Smriti's POV-

I change my dress and we started for the headquarters.

" Guys, gather up. We have an emergency. The terrorist group Lqt is planning something nasty in 5 major Indian cities, namely-

1) Delhi

2) Mumbai

3) Bangalore

4) Kolkata

5) Hyderabad

Now I'll allot all of you your cities. It will be a team of 5 people which will include one computer hacker specialist." Sanjay sir said.

I hope that Mansi, Lakshya and I are on the same team.

" People who stay in Delhi are- Kanishk, Rushi, Jahanavi, Tanay and Mehul." Sir said.

" People who will go to Mumbai are- Mansi, Smriti, Rajat, Fahim and Lakshya." Sir said.

" Am I dreaming Mansi?" I asked her.

" No! We all are together in this." She said.

Sanjay sir further announced the teams. We will be addressed by Manish Sir, who is the senior most officer in 20 minutes.

We all went to conference hall.

Manish sir entered and started immediately without even wasting a second.

" As you can see, you have been put together with people you are comfortable with so that there is excellent coordination. This mission you all are involved in, is not a child's play. Thousands of lives are involved. You all have to keep your eyes and ears open even in your sleep. 26th January is approaching and there are 100% chances that the attacks or whatever planned by the terrorist group will be executed on that day itself. You will be in touch with us on an hourly basis. Either Sanjay or I will be available in the headquarters twenty four- seven." He said.

" Any questions?" He asked.

I raised my hand.

" Yes Ms Sharma?" He asked.

" Sir, are we supposed to involve the local area police or this is a covert operation?" I asked.

" The RAW branch will be informed. You will take a call regarding the involvement of police according to the situations there. Am I clear?" He asked.

" Yes sir." I said.

" Pack your bags and get here within an hour. You will leave from here. The flight tickets have been arranged. You will collect your weapons, tools and walkie talkies before leaving for the airport. The security check in will not give you any trouble. I have talked to the airport authorities." Sanjay sir said.

We all nodded.

" Dismissed." Manish sir said.

" Smriti, I am going to the hotel. I have to inform papa. Come with me, your parents are there only till now. Papa informed me." Mansi said.

" Let's go." I said and we left for the hotel.

We reached within 15 minutes. Mansi went to her dad's cabin while I was searching for mumma-papa when I bumped into Mr Grey.

" Ms Sharma, are you okay? You look confused." He asked.

" I am okay Mr Grey. I was searching for my parents." I said.

" They are all in Mia's room. I was going there, come along." He said.

" Thank you." I replied.

" Now since, we are getting married, we call address each other on first name basis. So call me Christian." He said.

" Sure, but then you have to call me Smriti." I said.

" Of course Smriti." He said.

I smiled at him.

We reached Mia's room.

" Mumma, when are we leaving?" I asked her.

" Smriti, did you leave manners outside and come in?" Mom asked.

" Tell me ASAP." I said.

" In half an hour." Papa said.

" I have to leave for Mumbai in an hour. Give me the house keys. I have to pack my stuff." I said.

" You are not going anywhere with your friends." Mumma said.

" Mumma, I am not going for vacation, I have a conference there." I told her.

She sighed and handed me the house keys.

" I'll give the keys to Ritu aunty, you take them from her." I told her.

" Just don't die." Mumma said.

Everyone looked at mumma with wide eyes.

" Why will she die Mrs Sharma?" Mia asked.

" Nothing Mia, mumma thinks that I am very clumsy and can trip over thin air and die." I said, covering up.

" Oh! Like that!" She said.

Thank god she believed me!

I took blessings from grandma and hugged mumma, papa, Mrs Grey and Mia.

" Will will you come back?" Papa asked.

" Mai zaroor wapis aaungi papa ( I will surely come back papa.)" I said, more of assuring myself than him.

" Mujhe poora bharosa hai mera baccha ( I completely agree, my daughter) " Papa said and kissed my forehead.

" Bye." I said, before tears could make way.

" I've already packed. Now let's go to your house, pack your luggage and leave." Mansi said. We was in the lobby.

I nodded.

We were done in 20 minutes and then reached the headquarters.

" Take your guns and other things. Pack them in a separate bag and leave for the airport." Sanjay sir said.

We did as we were told.

" Jai Hind. " We all chorused.

" Lakshya, let me take the window seat, you sit with Mansi." I said as we boarded the plane.

He nodded.

We reached Mumbai in about 2 hours and checked into Taj.

" We will put all our guns and other tools in my room and lock it. No room service will be done in that room. I will sleep in Mansi's room. Lakshya, keep your computer instruments very carefully." I said.

" Smriti and Mansi, you guys have to make sure that no one gets suspicious of us. Act like tourists and wear something in which you can run and chase people ." Rajat said.

" Also, keep one gun with you at every point of time." Fahim said.

We nodded.

" Let's inform our parents about our safety and swich off our personal cells. We can only use office mobiles on this mission." Rajat said.

" First I am briefing Sanjay sir about our status or else he will chew us all alive like last time." I said. Rajat and Fahim nodded understandingly and Mansi and Lakshya looked on confused.

" Long story guys. Will tell you later." Fahim said, addressing Mansi and Lakshya.

I talked to Sanjay sir.

I then called mumma.

" Mumma, i've reached Mumbai. My phone will be switched off for 2-3 days so don't take tention if you are unable to contact me. If you want any information regarding me, call Sunaina. She is in Delhi only." I said.

" Smriti, take care of yourself." Mumma said.

" Are you out? I can hear hush-bush." I said.

" Yes, we are buying engagement rings. The Grey family is with us too." She said, leaving me perplexed.

" Fine! So adamant on getting me married." I sighed.

" Smriti, don't start again, we've already had this conversation." Mumma said.

I rolled my eyes.

" Bye mumma." I said.

" Bye and take care." She said and hung up.

I switched off my phone and started planning along with others.
