Chapter five
"I-I really shouldn't.... Besides, I'll probably be leaving soon again."
The rest of them looked at me once again.
"Leaving to where? The nether empire and minecraftia are the only larger kingdoms? The Ender Empire is basically always on lockdown and no one knows how to reach Mianite island. There's always the SMP Forest but from Jeromes chat of it they aren't always kind."
I just shook my head.
"The Nether Empire will catch me before I get to any of those places. They'll find me or I'll be dead before then." I got up to try leaving again.
"Hopefully."
"Seto you're not leaving us. Everyone out I need to talk to Seto, alone." Brice commanded. Ty lead everyone out. I looked at Brice and backed up slightly, Mitch shoved me at him before closing the barn door.
"Seto, who is trying to find you. If you can't tell a group of people then at least tell me." He said corner in me to a wall.
"I, I....." I stuttered aimlessly. He sighed and backed off me.
" I'll talk to my dad and see if he could pay a funeral for your mother. You can come to my house and chat. Maybe when your not as shaken up you can trust me a enough to tell."
He then stormed out of the barn shoving around the other 4 waiting outside.
They all looked at me as I came out quietly.
"What did you do?" Adam asked skeptically.
I just shook my head and didn't answer, walking back to the shack of cloth.
Before I left I could hear them all whisper quietly, then I rounded the buildings and slums to my home.
I simply avoided my mothers bed, seating myself on the dirt floor in the corner. An apple was sat in a basket beside me.
One I had stolen for her before this mess happened.
I cried
And cried
And cried.
The bustle of people outside, some kids walking to their homes, the clanking of armour.
Armour?
I attempt to sit up looking outside to see 3 men on horses and in armours trotting around the slums. Adam, Brice, Mitch, and Jerome were following behind looking around. I could see Ty run up to them and start speaking.
Then they all looked straight in my direction, obviously spotting me from behind the torn curtain.
Shit.
I jumped as Brice said something to the lead horseman getting off his steed and walking towards me. Both Brice and the man, everyone else stood back but watched warily.
I backed up ready to turn and run out the back.
Or really in any direction, there wasn't really walls or doors for that matter, just the cloth.
Instead of running I just sat instead behind a barrel of sorts. Attempting to hide myself from whoever was with Brice.
"We know you're here boy. Come on out and there won't be any trouble!" A gruff voice bounded with a strong accent much like Brice's.
"Dad, quiet down! I don't think he's all that keen to noise." I heard Brice mutter to the man.
His father?
I warily peeked around the barrel, looking at them with caution. Both Brice and his dad whipped to face me.
I shrink back into the corner naturally.
"Hey, Seto, it's okay. We just want you too talk. You seem to know the most about the Nether Empire. We just need some help okay?" Brice whispered, pulling me out of the corner. He smiled.
"Would you mind if my men inspected your mothers body? Then it will be taken to a grave yard. We'll bury her later. Okay?" Brice's father asked, a lot sweeter then his initial voice.
I hesitantly nod as he signals two men in. I just look at them and follow Brice and his dad out of my home.
Mitch and Jerome had followed the men into my home as well as Adam. Ty was probably not allowed inside so he sat on a fence outside.
He gave me a look of worry but quickly reverted his gaze to where Adam had disappeared behind the curtain.
"Come along Seto, it's all gonna be fine." Brice's father said as Brice dragged me from the slums, through the high class civilization, and too a rather large house.
"Welcome to our humble home! Brice take him up to you room. He'll probably be the keenest to talking with you." Brice's father said walking inside. Brice practically dragged me into the house, up a flight of stairs and into a rather expensive looking bedroom.
The costs to pay of this room must have been high. The only person Seto could think of to have that power at the moment was....
Him.
Seto shivered and sat on Brice's bed beside the golden haired boy.
"Please tell me what you know seto. Please?" Brice asked looked at the small Mage beside him.
Seto averted his gaze to the floorboards.
"TheNether Empire is almost the same size as minecraftia. Half the population consists of slaves. Slaves are either labourers, servants, or bed slaves." Seto sinks into the bed shuddering again at the though of each. He knew the hardships of them all.
"Seto, do you know any details?" Brice asked gently pulling seto closer to him.
Seto tensed up his muscles at Brices touch.
"I know the labourers are forced into the fields 24/7, that's where my family had been for the first few years I was there. Later I was separated with my mom to serve this man. We were his butler and maid essentially. But then my mother disappeared one day I didn't see her for years to come."
Seto teared up slightly as he shut his eyes and continued.
"The man appeared one day and after I was punished for speaking without permission he told me I was being moved again. I saw my mother but she was beaten horribly and was laying in a basement chained to the wall. When she saw me she looked horrified and tried screaming for my safety. I was kept with her there till the man and his buddies wanted to have some fun."
Seto collapsed into Brice as his body heaved and shuddered. Tears fell down his face as hid it in Brices shirt. Brice widened his eyes and pulled Seto close looking away from him in guilt.
"I shouldn't have pushed you to tell Seto. I'm-"
"They used me. They sold my body Brice. My mother and I were nothing more then toys for them to play with!" Seto cut him off violently shoving Brice away and standing up.
Seto held his hands to his head and went to the door of the room before collapsing on his knees in front of it. His hands drifted down his neck till he was holding himself in his arms pitifully as he sobbed.
Brice slowly got off the bed and sat down beside Seto, whiping away some tears.
Seto decided to look away again as he spoke.
"Brice, I can still feel how they touched me... I stay awake at night because of the nightmares they gave me. I can still feel the scares they left and their lustfully vicious stares they gave me when I was taken away from my mother to separate rooms..."
Everthing was silent in the room next.
"It feels like it's happening all over again sometimes. When I lay alone in the dirt at my home, I can relive it." With that Seto fell into Brice allowing him try calming him.
The blonde held Seto close brushing fingers through his hair, the single though rushing his mind.
Who can live with themselves after doing this to him?
