I am a self taught piñata maker. Someone who's picked up skills from other things or watched tutorial. I have never had formal piñata training. So, as the chapters/piñatas progress... please follow and learn from my progress.

Each piñata I make comes with its own challenges.

I think I failed in the face of the pink dino & the feet of the yellow dino. They're cute, but the face isn't very dino, & the feet are a cut out of feet stuck onto toiletpaper rolls.

I'm still learning & figuring out how to make feet that can hold weight & stay balanced.

Maybe I should have instead of adding the green foot shaped paper, added nails to the toiletpaper rolls like what you see on elephants. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I drew, cut, & painted my dinos' features, but if you have a printer or cricut go on right ahead & save yourself the stress & time.

Staples, masking tape, & glue gun are your best friends when making piñatas. They can hold things in place, sharpen your lines when painting, help you add or change the shape of your piñata, or even add/remove texture.

I wasn't happy with the tail of the long Dino, so I bent the cone shape I had & held it in place with tape.

You can always go over the tape with glue & newspaper.
