Ms. Heart and Mr. Art (Poem)

There was once a girl who knew from the start

That she was born with a very broken heart

As each day passed, she grew weaker

She was like a candle just starting to flicker

So one day she asked her Mom and Dad

If she could travel, to not be so sad

After many failed attempts they finally said yes

To make her forget the weak heart she possess

So the very next day she took the next plane to Paris

Not knowing what she would see made her quite anxious

There once was a boy who loved to paint

Not one buyer would ever complaint

His art was amazing beyond compare

He knew that he will never lose his flair

But suddenly his art started to go bad

With this strange occurrence, he went mad

He had somehow lost his skill of art

If he doesn't do something, he'll fall apart

So to find his will of art that was lost in sight

He traveled to Paris at the middle of the night

The girl saw that Paris was a beautiful place

Nothing could make her memory erase

At the same time the boy saw what he came to see

He saw art everywhere, where art could be free

He went to a museum where art like to thrive

But he saw something better when he had arrive

There was a beautiful girl who was absorbed in it all

He had knew that it was her that made him fall

He walked next to her and stood at her side

He asked what she saw and she simply replied

"I see it very lovely but dull at the same time

It sounds pretty dumb, I hope you don't mind"

He chuckled at her answer a cute one it seem

When she saw him smile, it made her beam.

The boy asked the girl, "What is your name?"

She wanted to tell him, but the excuse is quite lame

For he was a stranger and they had just met.

But something about him didn't make her fret.

She told him, "I can't tell you, but just call me Ms. Heart."

He kissed her hand and said, "Then I'll be Mr. Art"

Weeks went by and they saw Paris with their own eyes

They watch the sun together as it set and rise

Day by day, as they spent more time with each other

These feelings started to stir for one another

One day Mr. Art said, "I have a brilliant plan

I want to paint you, really I can"

"Why is it me that you so badly want to paint?"

She blushed, "I'm not pretty at all, really I ain't"

"Who told you that? I'll punch him, I will

Now sit down right here. No, sit very still"

But he was scared, for his art skill was still gone

And all she would see was how awfully she was drawn

He worked very hard, and within hours he finally finished

He watched to see her expression was what he wished

"Who is this girl? She's too beautiful to be me"

"That's you. And everyone will look at you in envy"

"You'll probably sell this painting, seeing it'll be good pay

"Never," he said, "I'll keep it forever, okay?"

They walked holding hands, staying together

Wanting that this night will stay like this forever

They went on top of the famous Eiffel Tower

And he leaned down, just about to kiss her

But she said, "I have something to confess

I'm leaving tonight I'm sorry I made this mess."

She cried as she ran to her place and packed all her stuff

She left in hours, knowing her heart had enough

The boy stood there broken, not knowing what to do

For he never got the chance to tell her, "I love you."

He quickly packed his bags and hopped on a plane

To find the girl he love who doesn't know his name

Ms. Heart arrived home to find a big surprise

In her home was a fiance like some kind of prize

Her parents had brought him so she could be wed

But she loved Mr. Art, and her heart wanted to fled

Mr. Art finally found her, see what has happened

His heart broke, and he vowed to never love again

Ms. Heart went to an art museum after many men to decline

She wanted no other but Mr. Art, but all she could do is whine

She observed at an art, that look so familiar

It looked like the painting of her, very similar

"So he really did sell it. I knew it, I knew"

"Oh really? Well I can't do much but argue"

She turned and saw him, it was her Mr. Art

They hugged, nothing could ever keep them apart

"Why is it here? You promised you wouldn't sell"

"Actually this museum is mine, you couldn't tell?

It was you who got my drawing skill back

It was love that my heart and art lack"

"My heart has always been weak, beyond repair

I was scared it would break, if I didn't care

You've fixed my heart when it was broken

And I never thanked you, not even with a token"

"That's not needed," as he went down on one knee

"Now answer this, would you be my bride to be?"

Mrs. Heart couldn't find the right words to say

She was worried her parents wouldn't say okay

When she came home, saying her heart has a right

Her parents said yes, saying it was alright

Sadly, no longer was there such a Ms. Heart

Instead there was a couple, named Mr. and Mrs. Art

______________________________________

This is the touching romantic poem I made. I was taking an afternoon nap (too much Wattpad isn't good for you, you know) and I had this dream that a girl was running through an art museum, and her heart was pounding very hard. And everywhere she saw, either on the paintings or on people, she saw this one guy. So I got inspired to make of this poem.

I'll be writing a short story of this in case there are parts in the poem you don't get. And make sure to read my other poems, The Shadow of Me, Ms. Amnesia, and Who's Superman?

Hope you enjoyed the poem!
