Chapter 28: Reunited
YOONA
“There, there. You have to stop crying unnies.” I told them as I chuckle at Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung and Tiffany. These four lovely unnies cried as soon as they realize that I’m back as Yoona, not as Yanna. Sunny and Seohyun were just standing at a near side, smiling at us. Taeyeon unnie and Jessica were here too.
“How can we stop when you always snob at us just weeks ago? You were very bad towards us, Yoona!” Tiffany complained, and I could only give her a smile. She’s telling mew these things while sticking to me like glue right now.
“Yeah, you completely ignored us. How can we not tear up after knowing you’re back?” Hyoyeon mumbled, wiping off her tears hastily.
“I’m very sure you used to think we’re weird people.” Yuri added, her hand covering her mouth to stop her whimpers. I suddenly felt a bit guilty.
“Mianhae.” I apologized, which only made them cry harder. I let out a small laugh. Gosh, I didn’t know they would cry this much for me. I felt my heart softened at that.
“And since now we’re all together, we could finally be able to hang out!” Sooyoung said lively, her hands clapping. The rest of the girls agreed, although I noticed some looking a bit anxious. I silently just smiled.
Looks like I missed out a lot of things.
“Are you really, really alright Yoona?” I faced Sunny who suddenly asked me. I nodded at her while smiling. “What about your powers? Still present inside you?”
All of their attention were now focused on me, curious on what I was about to answer. I slowly lifted my right hand, then a mixture of fire, water, and ice appeared, stirring around each other. This surprised them.
“After getting my memories back, I suddenly know how to control my powers very well to the point that I could combine them with each other. I didn’t try casting them towards something yet though, so I’m not sure of its effects.” I explained, as I made the stirring powers from my hand disappear.
“We’ll try to work that out soon,” Said Jessica, while crossing her arms. “For now, you need a break from all that stress your powers have given you. You did mention a while ago that you’ve been experiencing headaches and sudden rings inside your head right?” I nodded silently towards her direction.
“I know someone who could treat your condition faster.” Taeyeon unnie suddenly spoke up, getting our attention. I smiled, having an idea who it might be.
“Well we better get going then. I’m sure he’s with someone you’ve been also wanting to meet.” Seohyun ushered, making my smile wider.
Its finally time to meet them, as me. I feel excited.

With Taeyeon unnie leading the way, she opened the door in front of us, revealing two faces I’ve missed so much.
“Oh, girls. This is a surprise.” He stated, a bit surprised. “Its been so long since all of you are together, what’s up?”
“Yoona’s up here to see you.” Sunny answered him, pushing me softly towards them. I formed my lips in a straight line when I noticed his confused expression. The older man beside him just stared at me.
“Yoona?” He mumbled out, eyeing me. I slowly raised my hand, and did a small wave. With that small gesture, both men were taken aback. I finally smiled at their reaction. They still remember my mannerisms.
Without a single word spoken, I was then engulfed by the older man’s embrace, almost leaving me in shock. It was replaced by my laughter, after hearing crying noises.
“Omo, I didn’t know you could actually cry, Uncle. This is a first.”
“You’re such a troublesome woman.” I laughed yet again, my tears already starting to appear. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back. I miss this warm feeling.
“Uncle, I’m sorry for being rude to you. I-I’m sorry for making you worried. I’m sorry f-for everything,” My voice cracked as I let those words come out from my mouth. I only felt his hug getting a bit tighter. I continued to cry on his shoulder.
I’ve done few to nothing for this man and yet, he’s still very patient with me. He’s the very first person who accepted me as who I am and I didn’t express my gratitude for him very well. I lack in almost everything and he’s my role model yet, I was rude and ignored his efforts while I focus in pitying myself.
I still have a lot to say to him, my uncle, my father figure.
“Yoona...” I slowly let go of Uncle and faced him, tears still falling down. He then let out his sweet smile, his dimples appearing. He put his hands on my face and wiped my tears using his thumbs. That gesture just made me cry harder.
“Lay o-oppa,” I stuttered, still not used with calling him that. He chuckled at that.
“Its been so long since you called me that, Yoona.” I looked up and saw his eyes tearing up. I stepped closer to him and hugged him, surprising him.
“Thank you for watching over Uncle, oppa. Thank you for staying by his side. I’m very, very grateful that you’re my cousin.” I sincerely told him, patting his back a bit. He didn’t respond after that so I tried to check him but he put his arms around me and hugged me back, preventing me from doing so. I just let him do what he wants.
Though it took me a long time to realize he’s actually related to me, plus the fact that the day he told me he was my cousin was the day I disappeared from them, it gave me a sign and hope that I actually still have family, a family with the same blood as mine.
“We’ll just wait outside, Sir. We’ll give you three some privacy.” I heard Jessica say and some heels clicking towards the door, the room already in silence. I slowly let go of Lay oppa and brushed my tears away. I smiled at the both of them.
“Well, now that you’re done crying, we could talk with more sense now, right?” I looked at Uncle while raising an eyebrow.
“Seriously Uncle? You started all of this.” I talked back, even pointing at him, which made Lay oppa laugh. Uncle just coughed, a fake one though. I secretly smiled.
