Lian's POV

We reach the Imperial city. I am now wearing a blue dress with my hair down. Everyone is celebrating the defeat of the Huns. There's a parade held in our honour. As we marched up to the palace. We are followed by a parade dragon.

"Make way, for the heroes of China and Princess Lian" a guard says and the crowd cheers around us. I sigh and give them a smile. As the other follow glumly behind me.

Suddenly Mulan appears on Khan. She rides over to Shang, Honghui and I. "Guys!" she shouts.

"Mulan" I say with a smile as the men look at her confused. Honghui whispering her name.

"The Huns are alive! They're in the city" she tells us.

"Are you sure?" I ask her concerned.

"You don't belong here, Mulan" Shang tells her.

"Go home" Honghui adds.

"Honghui, Shang I saw them in the mountains! You have to believe me" she begs.

"Why should I?" Honghui and Shang ask her. I glare at them.

"Why else would she come back?" I demand. As Mulan and I get in front of both men.

"You said you'd trust Ping. Why is Mulan any different?" Mulan asks them. They don't answer and have their horses walk around us. "Keep your eyes open. I know they're here" she tells the trio and I. "Yah!" she shouts and gallops away.

"Do as she says, I trust her" I tell the trio. They nod their heads and we catch up to the other two. We reach the stairs of the palace and dismount our horses. We climb the stairs, the parade dragon following us. Father greets us at the top of the stairs and I avoid his eyes.

"My children, heaven smiles down upon the Middle Kingdom. China will sleep safely tonight. Thanks to our brave warriors" father states and the crowd cheers. "Daughter" he says looking at me and I step forward.

"Father, I have come home and am ready to accept my responsibilities" I tell him.

"Good, we shall discuss this later" he states and gestures to his right. I walk over and stand beside him facing the warriors. As Shang steps forward to address my father.

"Your Majesty, I present to you the sword of Shan Yu" Shang states as he kneels offering father the sword.

"I know what this means to you, Captain Li. Your father would have been very proud. He'd be proud of you also Honghui" father tells them.

Suddenly Shan Yu's hawk swoops down and grabs the sword. It flaps up to the roof, where a line of stone gargoyles are resting. One of the gargoyles moves and takes the sword. Huns jump out of the Chinese Dragon. Two of them grab the Emperor and take him into the palace. Another grabs me doing the same.

"No!" Shang yells. Father and I are taken to a balcony, and are released.

"Stay behind me father, I can handle this" I tell him quietly. Wishing I had my sword. Shan Yu appears ordering his men to guard the door. Before turning to my father and I.

"Your walls and armies have fallen. And now it's your turn. Bow to me" he tells my father.

"My father bows to no one" I snap.

"Hold your tongue or I'll cut it out" he sneers. "I tire of your arrogance, old man. Bow to me!" he roars at my father.

"No matter how the wind howls, the mountain cannot bow to it" father tells him. Shan Yu snarls as he raises his sword.

"Then you will kneel ... in pieces!" he yells swinging his sword down. I knock my father to the crowd to avoid it. As Shang and Honghui appear with Mulan & the trio. Who are dressed as concubines. I would of laughed, had this situation not been so dire.

Shang and Honghui swung around a pillar, and then kicks Shan Yu in the face. "Chien-Po, get the Emperor! Ling, get Lian!" Mulan shouts.

"Sorry, your Majesty" Chien-po says bowing his head to mt father. He picks up the Emperor, and, using his silk belt, slides down the cord paper lanterns are strung on. Yao follows them as Ling approaches me.

"I can fight" I state.

"You have no weapon, let us handle it Lian" Mulan tells me. As Shang and Honghui fight Shan Yu. Before I can protest Ling throws me over his shoulder. He uses his silk belt, slides down the cord paper lanterns are strung on. Once we reach the ground he lets me go.

"Are you ok Lian?" father asks me concerned.

