Christian's POV-

" I want to talk to you in private." I told her.

  She nodded.

" I am taking her to Escala." I said.

" Fine." Mia said.

" Let's go." I said, addressing Smriti.

" Fine." She said.

" Mia, I'll return this tomorrow." Smriti added, looking towards Mia.

" No worries." Mia said.

Grandma and Mother hugged her and we took the elevator.

20 minutes later, we were in my penthouse.

I pinned her to the wall.

" Mr Gr.... Christian." She corrected herself.

I smirked seeing her reaction.

" Ms Sharma, the stunt you were trying to pull at the mansion is not appreciated." I told her seriously.

She wriggled her eyebrows in confusion.

" What did I do?" She asked.

" Trying to get off the ring." I said.

She broke the eye contact and looked down.

" I did it because......" She said, biting her lip of hers.

" Leave that alone. It's for me to chew and bite upon." I told her.

She blushed.

  Her heart beat faster and faster as my face came up to her own . I could smell her mist and it was turning me on. I captured her lips with mine. At first, the kiss was small. She wasn't responding again. She is inexperienced. It irritated me that she is not letting me. I then picked her up in bridal style. This made her gasp and gave me a chance to enter my tongue. She had no idea and was just copying my actions.

She parted due to lack of oxygen.

Unable to make an eye contact with me, she looked at her feet, blushing.

" You wanted to talk?" She asked, uncomfortably.

" Explain." I said.

" First put me down." She said.

I did.

" I did explain in front of everyone." She said.

" Why are you here?" I asked.

" I have been sent here for a mission." She said.

" I figured that out Ms Sharma, now tell me about your mission." I asked.

" I cannot. I can never reveal the details of my mission to anyone. Not even my parents. I caanot put all of your lives in danger.' She said.

" I need to know if you are in danger. I also have to get you security.

She smiled.

" Christian, I am perfectly capable of saving myself. I have been trained this way. I am a black belt in martial arts." She said.

" Smriti, the security part is not arguable." I told her.

" Mr Grey, I can assure you that I am perfectly capable of protecting myself." She said and then realised what she did.

I smirked, seeing her face.

I took my steps forward towards her.

My cell went off. 

" Yes Mrs Aston?" I asked, taking the call.

" Sir, there is an emergency. Your presence is required here." She said.

" I will be there." I said and hung up.

" Ms Sharma, this is not over." I told her.

" Christian, I need to go." She said, checking her cell out.

" I will drop you." I offered.

" No. I will go." She said.

" Smriti, things like these are not up for discussion. There is no point in apposing to everything I say." He said.

" Fine." I said.

" Where to sir?" Adam asked.

" The airport please." Smriti said.

" Are you going somewhere?" I asked.

" No, my boss is coming. Have to pick him up." She said.

I nodded.

We were at the airport in not more than 45 minutes.

" Christian, I will manage my way back." She said.

" Okay." I said and asked Adam to drive to GEH.

From the rear view mirror, I saw her sticking her tongue at me.

My lips twitched upwards.

Smriti's POV-

Yeh aadmi chata firta arrogance ka example hai. ( This man is a walking example of arrogance.)" I said to myself.

" Smriti, whom are you talking to?" Sanjay sir asked.

" Sir, we had no idea that you will be coming here." I said.

" I am here to keep a watch on Thomas. We are 100% sure that he is the main culprit. All you have to do is catch him red-handed and extract out of him the amount of information he has and also know if he has given some internal working maps to RAW to the terrorist groups." He said.

I nodded.

" Sir, shall we go?" I asked.

" We shall." He said.

We hired a cab to my apartment where everyone was already present.

" Agents, you might have got my message. Now I want Smriti and Chaitra to patrol the area outside the venue of the party." Sir said.

" Which party sir?" I asked.

" Weber Enterprises is being taken over by Grey Enterprises Holdings. There is a party in that regard." Sir said.

I nodded.

" Lakshya, you will be in the IT room and keep a check on the computer system to see if any data misuse is taking place and the others who are working as interns there will be inside, keeping a check on Thomas." Sanjay sir instructed.

We all nodded and started preparing for the same. All that Chaitra and I had to do was visit the venue once to have a look. We did so and came back. I was in the kitchen, helping Sunaina and Mansi with the dinner when I noticed a heart locket on Sunaina's neck.

" Someone finally is in a relationship." I said randomly.

" Yes, Chaitra did finally proposed." Sunaina said.

" Yes, on the ferris wheel." I said.

" How do you know?" She asked.

" I just do." I said.

She looked at me weirdly.

" Chaitra told me." I clarified. She nodded.

Then we served dinner and the others went back to their apartment.

I retired to my room and called mumma. She did scold me a little, but I was relieved because she was not being melodramatic.

Finally I was just about to keep the phone to sleep when it went off. It was Mia.

" Smriti, care to join me for shopping tomorrow?" She asked enthusiastically.

" But I am not free before 6 in the evening tomorrow." I told her.

" No worries. We will go after 6." She said.

" I'm on then." I told her.

" Get your friends too." She said.

" I will." I agreed.

" Great! I am dragging Christian too. That man needs some casual clothing." She said.

I did not say anything but I totally agree with her.

" Okay, then see you tomorrow." She said.

" Goodnight Mia." I said and hung up. I finally let sleep embrace me after drifting away from the thoughts of a certain someone.
