While Kathir was driving around, everyone tried calling him. But, his phone was out of charge and got turned off. 

Moorthy: Ivanuku ithe velaiya pochu... raathiri late ah veetuku varathu

Mullai is sad he isn't responding to any of them. He's avoiding her on her birthday. 

She turns away and runs into her room

Seeing this, Moorthy assumes it's all Kathir's fault.

A few hours later 

Kathir enters the house agitated and depressed that his wife hates him THIS much. He changed so much about him; there's nothing left to change. How much does he have to do for her to love him just 1% of how much he loves her.

He looks down and speeds up to his room to process all of this alone. Alas, he is interrupted by Moorthy.
