It was a brisk day. My hands were in my pockets and my hood was pulled over my head so I wouldn't have to look at people around me. I was walking down the sidewalk as a leaf flew past me. I whispered, "wig snatched" as I watched it fly past me. I laughed. My kid would probably say "Dad, no!", but I know he would've enjoyed the joke. Kids, man... they sure do brighten your day up, even when they're not there.

I continued walking until I reached the building I was heading towards. It was an old, shady looking building, but I knew it was warm and welcoming inside. I opened the door smiled at the people inside, said hi to the desk lady, and went to the elevator. I pressed the 20th floor. I know, I know. "That's a lot of floors", whatever. There's a lot more where that came from.

When the elevator door opened I gasped at the sight I saw...