"I'm fine, I'm worried about the other three" I state looking up at the balcony. To see Mulan cut the cord, preventing Shan Yu from following us. Shan Yu yells in rage and our people cheer around us. "By the way, you guys look beautiful" I tell the trio.

"You think? I thought this dress made me look fat" Yao tells me. I chuckle as Ling smacks the back of his head. I look up to see Mulan fighting Shan Yu on the roof. Mulan only weilding a fan, while Shan Yu has his sword.

"You can do it Mulan" I say. Suddenly Shan Yu stabs the sword through the fan; Mulan disarms him. Then turns around holding Shan Yu's sword.

"I am ready, baby!" I hear Mushu shout and spot him with a firework on his back. Mushu breaths fire on a stick and hands it to Crickee. Mulan kicks Shan Yu in the face, then trips him and pins his shirt to the ground with the sword. Crickee lights the fuse, and the rocket slams Shan Yu straight into the firework tower.

Mulan runs in the opposite direction picking up Mushu and Crikee along the way. Shouting that they had to get off the roof. As the fireworks explode, she jumps, catches a lantern and swings down the cord. Then drops onto Honghui and Shang, who had been running down the stairs. Shan Yu's sword and Mushu land nearby.

I race over to them helping Shang up. As Mulan gets up with Honghui's help. The trio rush over smiling. Just then Chi-fu appears. "That was a deliberate attempt on my life! Where is she? Now she's done it! What a mess!" he yells. The trio stand in front of Mulan and Honghui. "Stand aside, that creature's not worth protecting" Chi-fu tells them.

"She's a hero" Shang and I tell him hotly.

"Tis a woman. She'll never be worth anything" Chi-fu states.

"Listen, you pompous..." I start to say glaring at him.

"That is enough" father orders as he joins us.

"Your majesty/father, I can explain" Shang and I state. Father raises a hand and the Gang of Three move to the side with Honghui, revealing Mulan.

"I've heard a great deal about you, Fa Mulan and of my daughter. You stole your father's armor, ran away from home. Impersonated a soldier, deceived your commanding officer, dishonored the Chinese Army with my daughter. Destroyed my palace! And ... you have saved us all" father states. He bows to her as I smile doing the same.

From the corner of my eye I notice row by row, every person in the Imperial City bows to her. Father and I raise again. "Chi-fu!" he calls.

"Your Excellency?" Chi-fu asks.

"See that this woman is made a member of my council" father tells him.

"What? There are no council positions open, your Majesty" Chi-fu tells him.

"Very well, you can have his job" I tell Mulan pointing to Chi-fu. Father nods his head in agreement.

"Wha? ... My? ..." Chi-fu stutters before fainting.

"With all due respect, your Excellency and Lian. I think I've been away from home long enough" Mulan tells us.

"Then take this" father says handing her his pendant. "So your family will know what you have done for me. And this so the world will know what you have done for China" he states handing her Shan Yu's sword.

Mulan accepts both gifts and hugs my father. He returns it and she then hugs me. Before going over to Honghui. "Um ... you ... You fight good" he tells her sheepishly and I roll my eyes.

"Oh. Thank you" Mulan says looking disappointed. She mounts Khan and whispers to him before galloping away.

"The flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all" father says to Honghui.

"Sir?" Honghui asks.

" You don't meet a girl like that every dynasty" father tells him and puts on his hat. Before heading back to the palace.

"Go get her you idiot, take Ebony" I tell him. Honghui smiles and mounts her before galloping after Mulan. "Thank you all for protecting China and defeating the Huns. I have to go see my sisters" I tell the other four.

"Princess Lian" Shang says grabbing my wrist.

"Yes, captain?" I ask.

"I do trust you and hope I can get to know the real you now" he tells me.

"Would you like to stay for dinner then?" I ask him with a smile.

"Dinner would be great" he says with a smile. I smile and kiss his cheek.

"See you later" I tell him and return to the palace. I go to the bunker where my sisters nearly hug me to death. We all sit down and I tell them about my journey.
