Steve had just gotten back from a particularly tough mission, Who knew clearing out Hydra bases would be so tiring? It was almost midnight when he started walking to his apartment, the many loud sounds of the city were easily heard by the super soldier, but one sound, in particular, caught his attention. It sounded like crying. Curiosity took over and Steve started walking down an alley way between a restaurant and a laundromat. He looked all over, just when he was about to give up the search his foot hit a cardboard box and the crying got louder. He bent down and cautiously opened the box, gasping as he saw a tiny baby with big and bright (e/c) eyes and little tufts of (h/c) curls matted down on her little head. Steve gasped and picked the baby, cringing at the coldness of her skin, he was disgusted at the fact that someone would just leave this beautiful child to die out in the cold. Quickly he wrapped the child in his jacket and ran to his apartment as fast as he could, wanting to get this baby out of the cold as quick as he could.

As soon as he got home he turned the heat up and called Sharon, in less than an hour Sharon was at his door, with what seemed like a hundred bags in her arms, each of them filled with things for the baby. Sharon immediately dumped the bags in Steve's arms and ran to the child that was lying happily on Steve's bed.

"Oh my gosh Steve, thank god you found her, she's so tiny" Sharon exclaimed as she picked the smaller than average child. Steve, followed her and set the bags down "What should we do?" Sharon balanced the baby on her hip and dumped the contents of every bag on the bed.

"Hold her while I run a bath" Steve nodded and took the little girl, he sat on the edge of the bed and stared into her eyes, as feelings of happiness, pride, and love washed over him.

~~~TIME SKIP: 1 YEAR~~~

Steve chased after his daughter as she ran around the apartment naked, refusing to wear clothes after her bath "Come on (y/n) you need to wear clothes! Please, I just gave you a bath you're gonna get dirty again!" (y/n) giggled and hid behind the couch, thinking that he would never find her.

Steve smiled and pretended he couldn't hear her "oh where oh where is my little girl?" (y/n) screamed and giggled as she was suddenly in his arms "Daddy" she yelled and smiled her adorable and innocent smile that Steve lived for. Tears filled Steve's eyes as she yelled her first word. "That's right baby girl. I'm daddy" He smiled and kissed her forehead before putting her night clothes on her and laying her in his bed. He smiled and stroked her cheek as she slept peacefully.

"I'm so glad I found you, and I always will be. I love you doll" Steve muttered before falling asleep with a smile on his face and happy tears on his cheeks.
