figure out a way to get slither wing venom to cure Hiccup. While they left Astrid with Hiccup she had a emotional breakdown. She cried onto his chest wishing he would wake up.

Hiccup's eyes fluttered but Astrid was still crying on his chest. When he saw this he felt terrible. Even do his vision was a little foggy he could see it was his girlfriend. " Ast... rid" He said weakly. " Hic...Hiccup" Astrid said slowly and she raised her head carefully. " Hey M'lady" He said with his lopsided grin that made Astrid's heart melt into lovey dovey goo. " I'm so sorry" she said looking away from him. He lifted his hand and used it to make Astrid face his face. She had tears dripping down her face slowly. " Astrid this isn't your fault I chose to protect you I would rather see you healthy after what you have been through" Hiccup said. " I know you care about me and I love that about you, but if I lose you I... I... don't know what...I... would... do" Astrid said crying half way through her sentence. Hiccup caressed her cheek. " That won't happen..." Hiccup said before he blacked out. " Hiccup!" Astrid shouted. " Astrid, we have everything but the..." Fishlegs was caught off by Astrid running.

As she ran she found a slither wing and punched it. She ran back to the group and said " I hope you can make two" and blacked out.

Astrid POV
"...Astrid wake up M'lady" I heard a fimliar voice. As I opened my eyes I saw Hiccup with his lopsided grin that makes my heart melt into lovey dovey goo. " Babe" I said reaching out my hand. He took it and held my hand in both of his. I smiled a weak smile. Soon the gang left and it was just me and Hiccup. " I guess we both nearly died that's a new one" Hiccup joked.  " I would punch you if I had the strength so watch out later" I said as he laughed. " Ok but you didn't need to risk your life for mine" He said. " I'll always worry about you that's just the way it is" I said. " I can't image a world without you in it " I said. " Well the same goes for me" He said kissing my hand. " Let's go home I hate this place" I said.

I knocked at Hiccup's hut. " Hey Astrid are you doing ok" He asked my letting me inside. " Ya I just need to do this" I said punching him. " That's for making a joke out of our situation..." I said. Then I kissed him passionately  " And that's for everything else" I said. " How about you stay the night" Hiccup said. " I would love too" I said kissing him once more.
