💠 Bluey & Bingo 💠

.

Highly recommend Bluey
on Disney Channel and Disney+.

For Madie's 2nd Birthday
we threw her a Bluey party.

The piñatas I made were
of Bluey & her sister Bingo.

.

I cut rectangular slits on 3 foam boards and then slid all of them together to make rounded bodies for the two pups.

Painters tape or masking tape is great for keeping the boards in place.

I stapled plastic from a soda bottle at the top and cut 2 holes to run a long ziptie through the 2 holes. The ziptie can rip through the foam, so the plastic adds support.

Make sure to leave room for the ears that will also go at the top of the head.

Poster paper were cut into strips and stapled carefully around the foam board to give a more rounded shape.

As a nose, I used an old Amazon box & cut/formed I into a more trapezoidal shape.

Staples and tape are your best friends.

Make sure to add the ears and limbs before you begin to close up the piñata.

Honestly, you might add them before adding the initial strips. 🤷🏻‍♀️ (you live, you learn)

I cut hands, feet, & ears out of foam board. 2 layers I glued together to make them thicker & thus more proportional. Make them a little longer than necessary. That extra length is where you will attach (staple/tape) it to the piñata.

The arms/legs are made from paper towel rolls and wrapping paper rolls which where cut open and rolled tighter & taped shut.

To continue that rounded shape & to strengthen the piñatas, I stapled more strips to the strips.

To cover up more holes & give strength, I cut up strips from paper grocery bags & stapled them on.

Once you have it covered, I suggest drawing out some details, labeling colors. You might add lines to mark the center of your piñata. Or add arrow designating the direction your tissues will go.

(I suggest spray painting your piñata white or a dominat color, or using masking tape that is that vanilla color. And use pencil and not sharpie/marker to write on the piñata. The darker this tape & marks are... the more tissues you will need to hide it later. 🤷🏻‍♀️)

Cover your piñata from the limbs inward, and from the bottom up.

The eyes are 2 layers of printer paper that were cut & I drew the black border & pupils. (2 layers so the white pops) Nose & mouth are also printer paper thay was colored in with a sharpie.

Added ribbon and flowers cut from tissue

.

Like a lot of my piñatas, I made these two in way too short of time. I made the eyes an hour before the party started. I would change those had I had the time.

I also ran out of the correct color tissues for both, so I had to make due. That's why they look patchy. Ugh.

Don't look too hard, lol.
