Phineas and Ferb does not belong to me.

"Phineas?" A quiet voice calls into the dark office, the only light coming from the computer screens.
The youth psychologist looks up from his report, and a smile creeps over his lips. "Hey Iz. What's up?"
She walks in, sitting down in the chair across from his desk. "I'm worried about Lizzie. She doesn't seem to like the idea of a little sibling."
The smile is replaced by a frown. "Where is she, anyways?" Isabella usually keeps the four year-old close.
Izzy smiles. "She went to bug Henry." Phineas chuckles at that, looking back to his work. "I want to sign her up for therapy."
He freezes, staring at her. "Iz! She won't talk to me, I'm her father. And she's terrified of Azzy, not that I blame her, so who is she going to talk to? And don't say Kiri."
"You." Isabella stands up, walking around to his side of the desk. "You haven't been spending enough time with her lately, and being as she's a student here, she gets one free hour with you a week. You will make use of it."
He shakes his head. "Izzy, she won't want to talk to me. Kids have a hard enough time opening up to their therapist as it is. But their own parent?" Phineas narrows his eyes. "I'm not going to force us into that position."
"You said yourself that you don't force the kids to talk. You just spend an hour with them once a week with the promise that nothing said will be recorded." Izzy crosses her arms. "Just try it for three weeks?"
The light snaps on suddenly, and the two yelp. Kiri smirks at them from the doorway. "I've already scheduled you anyways. Also, what's wrong with my therapy style?"

The four year-old glares at the man across from her. "So Mommy has to pay you to spend time with me?"
"No, Lizzie." Phineas leans forward, a gentle smile on his face. "I'm taking an hour of my time a week, to spend with you. I'm not being paid for it. Your mother and I just want us to spend some time together."
Lizzie looks away from him, blocking him from her mind. "She's mad because I don't want a baby brother or sister."
Phineas sighs. "She's not angry at you, Liz. And neither am I."
The girl climbs out of the chair, running for the door. "I don't want to do this!"
"Lizzie." Her father steps in front of her, his long legs beating her preschooler speed. "Just because I've promised you that I won't tell anyone about what you say or do in here (including your mother, by the way) doesn't mean you have to talk." He kneels down in front of her, a smirk on his lips. "You can just sit in a corner and whine if you want to."
She mock glares at him. "Daddy."
He chuckles, "I know you aren't a whiner. Now. Wanna go for a walk or do something? We have to hang out for an hour before my client comes, so we might as well do some inventing."
Lizzie grins, "Really? I thought you didn't like inventing with me 'cause I mess up so much." She stiffens at her slip up.
Phineas stares at her. "Oh Lizzie... is that what you thought? No honey. I love inventing with you. I've just been so busy with work and getting ready for the new baby."
The girl winces. "Then what's it gonna be like when it comes? Am I just going to be thrown away like Jade or Min*?"
*Min doesn't belong to me. She belongs to Jean Little.
Her father stares, sadness filling him. "Lizzie, do you really think that your little sibling is going to replace you?" The girl turns away sadly, and Phineas bites his lip. "Come here, baby."
Reaching out to hug her, he pulls her close to his chest. "I'm sorry."
"You don't need to be sorry." He murmurs into her curly red hair. "It's normal for a new big sibling to have doubts. I can't believe I let it get this far."
She wraps her arms around him, tears in her normally bright blue eyes. "I don't want to be alone."
Phineas realizes that she's scared, and lifts her up onto his lap. "You're not going to be alone, Lizzie. You're getting a new friend."
Lizzie closes her eyes, "One who won't be ready for two years. One who will take all of your attention and Mommy's."
He brushes his fingers through her hair gently, playing with the tight curls. "When my baby sister was born, I was way older than you. But I remember the feeling." Phineas turns her face gently towards him. "You are not going to be thrown away. You're still my little genius."
She looks up with a slight smile. "You mean it?"
He lays a fatherly kiss on her forehead, a smile on his own lips. "I promise."
