Cause I am obsessed with MahiRat. This is a little filler fic because I am not getting the time to write long ones. This is also inspired by the time RDJ face timed Tom Holland during an interview.

Live call.

Virat was giving an one on one interview to Harsha Bhogle one day right before the start of test series against West Indies.

Harsha: Congratulations Virat on the win in the one day and T20.

Virat: Thank you so much. The team played really well as a unit and it worked.

H: India was without MSD this time. A really rare occurrence. Did the team miss the presence of a great like MS?

V: Well definitely, cricketer MS Dhoni was missed but even more than that we missed Mahi Bhai as a person. His presence is a calming influence in the team. He is someone you can go and talk to when you are feeling low or unsettled. Truth to be spoked he acts as a shields for the youngsters keeping them away from the media debates and focused on the game. And as I have said before there isn't better Cricketing brain than him.

H: That's a very essential role a senior plays. But in his absence is it you who replaces him?

V: Mahi Bhai cannot be replaced. I try to do my bit in my way. But yes we do miss him. And now that he is in Kashmir serving in the forces, we cannot even call him.

H: Well he returned from Kashmir yesterday. Why don't you call him now and tell him that you guys missed him?

V: What? On live...

H: Why not?

Virat thought for a moment and then decided there was no harm in this. And people kept talking about him and Mahi Bhai and speculating about rifts. It would be nice to shut people up for a while with this.

V: Ok.

And he dials MS's number putting the phone on speaker. After a few rings MS picks it up.

V: Bhai! 😃
M: Hello Cheeku! How are you?
V: Great.
M: Congratulations on the series win Cheeks.
V: Thanks Bhai
M: Really proud of you. (There bieng real sense if pride one his voice)
How are the others? Is Rishu doing ok? Krunal was great I heard...
V: Everyone's awesome. Rishu is doing a great job behind the stumps and yeah Krunal was awesome.
M: Anyways why did you call me?
V: I just called to tell you that (a moment's pause)...that I missed you really bad, and so did the others. We love you Bhai.
The line went silent. Virat had almost forgotten that he was in an live interview and the phone was on speaker. He wouldn't have frame this so childishly if he remembered that he had maintain his facade. After a few moments, MS's voice spoke, in a very tender tone laced with care, not cricketer MS Dhoni but Mahi Bhai spoke..
M: I missed you guys too, Bachcha.
V: I am coming to Ranchi after this series.(Virat said almost whining)
M: You are always welcome kiddo. Ziva already started jumping hearing that you are gonna come.
V: haha, she loves me.
M: Yeah she does. Achha kiddo, do one thing if you are really missing me so much just video call me na, I can talk to the others too. I do need some words with Rishu, he seems to be a little...
V: Bhai we are in an live interview, phones on speaker.

Virat interrupted suddenly remembering his surroundings.

M: Oh....Oh!

H: Hello MS.

M:Hi Harsha.

H: Would like to say something to the people?

M(In formal tone): Well nothing much. Just keep showering your support on us as that is what gives us strength. Also all the best to Skipper Kohli for the test series.

V: Bhai there's no use of bieng formal. You have already called me Cheeku, Cheeks, kiddo and bachcha. (Virat laughs)
M: that's true
V: I will call you later Bhai. Bye.
M:Bye kiddo.

Harsha Bhogle looked almost stunned.

H: So he calls you kiddo.

V: Well truth to be spoken he calls most of us kiddo and bachcha. He is a big brother to all of us in literal sense. He is our Bhai. We look up to him, love him and respect him. And to all those who love controversies, there can never be a rift between Cheeku and Mahi Bhai...never...because I feel blessed to have him by my side.

Because Mahi Bhai and Cheeku are unbreakable...♥️