“Well, that’s a matter of instinct. Anyways,” His gaze on me then became serious, eyeing me carefully. “How’s it going? Your powers and abilities?”
“I suddenly know how to control them.” I then released fire and water out of me and made them stir around me like a spiral. Both their gazes became more serious.
I swiftly then made the fire and water turn in to a ball, my hands circling around it until it disappears into thin air.
“When did you get your memories back?” Lay oppa asked, while glancing at his watch.
“Just this early morning at the garden. I was with Luhan-”
“You were with Luhan?” Uncle exclaimed surprised, cutting me off. I nodded at his direction.
“Yes, I was with Luhan. Actually, this wasn’t really the first time I got to have my memories back,” I slowly started, the tension inside this room starts to grow. The two men before me attentively listened to whatever I just told them. From experiencing headaches, loud ringings inside my head, until I made it to the garden part upon how it was Luhan who triggered my memories as whole.
The two then locked eyes towards each other, as if talking to each other with their minds. I’m suddenly interested with whatever they seemed to agree at. I then gazed at them, my attention and focus became one. I smiled triumphantly when I heard voices.
‘The prophecy has already started, without us even noticing.’ My brows creased after listening Uncle’s mind. Prophecy?
‘You’re right at that sir, and it looks like we don’t have much time. We have to bring her there in a matter of few days.’ I titled my head in confusion after trying to eavesdrop their conversation. Where does “there” mean?
“You do know that I could also read minds with ease now right?” I spoke up, but the two men still didn’t look at me.
‘We know.’ I yelped in surprised when I heard them answer inside my head. I accidentally even hit my leg at one of the beds, making them chuckle at me. I pouted and glared at the both of them. They didn’t have to surprise me like that. They could just at least give me some kind of gesture or something.
The two then faced me, their eyes already back in being serious. I silently glared at them. These two don’t really have to act serious all the time. Its like I just lived the life of being an only child, which doesn’t really makes sense.
“Yoona, you also do know we could read your mind right?” I groaned after hearing Lay oppa. I then crossed my arms.
“I could understand you, Lay oppa but what I don’t get is how come Uncle can too.” I then looked at Uncle seriously, Lay oppa could only look at us. Uncle released a sigh.
“Actually, its your mother who taught me how to wield powers, and by doing so, she gave me one-fourth of hers.” He suddenly raised his right sleeve, showing that weird flowered tattoo of his. “Your mother did this tattoo, back when we were teenagers.”
My brows creased as I became more confused. They were friends with mother ever since they were young? So does that mean Uncle used to live with her in her hometown?
“Did Cassandra ever told you where your hometown was at?” I shook my head no as my answer. All of my childhood life, I have spent it all at Moon Kingdom. I could even remember meeting Lay oppa there, though his face was a bit blurry. And I’m sure there was another kid with us, I just couldn’t remember who it was.
“Have you heard of Carnation Kingdom?” I suddenly turned my attention towards Lay oppa, my ears perked up at that certain kingdom.
“Yes, I have. Its that kingdom that suddenly disappeared from Planet Natural, right?” Lay oppa nodded, his gaze then on Uncle, as if telling him to do something. Uncle then released, yet again, another sigh.
“I and your mother were the best of friends, because I used to work for her.” Uncle may not say the exact words yet, I already have an idea with what it was.
And I don’t know if I should be happy or not.
“Your mother was a princess of Carnation Kingdom, and I used to be her right-hand servant. But she didn’t treat me as if I was just a servant to her. She treated me as a friend of hers, and I owe to her my life.” Tears suddenly formed in his eyes.
“I witnessed how your mother and father met and fell for each other,” I was then taken aback when he suddenly mentioned my father. “and she witnessed how I fell for mine and my griefs.” He then looked at me in the eye, ready to say the words but I beat him to it, the puzzles inside my head already formed.
And I don’t really know what to feel.
Lay oppa, a royalty and a prince, is my cousin. Uncle, a right-hand servant of mother. My own mother, a princess of a mysterious kingdom. And Carnation Kingdom itself, suddenly lost for 22 years, just the same as my age. Plus the fact that I’m being hunted by a witch, who somehow tried to act as my mother and kept me far from these people, to probably prevent a prophecy.
Everything somehow is now clear to me. And I just don’t really know how to feel.
“I’m also a princess of that mysterious kingdom, following after my mother, aren’t I?”

A/N
Like I told you, a long chapter already reaching 2K words. Man, these took me a lot of days to type, school in between.
Just so you know, the reason of my long absence is because we don’t have any Wifi here in my home and my phone is broken (It won’t freaking turn on my friends. T^T My pictures and videos of Bangtan T^T) so I prepared this chapter with my laptop, and also for the upcoming chapters.
But I already have a new phone (Finally! ^0^ My Bangtan vids and pics and oh! EXO comeback OHMYGASH I’M NOT READY) and I already have my own internet connection so expect that I won’t be that slow in updating now. Let’s say an update every week or two.
And its also because I’m in a rush in making this story be in its climax. I still have “Still” waiting to be updated and an upcoming story prepared, with a new plot this time. To give you a spoiler, it would be my first Bangtan fic and my first OC story. So yeah, stay tuned for that. ;-)
That’s all for today. Annyeong~
