Esme's POV

So Rita found out I'm dating George and did an article about it. Painting him at a gold digger. We got some horrible letters. We burned most of them only reading the ones from family or friends. Mrs Weasley was over the moon that George and I are dating. So is my mum. I told her how word got out about my heritage and she was happy Hogwarts was making sure I was safe when I left school grounds.

Anyway Harry finally figured out the egg, just days before the second task. Ron, Hermione and I were helping him research a way to breath under water for an hour. We didn't really have much luck. Until Neville suggested Gilly Weed after Hermione and Ron were called away by Professor Moody. But I didn't see Hermione or Ron at all last night or this morning.

So I'm looking for them while Harry went to join the other champions. "Hello princess" a voice says. I roll my eyes to face Draco.

"I'm no princess" I tell him.

"Not what the Prophet says" he states with a smirk.

"Yeah, well don't believe everything you read" I tell him.

"You could do better then that Weasley" he tells me.

"I don't care what you or anyone else thinks. George and I are dating, and nothing anyone says is going to change that" I state. "Now have you seen Hermione or Ron?" I ask him.

"No" he states.

"Thanks, bye" I say and head for the boats. I get into one with Fred and George.

"Want to make a bet?" George asks me.

"No, but if I was I'd say Harry will find the treasures first" I tell him.

"Find Hermione or Ron?" Fred asks.

"No, it's weird" I tell him. We arrive at the stands. "I'm going to wish Harry luck, save me a seat?" I ask them. They nod and we went our separate ways. "Hi Harry!" I shout and he turns to look at me.

"Hey Esme, did you find the others?" he asks me.

"No, but I'm sure they wish you luck. Remember to concentrate, you only have enough gilly weed for an hour. So don't waste time" I tell him.

"I got it" he assures me.

"Got your wand?" I ask and he takes it out of his pocket. Showing it to me. "Keep it at the ready and good luck" I tell him. He nods his head and I went in search of George. I find him with Lee, Fred and Angelina. I sit by George and he wraps his arm around my shoulders.

Bagman steps up to announce the task. "Well, all our champions are ready for the second task, which will start on my whistle. They have precisely an hour to recover what has been taken from them. On the count of three, then. One. . . two. . . three!" he says and the champions dive into the water.

"Oh god" I say.

"What is it Esme?" George asks me curious.

"Think about it, Hermione and Ron are missing. What if people were taken?" I ask him.

"Doesn't make sense" Lee states.

"Why would Harry have two?" Fred asks.

"He doesn't, he has to find Ron and Hermione is for Viktor Krum" I state.

"Makes sense, who would the others have to find?" George asks.

"I don't see the ravenclaw seeker Cho, she must be for Cedric" Angelina states. Just then a couple of Beauxbaton students appear.

"As-tu vu Gabrielle, la soeur de Fleur ?" one of them asks me. (Translation: Have you seen Fleur's sister Gabrielle?).

"Peur pas, pourquoi?" I ask them. (Translation: Afraid not, why).

"Elle n'était pas au petit-déjeuner et ne plaisanterait jamais en regardant sa sœur concourir" the same girl explains. (Translation: she was not at breakfast and would never mess watching her sister compete). I look at the others, then back at them.

"Nous pensons que les champions doivent trouver des gens dans le lac. Si c'est le cas, alors Fleur doit trouver sa sœur" I explain. They gasp in shock and mutter to each other in French. (Translation: We believe the champions have to find people in the lake. If so, then Fleur must have to find her sister).

"Merci, bonne journée" the girl tells me and they left. (Translation: Thank you, enjoy your day).

"What was that about?" Fred and George asks me.

"Just figured out who Fleur has to find. Her little sister is down there" I state.

"Guess we just have t wait now" Angelina states.

"Well that's boring, what are we supposed to do for the next fifty minutes?" Lee asks.

"I can think of a few things" George says with a smile. Looking at me. I elbow him.

"Behave" I tell him. He just chuckles. "So Angelina, is the rumor true? You going to be Gryffindor's quidditch captain next year?" I ask her curious.

"Oliver recommended me, but I won' know until I get the badge" she states.

"Please don't work us as hard as Wood" Fred begs.

"I'll work the team as hard as needed" she states. "But we'll need a new keeper, if possible I'd of hold tryouts this year. That way we could of had a whole year to train as a team before quidditch resumes next year. But that didn't happen" she explains.

"We could always get the current team together, practice" George tells her.

"That's a good idea, I'll go ask the girls. You guys can talk to Harry tonight" she states. Then left us to go look for Katie and Alicia.

So in the end Cedric got first place and had used the Bubble-head charm. So did Fleur, but she came last. Viktor used a form of transfiguration. He appeared second with Hermione. But Harry was awarded second place for finding the hostages first and saving two of them. Fleur kissed his and Ron's cheeks thanking them for saving her little sister. We all then returned to the castle. Where we had a party in the common room.
